    I want to thank you Dan..I have had chronic pain for 7 years, have been listening to you religiously for over a year now. For the first time in years I was able to play volleyball with my husband and son this weekend. I kept telling myself that I’m safe, my brain tried to get the pain to come back while playing and I ignored it and kept going. I even fell, scratched up my knee, but no back or sciatica pain for the first time in 7 years! I’m so happy!
    I am just sore and it feels great, my son was so happy that I got to play with him for two hours. This stuff works folks!!

    I cured my chronic pelvic pain. It’s probably been about a year now- I would have to look to see when I did my Dan Buglia interview. Over that period of time I have some flare ups. But now I don’t go to physical issues, I know exactly what do do. I used the Curable App and I listen to ‘TMS’ videos. Dan’s Videos are among my favorite.

    Back to basics. Love it. It’s amazing how you’re saying the same stuff every day but it hits the brain a little differently each time. And certain times the way you say it just clicks and really helps set in the deep belief. Repetition is the way. It really helps the brain see the light. Thanks Dan

    I found your channel a couple of weeks ago and have been experimenting with the concepts. I went to the beach with friends during the weekend and for the first time was able to walk down a fairly steep incline down to the beach and back up. I was even able to walk on the deep, loose sand (my balance and mobility have been challenging). I just kept telling my brain that I’m safe and stayed very focused and present in the moment. It really felt like a milestone. Thank you for your work!! ❤

    I am struggling trying to put the severe anxiety/panic attacks sensations etc into the, " its TMS" box. Work in progress. Got out and into local council offices (good turn for two friends)and stayed in the queue and even helped staff with an admin printing issue, despite stomach sensation and high anxiety. Then went to the park and sat for a while before doing a small shop. Only headed back home after 3hours outdoors.
    Glad our feedback helps. Humanity could learn so much if we ALL just took the time to listen and learn and share. Thanks for today's video.

      When you look at panic attacks, it is all driven by the brain perceiving danger. Thus - TMS category of issues. Same solution. Safety.

      @1STBUCKLEY, last night I was at a social gathering, and I had what I call the “monkey on my back.” It’s a terrible mental awareness of anxiety, and physical sensations accompany this awareness, a tightness in the shoulders and chest. I couldn’t even listen to the speaker. Often the anxiety Is this nameless horror that I have to uncover or excavate because I’m used to being detached from my own feelings. For example, I’ll have a feeling of irritation with a person, which I can admit to myself, but I don’t know why I have the irritation. I have to work on uncovering the why. I’ve buried it. It gets exhausting. All this yes-but-why.
      It took some work last night, but I finally uncovered the thing that was driving the anxious feeling, and when I did, the physical sensation ceased. Poof. Just like that. And then the mental yammering calmed down, and I was free for a few blessed hours.
      This morning, it’s different. I have a new physical sensation that I won’t bore you with, and it’s because I have to have “a talk” with someone about the thing I excavated last night. I’m dreading it. Now I have to find a way to forgive myself, calm down, and relax that part of my body that is giving me a bit of grief. The anxiety is gone, but the brain still believes I need to protect myself in this situation. “This is dangerous.” Blah blah. So boring.
      I hope this serves as a bit of “proof” to folks who think that the anxiety or panic attacks are somehow a separate issue. At this point, somebody would have quite a job on their hands convincing me that it isn’t TMS/PDP. It’s all connected. It’s a mindbody system that is sensing social danger when there is none. The saddest part, for me, is that if I were in social peril, in danger of being ostracized for example, it’s very unlikely that hip pain would help me in any way. I mean, WTF, right?
      When I think of that, it’s quite hilarious.

    Dan - your statement “chronic pain is just pain that’s lasted longer than a normal acute injury. it doesn’t mean it’s forever” - biggest change in mindset ever for me! as soon as I hear the word chronic my association is permanent. I am going to re-wire this into my brain 100x.
    Thank you for all you are doing … in my 1+ year of chronic symptoms your videos have made a bigger difference than any of the 20 doctors I’ve seen, any of the pts/acupuncturists/alternative treatments I’ve tried. In the last week since realizing I’m not “broken” and there’s nothing wrong with me - I’ve returned to lifting weights and worked out 4 times! I quit lifting 15 months ago being convinced something structural was wrong. Returning to things I love like lifting and mountain biking, even with the day after soreness, has made a world of difference. I’m not symptom free yet but I’ve resumed my life. Thank you a million Dan, I am planning to join the group next week!

I’ve done the assessment on your brilliant website and scored 34. I’ve been doing well and getting back to normal activities again by following your approach. However I’ve had a big discouragement today. I saw a consultant who says my pain is all due to arthritis. My question is- can your approach help with arthritic pain? I’d be so grateful to know. So many thanks for your wonderful work. Much love Jenny

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Před rokem +1

      Disregard what the consultant said. How do they know YOUR pain is from arthritis? We ALL have arthritis and as we get older, it gets more pronounced. Yet, so many do not have pain. Most important is to look at the score on the pain test. 34 means your pain is NOT from your body, but from your brain perceiving danger. Yes, you can still get better. Do not buy into the OPINION (not fact) that your arthritis is causing the pain. You have pain. You have some arthritis. So what. At 58 years old I do too. We all do. Not everyone hurts.

      As an immune disorder, it's important to know that stress suppresses the immune system which can allow things like Sjogrens to occur. I know people have overcome many eye issues, including dry eyes with these concepts. • @PainFreeYou

      Hair loss is often tied to stress, so it is very possible it is Perceived Danger. I have anecdotal stories from people in my community who experienced hair lost and it has gotten better. You can too.

    My problem is not pain per se. I have some pain from the chronic ITCH I have. Started with an actual infection during a high-stress time. Infection clared out, but the itch stayed. Lots of tests, medications, ridiculously restrictive diets, and doctor's visits... no relief for the past 3 years. Tried living my life again. It's still persistent. It's tormenting me, Dan. I can't seem to ignore the symptoms since chronic itch is so hard to ignore. I've gotten rid of chronic headaches and tummy aches, but haven't seen success with getting rid of this itch. I have learned that pain and itch travel in the same pathway to the brain. What's the best way to stop fearing and giving attention to itch?

    Hey Dan, Have you come across how to deal with misophonia?

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I don't know much about misophonia specifically, but teaching the brain that the sounds are not in fact dangerous and that you are safe is always a good idea. The brain perceiving the sounds as dangerous is why there may be the strong reactions to sound. Safety is the solution.
      Watch my fast start playlist. Substitute misophonia for the word pain in my videos. I share what is going on and what to do about it. Watch, take notes, implement, repeat. czcams.com/play/PLRJmnkn2kTTIl4frNvmpenr49xcTmVl2H.html

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Před rokem +1

      I began my understanding from Dr Sarno and his books. Since then, I have spent 2.5 decades living and learning and now teaching these concepts. Sarno believed it was about repressed emotions being considered dangerous and pain was a distraction. I believe the perception of dangers can go way beyond just emotions. It's not just the chronic pain, it's the mental anguish and loss of hope. Too many decades of military service left my mind body and soul devastated. Fairly certain this constant breathing in and out doesn't help. I'm sure I'm aware of how to end the pain. There is a logical solution. There is no hope or meaning.
