4 years on the road for work. Best thing learned if I am driving instead of flying. Do not use suitcases. Use containers .You will be able to carry much more.
I’ve never wanted to own anything except for a car. I’ve always loved hotels.
Why is that if I might respectfully inquire?..curious.
@@rootlady5934 Maid service. I don’t have to do any cleaning or cooking. Living a luxurious life without being wealthy, haha.
More freedom, flexibility and overall simple lifestyle
I feel that way, too, especially as I approach retirement age.
I just recently stayed in Extended Stay Hotel. I loved it nice and clean . The kitchen area has everything I need a full size refrigerator stove sink . It's amazing .The bedroom area is a Queen size . ❤❤❤
Fast becoming the New Normal,

IS TOO DAMN HIGH.
Great need to know advice,
thank you so much.🙂
I'm a senior citizen and don't want to leave a lot for my children to deal with when I pass away. I love long hotel stays. Finding a place that's pet friendly and has nice amenities is all I need. No home maintenance, no property taxes, no yard work - these are worth paying for a hotel.
Thank you for this great video!!
Thank you. My husband and I will be starting this journey next month and I needed this to be sure we stay on track and not overspend.
FYI...most extended stays let customers use the address hotel..to cut down on clutter you can find a self storage to keep your extra belongings...as far as the room that you are "borrowing"..if you are in a small room..investing in a shelf to fit behind the bathroom toilet helps a lot,the small plastic drawer shelves are good for clothing..at WalMart..they run about 30 bucks...and the key for this type of room is STACKING..shelves&drawers are VERY helpful and can also be used for tables..with the economy being so screw

up..MASSES of people are living in those type of hotels and some temporarily while seeking permanent homes, apartments, land etc...hope this little tidbit helps as well..thanks for the vid ❣️
I didn't think about adding plastic storage, thank you!
I've been dreading this but reading what everybody else has said, is starting to make sense.
This was much more helpful than I expected. Thank you!
I once met a woman who lived out of her suitcase in a motel. Her life was so simple. No car. She used public transportation.
Thank you so much!! Super informative video and you have a great voice!! You should do commercials!! :-)
I know others have said this, but your advice was very helpful! At least now I know some things to plan in advance. My husband asked me today, "what will I eat?" Not yet knowing if we will have a fridge, I at least now know some things to get. I also now know to plan how to make the room appear to be more home-y and welcoming, and ask lots of questions, like can I use the lobby's microwave!
Thank you for doing this.
This video is very helpful thanks for the awesome tips. Cuz we're considering downsizing ourselves
I can’t seem to find extended stay hotels that are NICE as those shown in this video ! Most look like dumps …
Same !
you have to check them out.. all of them. I have stayed in several all over the Eastern and Midwest USA. The roomiest one was just outside of Omaha Nebraska. The cleanest was in Colombus, West Virginia. None were as swanky as the one shown briefly in this video.
Thanks I'm 22 still living with my parents hopefully this help with the new job
Or stay with your parents and save as much money as you can.. Build credit and buy a house.
Very informative!
Great Tips. Thanks I get to try them out next month :)
haha I've been doing it for 3 years now 🤗

I currently stay in Michigan and I didn't want to be homeless or on the street, so I stay in a hotel. I been doing it for 7 years. My parents don't understand why I would stay in a hotel and not an apartment.
I pay $1600 a month , apartment would be $2000-2500, and that's not including lights and water.
Every year I get my taxes back I said I would get an apartment, but because I don't have history, I can't. Other people that would rent me a place wants $1900.
I'm going to school so I can make more money and get an apartment. I plan on moving to Orlando in June!
thank you so much for this
FYI can’t get a post office box without a lease or mortgage. You’ll have to pay for one through a different mailing company.
I just got a PO Box without either. All you need is a driver's license & the fee.
I just used my previous address to worked fine
Thank you❤❤❤❤❤
interesting, thx
Great tips😊Do you have options for secured internet access?
@ 3:25 what is the name of the form they filled out in order to save all this money ?
Hey, can I post a link to your video on my web site, looks like info that my client base can use
Can you live at one for years?
I took pictures of everything I took then when we packed up I deleted the picture
What about Airbnb's, service apartments and villas? Do they have the same concept?
Sorry, I just found out your other videos answering this. 😁😁😁 Thank you sooooo much!
I just need to find one and one person
Tried this. Kept being "gassed". Turned out, some group of nomads(very tribal) was living there. If you checked in, they'ed gas the hell outta ya till you checked out and moved. Maybe I just had a bad experience, but, never tried again. Now, with rent so high, I'm reconsidering.... IMHO....
gassed???
@@anniesshenanigans3815 yep. Pesticide mixed with "other" chemicals to create nerve gas. I asked around and was told the "bad guys" get this stuff from drug dealers. Horrible experience in several "we extended stay" hotels.
