    LOL. I'm Italian. I don't know how to say this, but I "americanize" all of my dishes. Alfredo? Cream. Carbonara? Bacon and cream. Fresh pasta? Nah. I can't do it.. it's so soggy and mushy. I buy boxed pasta and cook it al dente. I just cannot get behind fresh pasta. I hate myself for it, but blegh.

      CAP. You are not italian and you exposed yourself with the "fresh pasta" meme, 95% of italians use premade boxed pasta already, only Americans think Italians are hand rolling pasta everytime they are going to make some pasta. You watch too many movies, sure italians in general are passionate about food but they have a 9 to 5 and kids, they dont have time to be handcrafting rigatoni and spaghetti for every meal a real Italian wouldnt think to say that 😂😂😂

      Woah.. you’re the second Italian person I’ve ever seen that prefers some American-style Italian dishes than traditional. Most I’ve seen are really crazy about keeping their foods traditional

    Fettucine Alfredo is food which you will never find in a "genuine" Italian restaurant as it not deemed to be "distiguished" worth being served outside your home. This is a dish merely to be served to Americans who believe that it is authentic Italian restaurant food. Ask yourself: How many Italians have been at "Alfredos" that night? Anyway, if you like it........(but it is a litlle bit like going to McDonalds at the Spagna) There a tons of genuine restaurants with real high quality food (not only in Rome but e.g. also in Milano, Bologna etc.) try these.

    Respectfully disagree. I've never had it from Alfredo's but I always make it the Italian way and prefer it (both are good tho 🖤), but they're also basically completely different dishes despite sharing a name. That said, Giolitti is probably the best gelato I've ever had, I need to go back soon 😍

    To each their own, Fetuccine Alfredo from Alfredo is my favourite by far. The creaminess that other chefs give it puts me off.

    As a New Yorker. I like the fake flavor better lmao I prefer the creamy sauce Alfredo all day😩 same way sometimes I like the artificial strawberry taste nd hate real ones 😂 I’m guilty

    Dude, my gf and I cooked alfredo the Italian way the other night and it was aggressively mid. The Parmesan was just waaaay too overpowering, and after it cooled down it was near impossible to eat
