Just discovered this channel. Even though there were english sub titles, the whole experience between the both men seemed so polite and respectful which i presume is down to the Japanese culture. The video itself is so informative. I have been training on and off (due to ill health) for a number of years with a Bokken I am now looking into the legalities of importing an Iaido sword in to Ireland. The law here has criminalised the ownership of an actual Katana and before I place an order anywhere I want to find out the status of importation of a training sword. Also I have just subscribed

After watching your videos I'm now starting my training in Iaido, I had my first session last week and it looks like this may end up being the martial art that I want to train in.
Unfortunately due to the laws and complications of customs over here in the UK my Sensei's don't suggest importing from Japan as it's just as likely that someone who doesn't know the exemption laws around Katana will just scrap it before you can explain to them that you are legally allowed to own them.
The Dojo I'm joining uses Nine Circles for its Iaido equipment.
I'm really looking forward to when I'll be ready to move on from a Bokuto to an Iaito.

Excellent & very educational video on Iaido gear & Tozando shop. I just started my Iaido training two months ago & loving it! I’m a Big & Tall fella, I’m having a hard time finding a Gi, Hakama, & Obi belt that fits. I hope that Tozando shop could customize gear that fits so that could better fit in the Dojo. Thank you Shogo for your inspiration for Iaido! Randy

Wow, $260-400 for getting into a new discipline makes this very accessible. It's much harder to find a dojo where I live, I think.
I really like this shop. The gentleman at the counter was very helpful. Thanks for the video, Shogo!
