I searched for information on crimping these connectors when I needed to build extensions for a large biplane I was building. The cost of the crimpers, a roll of wire and a connector kit made it cost effective. Now I spent 20 years working on electric jets, even had similar connectors except larger but try as I might, I could not get them to crimp properly. The I picked up a Goosky RS4 and found your channel and this video. I thought no way so I pulled out the box of stuff and tried it. SOB! That little pull step was all I was missing. When I pulled on the pin and it stopped, inserted the wire and crimped. I couldn’t believe it. I’ll pass on my own tip, the Irwin Vice grip strippers will strip all three wires perfectly at the same time. After you strip them, a small cut between the wires with an Xacto knife and you can pull the wires apart.

So once I figured that out it was easy! I also learned always start with the ground for direction and they are right every time! It is so nice to be able to make your own extensions whatever length you want to shorten wires and what not. Not be stuck to a preset length and have too much wire or not enough wire. And you can also make whatever you want as far as white harnesses quad harnesses. It’s such a great set of tools and knowledge to have .
