One time the government produces a positive side effect of a regulation, it's about the only thing the government produces that encourages delayed gratification nowadays.
Just got my first Can approved, took 5 and half month only, can't wait for my other 3 cans I bought last BF season to arrive! Also glad to see another fellow Asian gun tuber!

I personally think the ATF drags their heels on this stuff intentionally. They don't like that civilians are able to own this stuff but they can't stop it. So they just make it take as long as possible. When people hear how long it takes for approval they are discouraged from buying. It sucks having upwards of $1500 dollars for can and stamp just floating in the ether for over a year in some cases, waiting for approval from an agency that hates the 2A.
It took awhile to get my last two suppressors but I'm glad that they were approved. I wouldn't want to wait through the possible future slow downs.
I disagree. I think our Government just is what is is unfortunately as far as speed of service.
A general suggestion for life would be to check your work before submitting to make sure it makes sense.
It's the governenment. Anything with the government is slow. I'm still waiting for my tax return from last year! My first can took 9 months. My second can I got lucky and took 7 months. Both were paper. I just got an SBR. I bet it will take at least a year.
Just a FYI for the community: Form 1's seem to have been put on hold. The only two F1 examiners (Carol Ripley and Nathan Hartsock) have been doing F4's for the last week. No new F1 approvals since 1/13/23, and with this recent tidal wave of "free amnesty" brace eform 1's I'm fearing recent average of eF1 approvals just went from being 15-30 days to many months, possibly longer. I have a couple f1's that were due to be back any day now but thats probably not going to happen any time soon now lol. We'll see.
Well that’s not good news for me because I’m waiting for a Form 1 approval any day now.
I have an F4 from mid 2022, so hope that clears within a year!

The good thing about the pistol brace is you don’t need the stamp with it if you have submitted the f1, you only need proof of the submission to carry with it. Hopefully this pistol sbr brace rule will get paused. And I also heard that they have people working on form approvals 7 days a week. That may be a bonus. I have a long ways to go for my suppressor, it was submitted on 10/5/22, lol. I honestly don’t understand why the are STILL on the NFA list.
Form 4 efiled a suppressor and total wait time was 8 months. Actual approval time was 6 months. I just filed a form 1 in January and was approved in about 50 days

I think when Dettelbach took over, people working in the NFA division were “re-allocated” in order to slow-walk Form 4 approval times.
I have some NFA stuff that I want to buy but at this point there's no reason considering that there's no telling how long an approval would take to get.

Well, I would consider looking in the mirror and asking what you're doing about it.
The first step is to actually make them widely used. Not buying NFA items means you're 100% complying with the ATF because the ATF would love to have all of this stuff 100% illegal to own.

It is what it is. It's ultimately your decision. But if you don't get the paperwork in, you'll likely never get a suppressor.

Well, then maybe they shouldn't have cashed my $400 if they're going to take most of a year to deliver, as any business doesn't charge your card until they ship. Government not of the people.

I won't be doing it again.
My thoughts.... skip the NFA route and do what you want.

I think I would be ok with a 6 month wait if it was certain. My first can was paper and took 14 months. Waiting on 2 more that I imagine will be approved around July if I get a 9 month approval.
Things are definitely too uncertain at the moment for me to get any more NFA items.

I’m at 198 days now for my form 4. Want to know a fun fact? My form 1 was submitted and approved all within less than a quarter of that time.

Day 212 on my first silencer purchase & day 23 on my other. I bought into the 90 day bullshit. Thankfully my kids will never have to go through this.

Both my suppressors took 6 months each. About to get another and would love to have it within a month but I know that probably isn't going to happen.

I’m at day 271 on my e form 4 it really sucks first suppressor ever and I don’t think I will do this again that and the brace timing sucks for everyone now

My five (5) eForm 4 suppressors have take 260-days on the ATF side, plus 1-3 weeks on each side for shipping and other delays. Im so feed up with waiting but like you said, we have no choice but to just buy and then bitch because everyday you wait is just one more day longer you have to wait. The simple and only logical solution is remove suppressors and SBR's from the NFA, the NFA should only be for machine-guns, and Form 1 machine-guns should be allowed!

The wait time is stupid. Ok, Maybe a 6 or 12 month time for the FIRST NFA item, but after you have one, all subsequent once should take no more than 30 days PERIOD. There should be a check box that basically says "Do you possesses an NFA item already?" If so, then your application should be fast tracked.
Logical thinking and the government. Two things that don't always go hand in hand.
Wow I wish mine was 160 days filed mine last year finally got mine but after their games it ended up being 1 year 1 month and 20 days =415 days but now finally shooting my Q full Nelson

Jesus how did you get so lucky to get your suppressors in such short times? The least amount of time it's taken me to get one of my suppressors was 16 months
There are others that have gotten NFA items much quicker than me. You never know what you're going to get.

