Definitely important to keep his story private since he in a vulnerable stage in his life. Not easy to process what he is dealing with. As adoptee from different country too. We go through up and down in being adopted. I hope he gets better soon too.

You guys are so fortunate to have resources. We adopted our daughter from Korea almost 40 years ago. Things were so different back then. She was loved by everyone we thought. But years later she told us how alone she felt. We definitely did not see it. She excelled in everything and made friends very easy. She is a doctor in Oregon. We love her and her two children so much. Just wish we did things a little different. That being said we did the best we could with the resources we had.

Praying for Liam. Having gone through something similar with my own son, get a blood panel done and an mri of the brain. The drs were blindly trying one medicine after another, coping skills, therapy, etc. now with actual medical tests, we got answers and we have our son back.

I’m an adult adopted child and I also have three other siblings who are adopted as well. each child’s journey is different as we all have different stories and different starting places. I am so happy Liam is getting the help he needs and you are respecting his privacy while he does so. I also want to make sure you give yourselves grace as parenting at times can be hard and just being present and supportive makes a world of difference even if it does not feel like it now. Will keep Liam and your family in my prayers as I can imagine this is also especially painful for Jude too.
