the way Tim didn't shout or anything made it that much more impactful, he really was free
By sorting out the time I must say I can’t agree with you more. The next time they saw each other is 1986, Tim has terminal AIDS, he constantly questioned why Hawk came and what he wanted. He has completely moved on from Hawk on the governor’s ball by joking to Hawk sth like “it feels like we’re on a date”(they have NEVER dated in public) Hawk replied “Be aware I might make a pass”(which he wouldn’t anymore) and Tim replied sarcastically “A girl can hope, can’t she?” Outside the ball he SPLITS with Hawk by the most loving, most tender, most caring but relived way saying you WERE my great consuming love… I want to fight this fight, that means to let go of everything else including you Hawk.
The finale gets me a big time on every aspect but I always find comfort that Tim freed himself with the courage to do the right thing.
No he wasn't. Marcus said in 1986 that he tried dating, but something/someone got in the way (Hawk).
That’s way before he got diagnosed. Him moving on in terms of he no longer lets if Hawk can be with him or not bothers him. He knows he loves Hawk and that’s enough.
And that made an impact on hawk as well ..he was moved to not lose to drugs and Tim actually saved him from dying here ❤
Way to go Skippy!
*I’ve wasted all this time. My life on you.*
*Don’t go. Don’t go, please.*
*I’m done with you. I’m free.*
*Skippy…*
Tim finally gave Hawk what he deserved for a long, long time. Seeing Hawk beg was satisfying; the tables finally turned after 20 years, Tim said what needed to be said and walked away from Hawk. A little heartbreaking that he can never be in love and happy with the man he fell in love with but good on him for having the strength to tell him it’s over.
But some of the blame does fall on Tim; he knew how Hawk was in the beginning. He chose to stay with him through the years knowing Hawk would never be his. He's should have left Hawk after he got married.
@@charlesdavis545agree with you. Could have just move on
@@charlesdavis545we wish we have that maturity when we fall for someone especially felt what love is for the first time. Hawk wasn't inexperienced he knew what exactly could happen when someone like Tim comes in a life of absolute fuckall person like hawk
I get that Tim continued to fall for Hawk over and over again, but that was kind of my point that although it’s taken 20 years, here he’s finally the one with the power walking away and telling him that he’s done.
You know the saying *you forgive your first love anything* well I’d think maybe that’s what it was with Tim always falling for Hawk and going back to him despite all the warnings he got from Marcus and Mary.
Regardless, the way I see it - Tim could have moved on - but it’s not all on Tim alone that he never got over Hawk: Hawk made romantic gestures, came back to Tim himself a couple times to be with him despite how society and laws were in the 50s, and the cuff links he gave him for Christmas and how Tim reacted saying *I can’t bear being this happy*
But I don’t disagree that Tim could have moved on and deserved better with someone who would have loved him and given him their love because Hawk was too proud and scared to give him his, or rather all of his love.
Tim’s love for Hawk always got in the way of every other romance he had though.
"I'm done with you..."
I hate how it is always about Hawk and his feelings. Not once, not once is Tim allowed to express his emotions and have them acknowledged. Tim always has to be the voice of reason and tend to all of Hawks whims. The price Tim has to pay for loving Hawk is absolutely not fair. I know despite all his actions and their impact, Hawk does love Tim deeply; there is only one episode left and I dont think it will be enough for Hawk's redemption.
I kind of disagree; Tim found his voice and expressed his opinions and emotions often. Both Hawk and Tim pushed and challenged each other constantly. Tim upended Hawk as much as Hawk upended Tim. They truly were good for each other, they completed each other in a lot of ways. But they both broke each other's hearts. This was the first and only relationship either of them were ever in...yes, Hawk was married but he didn't have this type of relationship with her. His heart and soul was not on the line with her, just his identity.
Poor Skippy--the idealist who believed in true love and tried to be the good guy who eventually winds up with AIDS, and Hawk the selfish slut who lived hard and fast but remains healthy (for now). Life is not fair. (caveat: I haven't seen this full episode yet in case more is revealed)
Feels painful but very realistic
Hawk got a wake up call from Tim in this episode...they have such a deep passionate love for one another... it's absolutely beautiful 🙏🥰❤️
This was one of the hardest episodes to watch.
The slamming of that door…🥺
Marvellous writing & acting .. and authentic tragedy.
Incredible acting 👏
Wow, I haven't seen the show yet; but if the actors are that good, I'm getting Showtime! Powerful!
You are not gonna regret. Is also on Prime Video. Brilliant show 💯
@@silviam.leitegregory1604 I didn’t know it was on prime video I thought I had to get showtime? Dang it I got showtime.
I just watched this episode. An excellent show

The ending of episode 7 tells us Skippy doesn’t have a lot of time left! 😩
This. This got through Hawk! „I’m free.“ All the years he was sure Tim is out there, yearning for him. But now, seemingly cutting the ties, that hit Hawk like a fckng train. He couldn’t even breathe properly…
That was because the drugs
He knew he had him by his side the thought of Tim being free from hawk shattered him ..believe it or not ..hawk fukcing loved tim
Go Tim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First time Hawk is vulnerable.
About time
the sheer amount of high-octane voltage carried in that point tim throws him is INCROYABLE

Episode 7 went Boogie Nights.
Wear can i watch all of this please
In this scene I hear Tim singing “Rootless tree” by Damien Rice 💔
Are there any free websites to watch this episode in???? I’ve been looking for one and I can’t seem to find it!!
Haurwatch
Tim is my favorite character in a way even he gay and catholic he doesn’t want to die or let Hawk die either! In a way I can’t put in words but Tim is a pro-life it’s not like an abortion thing!
No no no!!! I haven't watched E.7 yet! 😖What is Hawk doing?! Skippy, please don't leave Hawk.😖😖😖
If you'll watch it you understand why
@@breatheinmyworld8230 I understand it now. But Hawk was a mess because he could not accept his son's death. (That was unexpected.) I hope Tim will forgive him afterwards. And in the last scene, please don't let Skippy die. 😭
How did hawks son die ?
Heroin overdose.
@@shootingamerica3646 thank you . Was it explained why he was on drugs? Was he gay as well or was there something else going on with him.
@@Oceansandvineyards4752 Jackson was a rebellious kid who had a problematic relationship with his father. It was intimated that he might be gay as well. Like many teenagers who had family problems, they more than likely indulged in drugs.

so sad
The wig on Tim's head is laughable.😅
Eu estou achando o Jonathan tão esquisito com esse cabelo, bigode,! Chega ser engraçado!!Essa caracterização dele está ridícula ! Não gostei!
That’s a lot of bad wigs
Hawk was honest from the beginning. Stay away from me for your own good. Skippy chose to diregard this advice and he paid for it. But what did he expect? That just because they had a little talk by the pool, Hawk would be miraculously cured? Very often this show is poorly written and this is because they deviated so much from the book. Their love story in the book makes much more sense even though it's almost unbearably sad.
Did they make many changes from the book?
Yes. In the book the love affair ends in the 50s. There is no 60s, 70s or 80s (no AIDS) and there is no Marcus story at all. @@super2NE1generation
I think they both knew exactly what they got themselves into and that it would’ve been the smartest to stay away from each other. Their love though was so profound, they were like magnets. Unfortunately time and society wasn’t on their sides. Tim might have taken the risk even then just to be with Hawk. But Hawk not 😢
maam the screenwriter wrote philedialphia, you're writing youtube comments; maybe you're not the barometer for what good screenwriting is
And just because he did one thing right, this means he is going to do everything right. Great logic, hopefully you are not voting for awards and such. @@yessica4932
I hope hawk tested positive for THAT 🙄
