A lot of motorcycle farings don't turn with the front forks they remain in line with the frame of the bike and they stay that way. I don't like it but a lot of people do. the fairing on my bike moves with the front forks when you turn the fairing turns makes more sense visually to me when i'm riding.

Some people have the same complaint about the difference between a Harley street glide and the road glide. Road glide faring doesn’t move, so it messes with street glide riders when they get on a road glide. They don’t like it.

The better half is wanting to ride bikes again and I don't fit my bike. I'm too tall I end up hunched over and it hurts my back. Been looking at e bikes and for my intermittent use etc that would be a perfect choice for me. And I would ride allot more even with just a light assist as these are just trails along rivers and railroad tracks which are level for the most part. Looks like a great bike for guys like me that don't need anything special and don't use it allot.

the Elctric XP 3.0 is (as of video release day) available for $999 and includes some nice extras. It is a folding, step through bike. regular price is, I think about $1200

Lectric 3.0 is a good product.

First, only buy a folding bike if you absolutely need one. The geometry change on folding bikes just makes it a worse riding experience all the way around. You can check out my review of the kbo folder and I say the same thing. As to Lectric... Now that they have a solid market share I see them acting pretty sketchy. Take a look on the page for that XP 3. Good luck finding out how many Amp hours that battery is. I had to find it in a totally different section of their website and now I know why, it's 10Ah. I won't review bikes with that small of a battery. The motor is a 500w, again we don't review bikes with specs that low. Check out the gear system and brakes, no mention at all of who makes it. You would think with as much market share as they have they must have decent customer service but everything I've seen is the exact opposite. Not sure how they get so much hype.

My biggest complaint is weight. Lifting into my minivan is a challenge. E-bikes are meant to be ridden roundtrip from the garage.

I dont care what ppl sat but these need to be classified as a moped. I get the ebike thing. I think they need to evolve some laws for these since they are fairly new. So a minor can just drive what is basically a motorcycle sans license and insurance and it be just fine?. I dont have the answer. Just know this isnt going to work for long wiithout some sort of rules for them. Ive kinda felt that way about bikes as well that travel in roadways. They arent supposed to be on sidewalks either so just think it all needs re thought out is all.

for me, the acceptable e-bikes you may be expecting when it comes to performance and quality are above $2k and upwards unfortunately.
there are budget e-bikes and various classes and types for under $2 but it depends on what they offer and this one isn’t compelling.
there is no colour display, which is a personal dealbreaker.
the advertising is always exaggerated with motor output and range and even top speed. they always put the peak motor power and the range at pedal assist 1 going at an impractically slow speed.
likely the battery is not ul certified.
if you are curious, some bikes i might recommend would be e-cells or wired. wired freedom and the e-cells triple crown start at $2k. e-cells has a step-through frame and bunch of configuration options and other models. wired has less options but is a direct competitor. both are u.s. based but get parts from china but support in the u.s.
for under $2, the aventon aventure.2 goes 25mph or so and seems to be a decent bike with a removable battery. i would probably use that as a benchmark to compare other ebikes in that price range.
but always practice safety first. i am not sure i would be comfortable biking in the middle of the road with an underpowered e-bike. i would stay closer to the right side of the road and wear safety gear. the added power in more powerful e-bikes lets you keep closer to the road speed limit (usually 25 to 35mph) of moving vehicles that i see it less of a safety issue than something going much slower and underpowered to get out of certain situations. again, e-bikes limited to a certain wattage may cause a larger disproportion on how fast a car on the road may be going that it may impede traffic if there are no better options like a bike lane or trail and if the bike can’t go any faster. i would be mindful of traffic as not to get in their way.
    side note:
some states like new york are cracking down on bike stores which sell batteries that are not ul certified. and there is supposed to be some kind of e-bike rebate but the list of bikes which fit the acceptable category have to be ul certified as well, showing it is not a cheap battery that may cause a fire. not sayingit will, just that the certification is some way of showing that the battery has been tested and meets certain standards.

Wired freedom is the best ebike bike hands down. They just updated it a week ago. This bike copies their design. Wired freedom is also full suspension. With duel batteries.

@@itruck96you are on crack. Not only is it not a copy of that bike, but this frame has been around for at least two years now in fact, it’s an OEM part that other bike makers sell as well and you were comparing a bike that cost basically twice as much. 😂
