Basculegion rain is a great two piece "glue" for a team that has objectively sub par Pokémon like this. Oh my strat didn't work? Well, late game fish will fix that.
for does wondering most pokemon with wings have an animation flying and one standing and you can make the pokemon fly/stand even if it's not there standard animation the way you can trigger this is by leading a flying pokemon, like moxies torn, and then switching out/dying and then bring the pokemon with wings you want to see flying, this also works if you want the pokemon to stand instead of fly like charizard but you gotta do the steps the other way around, lead a grounded pokemon and switch it out/die and then bring out the pokemon you want to make stand in that same slot
We need more archery theme Pokémon, so triple arrows and spirit shackles can be disturbed out

Or we can just get a redistribution for Decidueye… both of them.

Better ability would also be nice. Scrappy isnt very good when its competing in grass types with Rillaboom. Give it wind rider, or some sharpness variant that works with arrow moves.

The hisuan variants are so cool and it's a great way to revive old Pokemon like the arcenine
With scrappy, decidueye can counter incineroar
And tera fire or water to resist its fire moves
Incineroar is almost definitely gonna run Tera Fairy.
@@Endershock1678 the ability Scrappy ignores Intimidate. The comment underneath is saying Decidueye can run T-Fire. Incin as a T-Fairy type would be hit by Leaf Blade harder. This match up wouldn't be the only determination of whether Incin should be Fairy or another type like Ground.
@@CigaretteCrayon Incineroar is gonna either run Tera Fairy or Tera Grass, Tera Ground is absolutely awful right now because of Rillaboom, Chien Pao, and Urshifu, but there's no way Decidueye is gonna be what Incineroar is thinking about when Pokemon like Annahilape and Kingabit are right there.
@Endershock1678 I don't think Decidueye is even a full counter under any of these conditions, but your observations are correct. There are specific other threats against the Ground type's defenses.

I love H-Decidueye, but man I wish it didn’t have so much going against it. To balanced/awkward stats, terrible defensive type, Fighting type competition, and a Fairy type that dominates the meta…
Not just Fighting type competition, Rillaboom and Amoonguss are two pretty high priority picks for Grass competition

Used to use hisuian decidueye in early reg d as an ursh counter. With life orb it easily one shot both forms
I love the hisuian starters. Samurott is my personal favorite
Its kinda a shame that they didn't use the arceus animation for hisuan deciueye , i always imagined him being more heavy , and being able to use his wings only yo help him jump further

Also while it's true that it's heavier than Alolan Decidueye, it's by less than a pound lol
I think scrappy decidueye could theoretically function as a goldengho counter cause it’s faster and close combat is a one shot I believe, wish it matched up better to the rest of the meta though cause there is no reason to use it over ogrepon
Its not faster, its much slower in fact. It has base 60 speed. We see Rillaboom outspeed it like game 2

Funny that this came out, considering I've been working on a H-Decidueye strat for a minute now. Very different, but it still takes advantage of Scrappy and Triple Arrows.

Tera dragon ghold is a good defensive tera into all ogerpon forms, heatran, and flutter since it wont moonblast turn 1

@@EmeraldEleki7 No you have to transfer the move by mirror herb when you're camping with a Houndstone. Make sure your Basculin or Basculegion has an empty move slot so it can learn it
Yeah Mirror Herb works regardless of egg group, if you have the Herb on, an empty move slot on Basculegion and do a picnic you're good.
@@EmeraldEleki7 Not the traditional method of getting an egg move. Have the Basculegion hold a mirror herb and have a picnic with a Last Respects Houndstone. From Bulbapedia:
"In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, if the player has a picnic with one Pokémon that holds a Mirror Herb and has an empty move slot, and another Pokémon that knows a move the first Pokémon can learn as an Egg Move, after the picnic the first Pokémon will learn that Egg Move, even if there is no matching Egg Group. This does not consume the Mirror Herb. "
