The two most vulnerable spots for attack is when you are just coming and just going. It could be your car or home. Entering and exiting your car and or home. At home " shove ins" are most deadly. That happens as soon as you unlock your door you are shoved in by the perp and victimized. It could also happen entering your car. Entering and exiting are the most vulnerable times because that's when we are most distracted.

I'd say, because SUVs are tall and have more ground clearance, it might be an attacker waits underneath, perhaps behind a wheel, so look under your car, too.

@@colshdor again, this is a super American response. Sure, violent crime "can" happen any time, but in civilized places it is so rare that it's not worth the effort to prepare. In many cities, women and children can walk alone at night with no fear. Just not in the USA
