In this webinar we walk you through completing the Fafsa form for next years 2024/2025 academic year. This Fafsa form guide is to help the parent's that are married or remarried complete the form.
Free Application for Federal Student Aid
Before each year of college, apply for federal grants, work-study, and loans with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form. Your college uses your FAFSA data to determine your federal aid eligibility. Many states and colleges use FAFSA data to award their own aid.
The FSA ID allows students and parents to identify themselves electronically to access Federal Student Aid websites. An FSA ID is made up of a username and password and can be used to log into the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form.
"The FAFSA becomes available on October 1, and some schools award financial aid on a first-come, first-served basis. That's why it's so important for families to fill out the FAFSA as soon as it becomes available - because it increases the likelihood a family will receive an aid amount they are comfortable with.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is a form completed by current and prospective college students in the United States to determine their eligibility for student financial aid. The FAFSA is different than CSS Profile, which is also required by some colleges.
Student financial aid in the United States is funding that is available exclusively to students attending a post-secondary educational institution in the United States. This funding is used to assist in covering the many costs incurred in the pursuit of post-secondary education.

I went to school to get help they just have me the hotline for fafsa, fafsa would just end the call bc the lines were busy nothing was helping after two weeks of going back and forth this simple 30 min video saved me

They never asked for my parents tax information for 2022, they asked for mine, which makes 0 sense because I have no income or taxes.

Amazing review.... so frustrating FAFSA should change wording so you don't have to watch a video to fill out the form correctly. So many students invite both parents and it caused alot of issues

When completing the FAFSA application I didn't finish it and when I when back I couldn't double check the answers, so what do I do know, I haven't signed it or do my parents portion, I need help, please! Thank you in advance for all that you do for us! God Bless!
Great info. Idk if anyone else rand into this, but I went through the whole process and then when trying to go to signature and sumbit, it just kept looping back to the beginning.

Thank you so much! First time FAFSA parents. We have attended several zoom meetings and have researched info (how I found you.) You are the first person to emphasize that we must complete the student info first. That was our mistake. ugh! Now, do we delete the info and reenter?

This was very informative, thank you. I am preparing to fill out the 2025-2026 fafsa for my daughter. My income is not taxable so the only tax info I have is for my Etsy business, which doesn't make much. Is there an option for non taxed income? I am an in home care provider.
My account didn't ask me for most of these things. I don't get to choose marital status or if I was the parent or student. Also it says my social security already exists. I'm only like ten minutes into your video and I can't move forward. I'm screwed.

What does it mean when there’s a message that form is in review. I had an issue logging in and had to create a new account, which I did on January 24, 2024. Apparently there was an issue with this earlier in the month because I tried several times since my son completed his portion on 1/04/24. I’m so confused. Tia

How do i access the FASFA from my parents side if i have done their part on my account and or how do i add their signature? I have invited her but the invitation never pops up. is there a way to fix this ?
My daughter is a sophomore in Highschool taking cosmetology dual credits thru the local college. All the students have been told they must fill out a fafsfa. We are stuck at the college question on the fafsa. She just a sophomore in HS, so what do we mark for grade level? There isn't an option. Need some guidance on this.

I just viewed your video today; I had a problem with parental contributions; I invited both of my parents to fafsa, and it became really frustrating. My fafsa is not being processed, and I need help. My school's financial aid department is unhelpful, and when I call fafsa customer service, they are also helpless. My mother's SSN number did not match with her account verification, so I went to the SSN office today. Her SSN number may not have been validated, but it was correct. What I can do

I went from full time to part time work how do I update my financial situation
For me after I sign it never says fasfa form complete, it just says this section complete but everyone had already signed

Hi Ed. On the Student Asset Section (vid minute 22.05), If the Student has no business, accounts or asset of any kind, should she leave those boxes blank as you did or simply enter "0" ??

I only send one parent invite but when it comes to the completion of the form it’s asking for other parent information even though I didn’t invite them and they have a account with Fafsa, how do I fix this?
Hi Ed your video are clear and to the point. Quick question, the new fafsa does it need both parents to sign with two separate fafsa id's or only needs one parent signature

Thank you very much! I have an urgent question and need your help ASAP. My kid started an application but has not signed and submitted for now yet. Me as a parent received an email invitation and started filling in parents information before the kid sign and submit form. Me as a parent have not signed and submitted the FAFSA form either. Can my kid still sign and submit the form after the parent already started filling in parents' side info into the form? What will happen to the form submission? What should we do now? Ask my kid to re-send an invitation to parents? Please advise ASAP. Thanks!

What is the deal with the free or reduced lunch? My whole district gets free lunch this school year, we didn't have to summit an application. Should we check the box?
You can check the box if you receive free lunch through the free and reduced lunch application. This is the only option that will not bypass the parent assets page so it doesn’t matter in long run if you get free lunch or not.
Is it a must my parent have to fill?because I don’t have a parent I just filled it up and all was good waiting for update on it
I am a non citizen parent and a contributor on my child's FAFSA Form. I have received the invite and also have an FSA ID. Email id is verified but after i enter the code for phone verification and press continue.. We are getting an unknown error has occurred and choose another browser. We have tried everything but unable to go ahead. Your advice will be much appreciated. Anxiously waiting as we are approaching the deadline😞
