    I think the whip stitch may be my favorite stitch to sew so far. I am amazed by how strong the seam is even when using very fine thread. I also love how flat this seam lays. Thank you for another great tutorial!

    Your piecing is perfect. Before seaming two pieces of fabric, each piece needs to be folded and secured with running stitches?

      If you are seaming too cut edges that will be covered with a lining or won’t fray -yes you will fold them back and use a long running stitch to baste them back while you whipstitch the seam. But then take the basting out. If your cut edges won’t be lined or will fray- hem the edges first by turning them up twice so the raw edge disappears and hem them. Then whip stitch your two edges together.
