@@thebluestig2654 it wasn’t an act because that slap ended Will Smith reputation and career.
So much respect gained for Chris! EVEN MORE LOST FOR WILL!!!
I can’t believe Will Smith is out there promoting Bad Boys #3,457 all smiles like his shit don’t stink. I lost all respect for him after that incident.
The fact he was allowed to stay at the Academy Awards and then received a standing ovation without even acknowledging what he’d done still blows my mind. But we all know why that was allowed to happen: because the “Academy” didn’t want to be responsible for any action that may have taken place halting production and promotion of any movies if they had done the right thing.
The simple fact of the matter is that decision shouldn’t have anything to do with money - and certainly not race, it has everything to do with morals, integrity, acceptable behaviour and accountability.
Tbh, I felt like their action (or rather lack of it), was more reprehensible than will smith’s was. Disgusting.

You have a lot to learn about relationships. Even if relationship is broken, doesnt meen you need to stop to respect someone. LOL.
I think we can all agree. The person who is the most pathetic in the whole situation is Jada for being a 304 her entire lyfe

He is obviously salty about being slapped and never getting the chance to stand up for himself.
@@goodguysolid6398untrue, he’s taking shit on stage, in front of the world. It would be “behind will’s back”, if it wasn’t televised. This was very direct, and possibly the best way to not only monetize a moment, but air out your grievances at the same time. Hence: “handled it like a pro”. Anyone else would’ve stopped the Oscar’s, sued him, or pressed charges. And finally, will could’ve also slapped him off camera, instead of having a temper tantrum over a woman who didn’t even know who he referred too, when he slapped a man, over her, in front of MILLIONS.
@goodguysolid6398 He's not exactly talking behind Will's back if he's doing it on live television for Will and everyone else to see. A far as addressing this event, yeah. He's a comedian he's made his career off making fun of people, personal experiences, crisis events, and so forth. If anything it'd be questionable as to why host of a famous and reputable event didn't acknowledge his thoughts on being assaulted on national tv, lol.
I will never be ok with what Will did. And the fact he wasn’t arrested on the spot goes to show how delusional celebrity culture is…
Made him tear up when he mentioned about his parents.
Chris knew that two black men throwing hands on live television would have made them all look bad. He's got my eternal respect for handling it the way he did.

When I first saw Chris Rock on SNL, I was not sure about him but after a few episodes, I realized this guy is alright
Welp, you actually did smack him back on that one, very well played.
You can tell he's telling the truth, he's holding tears at the end of it... he said it best... "It still hurts"
This shit was racist as fuck, salon of full white losers applaud. Imagine white man saying same shit against black lives, I can’t imagine how they would react.
He’s acting
When he did the show "Everybody Hates Chris" he was actually reporting a fact!!!
@@lorenzovismara9385 Getting hit by someone you hate is one thing but getting hit by someone you considered a friend is not something you can easily brush off
@@blurryface5744 I don’t want to be rude, but:
1. Says “you’ll never see me cry”
2. Starts crying
3. Punchline with mic-drop and hand-move asking for a standing ovation
That seems poor acting to me
Dude not only rescued himself, but also rescued comedy and every comedian as a whole.
it was fake, a fallacy
How?
Julius and Rochelle taught him well
How though ?😂
Nah chapelle rescued comedy
That one line from Sam Cooke A Change is Gonna Come constantly plays in my head. "And I said to my brother help me please! But instead of saving me he knocked me to the floor." Something to that affect. Never forget what the great Martin Luther King wanted for us dark skin people. Stick together and never double cross one another. We are strong as one.
I'm white, and even I knew that "don't fight in front of white people," hit different.
Why not ? I dont get it.
Yup 🎉

I wish i had a friend like him in my life ... What a genuine person he is. Slap didnt hurt him but Will did.
Did you know this slap thingy is fake? They all made this up!! They recreated this based on a tv program that happened in 80s or something, I didn't know this until few months ago.

“Don’t fight in front of white people.” Fuck 😂😂 I lost it
The fact that he had a standing ovation after that statement speaks volumes
That was the end of the show. They weren't just standing and clapping because of the statement; the show had ended hence the mic drop.

@@davidryczywot3114 yes and no. Because when u do stand up u gotta bring the best jokes. And as usually sometimes they pik someone from the front of the crowd. If u don't wanna get roasted then they could sit in the back. It just come with the stand up comedy. Rock was not a bully. He was doing him been comedy.

@@davidryczywot3114 that is why I said yes and no ☝️☝️☝️ and it's not bullying it's comedy. If u can't take a joke just don't go. It's for people that can take a joke as a joke. If your weak and sensitive then it's not the place for you to be in. It's that simple
@@jayns1375 I'd prefer not to outright condemn/ condone Will's actions here, but I would say that he wasn't attending a standup comedy show, he was at the Oscars. Chris likewise played his part. Maybe, just maybe, the Oscars/ Golden Globes shouldn't have insult comics as hosts if A) they don't want them to do their schtick and B) their in-house audience (AKA Hollywood) is also known to take themselves too seriously. Nobody won here.
Also, the Oscars isn't exactly open seating.
