I am fixing the wiper system on my Mercedes W140. I found lots of problems.. There will be one more video related to a wiper system repair because my intermittent wiper function isn't working. I will be taking apart the wiper relay too! Stay tuned.
We MUST SAVE CLASSIC CARS. Because soon we won't have any left.. And they don't make them like they used to!!!

Yes, I had issues with this relay for 2 years. Sometimes wipers were not responding to switch. Needed to smack the relay and it started to work. But that was not normal. Took it apart and found out, that one wire had unsoldered. But even after re-soldering it, it glitched. Installed used replacement - no issues.

The gear that’s stripped you can now order made of brass it’s much much stronger. This is a very complex super system on these cars. Works great when working properly. But it’s not a mechanism that can go without some service and lubrications every 5 years or so. Otherwise gears strip and stuff starts to malfunction.

When you are gonna remove the engine of your 190e, will you also send the car to a paint shop for a paint refresh in your engine bay?
I am not gonna paint the engine bay on my 190E. The paint in the engine bay is good. I will just do a good wash/detail in there. But I’m planning to do the engine seals, chains and gaskets
What kind of engine do you have on it?what model is it? S320? S400? V6,V8, or V12?

@@VITOSGARAGE I purchase one 2 years ago from eBay. Seller was from Ukraine as I remember. It is made of bronze.
@@Uc9uE3pKsS6uQ that’s pretty awesome. However, the metal gear will wear the plastic half moon gear in the wiper assembly pretty fast. You either have to have plastic and plastic, or metal and metal. So if you find a metal half moon gear, install that too!🙂