People were supposedly getting suppressors back in single digit days when eForms was re-released. That didn't last too long though.
my first submitted on 10/2016 and was approved.. 05/2018 ... 2nd one submitted 09/22... still waiting....

I know this is an older video and I'm not sure anyone will answer being way at bottom but here it goes. I submitted my form 4 in Dec of 22 thinking this eform was gonna take like 6 months. It's Nov of 23 and not a peep from the atf. I'm wondering if I should go and buy another suppressor if that would speed up the first 1?
I don’t see how buying another suppressor would speed the first one up. The suppressor would just go in the queue and you’ll likely not see it for another year.
I bought my silencer in March of 22. I just got approved 2 weeks ago. I got a soft copy of the stamp. Do they send a physical stamp to me or my FFL? Do I even get a physical stamp now? 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
From my experience, I’ve only gotten the email and I print it out yourself.

The Haooomaru was my first choice because I'm a red/black color combo type of guy but Sakito had the biggest influence on my guitar career so it was a must. I'll add the white one and a Haooomaru to my collection one day!

If I remember correctly, ESP discontinued the ESP Forest GT, which is a huge shame as I can actually afford one now as an adult but it's rare to find a new one. Sakito made me absolutely fall in love with the Forest before he got his signature.

Would anyone know why i received a email saying “missing transfer information” from silencer shop after purchase? Everything is 100% and complete.
I haven’t had that exact error so can’t speak on that specifically but I’ve had SilencerShop sending me emails asking me to finish my paperwork months after I already got an NFA item approval. I would contact them directly to ask rather than ask random people on the internet.
@@HaiTran I’m contacting them first thing this morning. I’m asking “random people on the internet” if anyone else experienced this problem to get an idea of what I’m in for.
General thought but the internet can lead people astray and complicate things. Something you don’t want when dealing with highly regulated items that can result in a lot of prison time. Getting a direct professional answer in this kind of situation may be the better choice even if it takes a bit more work and patience.

You would think they would process form 4s as fast as possible since it’s more revenue for them. Government work makes no sense
The way they set it up, I can only assume a Form 1 is easier to process than a Form 4 and it costs people $200 for either so it's logical to pump out Form 1s. The free amnesty Form 1s obviously aren't as profitable but I doubt they are taking priority. They're probably just in the mix with paid Form 1s. Also, the amnesty Form 1s are just something they have to deal with now that the brace rule is in effect.
I did eforms for two at the same time. May 6th, 2022. They were 9 numbers apart on the forms. I was approved Jan 31st for the first one. Well, it's almost the end of March..... Still nothing on the second one. I'm glad to get one, but where is the second? Anyone having any approval, or did they just stop approvals?

You realistically don’t. You sit, wait and cross your fingers.
They should have 90 days to approve. After 90 days go pickup your item. Case closed
You would suggest that to the ATF. They’ll probably appreciate your input 👍🏽

Yeah no. All my eforms took 10 months. The US government loves to take money and then drag ass on providing the service they collect the money for. I play the NFA game but the fact the US government is so inept at doing anything and getting it done is what I don't like.

Did you put your silencers and SBR all in the same trust or as individual? Sounds like ATF and SilencerShop do not allow Trusts for the brace-pistol to SBR eform 1. czcams.com/video/rdPeHXDUZ7s/video.html
I put them all through Silencer Shop’s Single Shot Trust and I believe they set up a different trust per item.
As far as the free Form 1’s and trusts, Silencer Shop made a blog saying that unless the item was already under a trust prior to the final brace ruling, you can’t get a free tax stamp when filing under a trust. That’s completely weird to me because why would you even put an item under a trust unless you’re doing NFA stuff. So to me, it’s just a way of forcing everyone to file as an individual. Extremely lame.
@@HaiTran as some speculate… that way they know exactly where & who has the SBR in the event form1 is not approved in 88 days then enforcement action begins. 😳
Well, that in itself doesn't make much sense. Just because the Form 1 isn't approved doesn't mean that there is an illegal SBR. As we all know, you're not supposed to assemble your SBR until you get the approval and the lower is engraved. So, if the Form 1 isn't approved, it doesn't mean that people have an illegal fully assembled SBR. They can have the lower sitting by itself away from an upper and/or stock/brace.
