kuya kurt i strongly suggest magpayong pa din po kayo dahil iba talaga yung init ng araw ngayon. yung skin cancer kasi. constant exposure to violent Ultraviolet rays , being always sunburnt may lead to (melanoma)skin cancer in the future. take care kuya kurt :)
Everybody here is so technical and critical about your tagalog. It sounds amazing for a foreigner as it can pass because you obviously can be social. I speak a different dialect called Ilocano. Why not compliment Kurt on what he does know. The accent is there for sure so great job man !!! 👍 But then again to be corrected would make it perfection right?
Ahahaha napagkamalan ka po Kuya na may asawang Pinay! 🤣🤣🤣 That’s a common conception when foreigners try to learn or learned Tagalog. Pasencya na po ah… Grabe ka kuya sobra ka galante ah… Buti pa si Nanay honest. Kudos kay Nanay! 👏
Mabuhay from Mississauga, Ontario (suburb of Toronto). I was just in Manila and Coron for business the last two weeks of April. And dang was it hot and humid. The heat wave encompassing much of South East Asia was something. BTW - Ang galing ang Tagalog mo.
What’s up Kurt, I just noticed that keep saying to people that “I want to practice my Tagalog” with the locals. I know that you do and you adore our language, mahal mo talaga ito. Pero, I highly suggest na mag enroll ka ng Filipino class diyan sa Manila in order for you to be fluent and comfortable in speaking in Tagalog. Ito ay garantisado na mahahasa ka sa wikang Pinoy. Anyway, the locals would not really correct you kasi they’re being polite at mabait sa iyo simply because ikaw ay isang foreigner. Taking a class would sharpen and improve your “language” skills. Pareng Kurt- this is payo lamang kasi gusto mong i-take your Tagalog mo to a higher lever. Ingat at magandang gabi!! 👍👍🙌😊
You can say “Tuwalya sa mukha”(facetowel) but usually we just simply say facetowel coz sometimes words in Filipino is longer that’s why we just say it in English for shortcut..
Face Towel is Dimpo or Bimpo. It's usually the square one though because technically, Bimpos are for washing when taking a bath. If you want to be more specific, the one you needed was a "Good Morning" towel. It's white, absorbent, and longer than a bimbo.
My lola calls Face Towel as lavacara (labakara in Tagalog) which is still a borrowed word from the Spaniards. Face towel is tuwalya(towel) sa mukha(face) but technically, tuwalya is still a borrowed word from the Spaniards - tuwalla. *smh *face towel - tuwalya sa mukha *hand towel - tuwalya sa kamay *towel - tuwalya sa katawan
tuwalya is a spanish loan word because in Spanish trowel is toalla there is no pure tagalog word for towel as far as I know although I think there is, pamunas can't be it because it is rug used for wiping
@MrRonnel2323 ituloy ang paggamit ng salitang labacara. In Spanish it means face wash. Wag baguhin o Bali baligtarin ang mga salita. Gaya ng Mayor, naging yorme. Idol, lodi, at iba pa. Salitang Kanto ang mga ganun.
Try Nonong’s carinderia or eatery in 3rd Street Villamor Air Base, Pasay City. Not far from NAIA Terminal 3 airport. I recommend you try their crispy delicious fried chicken. New follower here originally from Jersey City NJ.
95F is about 35C.. thats rookie numbers. will be about 105-110F here in Texas in a couple months. You're in concrete jungle Manila so heat index and humidity sux. Go down to the south where theres plenty of trees so it feels cooler. Time to learn ilonggo or bisaya na bai. heh
Dude 25 C is 77 F aka “Room Temperature.” It never gets that cool at noon in the Philippines. Body temp is 37 C so if you’re sweatin’ it it’s at least 35 C. With the heat advisories it’s probably 39-42 C outside. Better walk in the shade.
My mom used to call my younger brother’s towel on his back “panlagay” like “putter” or “for putting.” Idk if that’s an actual word or if that’s just what my family called it.
heard the guard said (asked) "yung?", when you said "balat" in a different intonation, referring to a "birthmark". if you say it fast, then that refers to "skin". your tagalog is amazing though.
@@tagalogkurt perhaps thinking white people have lighter birthmarks and you want it tanned as well haha. oh... when you hear someone tells another person "may balat (birthmark) ka ata sa puwet or pwet" (you might have a birthmark in your ass), like an idiom, that person is saying to the other that he is beyond unlucky, or it also refers to someone who brings bad luck, a jinx. i dont know the origin, but it is a phrase filipinos use on someone who experience extreme unluckiness. meant for laughs or tease or making fun of someone in lighter (not to offend) sense or mood. unsolicited, but hey... you're learning tagalog. 😉🙃
Maganda ang pagtrato sa Kapwa Tao. Treating someone nice like yourself as another human being..😊 Nice job Kuya Kurt!

They are ruggedly individualistic because One race of people there deem everyone as inferior,Hence they don't want to interact with them
