    Father Mike, when a younger Catholic my idiocy knew no bounds. Where I once might have picked up a bible and thumbed through it, I now read it with fervor. Don't get me wrong. I'm no intellectual, but I know Jesus better than ever. We all know, or should know, the famous quote from St. Jerome: "Whoever does not know Scripture does not know the power and wisdom of God, then ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ." Where I once ignored Holy Scripture, I now get irritated when people admit they don't read. What irritates me the most? When people think they're quoting Scripture but are only "guessing" what it says. God Bless you Father and your homilies. 👆

    Can the bread of eternal life be eaten daily? How can the 'eucharist' a physical substance become 'bread of the soul' and provide "eternal life" to those who eat it? Why did Jesus die on the cross? To distribute His body to some people or for the remission of the sins of the whole mankind? What is Jesus? Is he not the WORD, which was in "beggining", the Word which was with God, the WORD which is God (John, 1:1). What does John, 3:31-36? Does not it specifically define the True WORD as "words of Jesus Christ" ONLY. Is not Jesus the WORD that became flesh? What does, John, 6:69 confirms? Did not Peter clear all the confusion in his reply when he said that Jesus HAS the words of eternal life and therefore leaving Jesus is not in the agenda of the apostles. Therefore did not what Jesus required was to 'abide by His teachings and mandates to attain 'eternal life' and there is absolutely no reason for any mistaken notion as to what what Jesus meant in His exhortation to eat His body, physical or sacramental, which He did not provide to any, although, only a pinch of His flesh from His body (which was soon to be mutilated and sacrificed) and just a small drop of His blood to fully satiate the hu ger and thirst of the twelve apostles only were present at the Last supper, where even His mother was conspicuously absent, leave alone His other disciples and close followers? Is Jesus is a a knave, fraud and a liar to deny eternal life at least to His mother. Obviously, the agenda of the last supper was not to supply eternal life, but the sole agenda was to formally institute the Apostolic Church/Christianity, the ONLY true extension Jesus' Life on the earth. The eucharist is the most nefarious deception of Satan on mankind, the after the first one in the Eden Garden. It is the same fruit, the forbidden fruit, the same old wine in a new bottle. Both fruits promise to make man equal to even greater than God.
    In the context, one has to rightly understand what is Roman Catholic Church (RCC), the predecessor of the "Holy" Roman Catholic AND 'APOSTOLIC Church. A detailed exposure is not possible here. It is suffice to make a brief reference to the Parable of the Good Shepherd v/s the 'thief and robber' (John, Ch.10) AND the Parable of the Weeds (Mt. 13:24-30&36-43) - the Necessary Evil which should last till the Day of the Final Harvest" AND the "Evil Tree", which sprout from the evil seed sown by the nocturnal sower/Satan, the enemy of Jesus, which is incapable of producing any good fruit, but all its fruits are evil, more specifically, the vitious sacramental fruits, among which the most venomous, hienous and bizzare is the Priesthood, making way for pagan/liturgical worship and adoration (John, 4;7+24). The priests are creations of the Canon Law, and Ordained in the ORDER OF Canon Law, the governing law of Catholicism, a Roman Pagan religion. In effect, RCC is per se Evil and is BY, OF and FOR Satan !
    Finally, who tries to make others "idiots" and who are real idiots?

    I have a Catholic New Testament bible, because I don’t like the Old Testament, it just seems like they were all so evil, I find it boring, I like reading about Jesus Christ and His life on earth. In my defence I am Seventy eight, and have a learning disability

    • @dylanfluet8205
      @dylanfluet8205 Před měsícem +2

      Jesus only had the Old Testament.
      I wouldn’t look at it like they were evil, but would look at it as they kept falling and God punished them because of His justice, but the covenant didn’t leave them because of His mercy.

    • @TheBandoury
      @TheBandoury Před 23 dny

      To understand the New Testament and Jesus’s sacrifice we need to know the old testament’s, 1- what was the sacrifice God required before Jesus, and now. 2- what led to have Jesus come in flesh and be sacrificed. 3- understand God’s love, mercy, wisdom and patience and faithfulness with his people despite their stiff necks… the psalms are prayers that are very important and powerful when petitioning God for help.

      Oh please. Don’t be like a weak liberal. This country is getting worse by the day. The hate and mockery towards Christ is even worse than it was prior to the flood and you are worried or triggered over a word. Will that word even matter when all hell breaks loose and we have lost the Catholic faith by these blasphemers that want to take it down. Give me a break. We need more priests like this that are direct and to the point and don’t hold back.
