    I flew Iberia business in October 2023. I probably booked it in January or maybe February and I knew about it because of a video you did prior to that time. I have used your tutorials many times to learn how to book flights. It has been one of the best learning tools for me. Thank you for all your great content.

    Can never go wrong with AC Aeroplan, the only thing is to pay attention if the itinerary is business class all the way or "mixed cabins" depending on where you're flying to. Always clutch with these tips Max💥

    Have you ever made a video on buying economic seats and then upgrading them to business class seats using miles either from the airlines or using partner airlines. Any thoughts?

    Can you do a video on Maximizing points value for Business Class ticket to India? Because, other than the widely-hated AirIndia, I'm not aware of any non-stop flights from the West coast. And once we're talking about a one-stop flight, the point requirements all seem to be jacked up for those additional few thousand miles. (E.g. Singapore airlines).

      I did this same trip but February of 2023. If you can get Turkish airlines on their new A350 (Aeroflot layout) then do it. Oh...maybe you can find it on Aeroplan, but if you have points with Citi or Capital One then you can one way ORD > IST > FCO for 45k points (if your layover in IST is longer than 9 hours in business class they book you a hotel, or you can have a free 2 or 3 day stopover where they pay for the hotel as well as transportation to the hotel and back to the airport. It's a ridiculously good deal. Also, it grants you access to their Business Class lounge, which is straight ridic. Otherwise, I would probably try Iberia or Flying Blue if you're absolutely limited to Ultimate Rewards, assuming Flying Blue has a transfer bonus (which is very common).

    Great video! Question: I have recently purchased a one way flight on Singapore Airlines traveling in business class from NYC to Perth, Australia. (Connecting in Singapore.) Is it best to use my Air France or Air Canada Frequent Flyer Number to receive credit for the purchase and the flown miles? Initially I added my United Airlines Frequent Flyer Number. However, I now realize that doing so is not the smartest decision. I have Chase Sapphire Reserve Points that I am accumulating and using for obtaining any future business class seats you Europe or Australia/NZ from the East Coast of the USA. What would you suggest? What would you do? Thank you!

    • @ryanshannon6963

      United can be great for Partner flights, not redeeming directly for United Flights. It's also great for the "Excursionist" redemptions. This could come in handy when traveling to Europe or Asia (*NOT JAPAN*, unless you're planning on leaving Japan for a different Asian country). What's also cool is that you can "stack" Excursionist redemptions to do "full or round trip itineraries" (last time I checked). This is probably worth it for partner airline redemptions, but UA has devalued their domestic valuations of their miles so much it doesn't make sense to even bother looking unless you have to. Otherwise, FlyingBlue is always a great option and the next best for UR points with *A is going to be AC Aeroplan.

      @@deltamoney2742right now may suck because of all the flight cancellations across the US for weather related issues. Booked business class to Paris non stop from Dallas for 50k per person through Flying Blue, and Iberia business class on the way back for 42,500 per person. I’ve heard the same thing about Iberia, but how can you pass up 42,500 for an 11 hour flight in business class? Guess I’ll find out how bad it is 😂

    In my experience Aeroplan is really bad value flying out of SFO to Europe. I have never seen anything prices lower than 55K in economy for a oneway when United are offering the same flights for as low as 27K. I regularly see Business on minutes for 88K but the lowest I’ve seen on Aeroplan is 139k and requires a double connection in YYZ and YUL and is also mixed cabin itin. The bloggers love to push Aeroplan though. Makes me wonder if they are being rewarded for pushing Aeroplan.

    • @MaxMilesPoints
      @MaxMilesPoints  Před 3 měsíci

      Sort the results lowest to highest. by default the results don’t show the lowest option at the top. Air Canada likes to show their flights at the top which is why you’re seeing YYZ and YUL. 88k on United is likely saver business award space (if it’s business fare class (I)), which you should find on Aeroplan as well. Find saver awards on United (while NOT logged into your United account) and you’ll likely find the same saver awards on air Canada. Bloggers love to push Aeroplan because it is a good star alliance redemption option. I’ve never been paid by Aeroplan and if I did I would have to disclose it or else I’d be taking a risk of getting fined by the ftc and Aeroplan would be taking a risk too.
