Hello
Monke
Road to 1 mil let’s go
Bonjour
Unrelated, but mankeys are so op in low level pokemon mystery dungeons, they can do like triple digits when you have 30 hp.
Mankey has joined the highly exclusive "We somehow lost to Bruno" Club. Now Zapdos has a friend.
And I love that both members of that club were some of the best for solo runs

Freaking karate chop not being a fighting move. There are a lot of problems with gen 1 but for some reason that one really gets to me.
Yeah, since it's not a bug or anything, they either consciously decided it should be Normal, or actually forgot to type it as Fighting
Yeah, I just don't get how something so blatantly obvious is just ignored.
Well it also means it doesn't get resisted by Psychic types so it helps against Erika
@@rooislangwtf I mean you are right about Psychic and you're right about it helping against Erika but for that sentence to make sense I'm curious if you meant to say Poison or Sabrina.
Well also another one is brought up many times by Mah-Dry-Bread that goldeen's horn attack and peck is literally the same and one can hit ghost while the other can't. It is literally the same horn

That transition from dig in Blaine's gym to the teleporting portal in Sabrina's gym was so S M O O T H

Nice Dig
Didn't notice it but great creative editing!
I was just gonna say this haha
Bruno: Is one hit from unironically beating Jrose in their first fight.
Also Bruno: *Uses Fissure and X Defend*
There are good fighting moves in gen 1, it's just that they're all on Hitmonlee.
And the fact fighting types were useless next to bug in gen 1
Not to mention that Psychic dominated in Gen 1.
@@danielotano8677 people only say fighting types are useless because of how prominent psychic types are in competitive. But those people don't actually understand gen 1 meta because fighting types work great against the also prominent normal types and the rocks. Bug types in gen 1 just don't have a lot of good tools to make use of at all, but fighting types sure do.
@@terraSpark902 and then you find out machamp couldn't even one hit chansey without a crit in gen 1
@@danielotano8677 And then you find out that doesn't matter because nothing could 1 hit KO chansy in gen 1

I came to say the same thing. Haha
Same here 😂
I noticed that too!
I noticed as well -- its almost perfect! But not quite. The sabrina's footage started a few frames too early (as he was teleporting out of one room, before showing him landing in another) .. otherwise woulda been perfection
Bro you can do all 151 and I'll watch, comment, and like every one of them

The Hiker's first Geodude used Defense Curl, giving it just enough to hang on. The Graveler didn't.
exactly! and there may have also been low damage roll on Geodude and high on Graveler
Also Geodude v Graveler's defense stat is 110 v 115 so not that big a difference
Was going to comment this. Stat boosting moves: they're pretty damn good.
I posted a comment about the stats with this. The defense curl is the reason, but the HP and defense stats change between geodude and graveler because of the evolution and the slight level difference. I estimated that the +1 def geodude would always need to be a 2HKO with mankey using dig, having about 78%-94% geodude's hp damage range. Whereas the Graveler was a 15/16 chance to be a 1HKO with dig, with a range of about 98%-116% of the graveler's hp.

Except for a few types of "lower tier" trainers (like youngsters), almost all trainers in Gen 1 knows that you can't paralyze, poison or put a Pokémon to sleep if it's already suffering from one of those conditions, is burned or is frozen. That's why, despite Exeggutor having "good" AI, it will use barrage and stomp when Mankey is asleep instead of going for Hypnosis.

Jrose, you haven't "cued ice theme" in a while. I'm kind of missing it
Against rival number six: shouldn't you have used agilities against rhyhorn instead of pidgeot?
Probably. Rhydon's got 1 move that can't affect the mankey, 1 move that does terrible damage, and 2 debuffs that would kill defense(which can only be lowered so much), but would also trigger the badge-boost, leading to likely sweeping the rest of the team and even one-shotting the Rhydon when he finally did attack it.

why didn't you just mimic harden from bruno's first onix?
i'd think that makes the fight more consistent
Bruno is so infrequently a problem that I think the possibility went straight over his head. He had to think about it to start using withdraw over amnesia for lorelei after all. All these special attackers have definitely built up some muscle memory.
There's a possibility that the time would need to set up the badge boost glitch and just harden in general would provide Bruno ample time to hit him with rocks, maybe if Onix got locked into rage.
Plus, I don't think changing from paper defence to cardboard wikk make too much of a difference
