One of my top 5 songs of all time. Everything about it. Guitar, Bass, vocals, drums. Just an epic piece if music. Kim and Pete still brilliant 35+ years later.
Favourite tune by my favourite artist..... would listen to this tune after cruising in "Lumpy the '69 Firechickn" on warm summer Friday/Saturday nights. Parking him in the garage.sitting and drinking stubbies listening to Kimmer and other serious 80's hits............
Beautiful. Painfully, utterly beautiful. I wish everyone could feel those feels in everything they do that really matters. Excuse me... I have something in my eye. BRB.
Everything is spot on here, from the slightly tweaked arrangement to the subtle synthesizer parts in the verse. One of the better versions I've heard, probably the best live version. One of the greatest songs ever written. "Nautical Disaster" may be the only other song that grabs the emotional magic like this. Thanks Canada.
The sound of warm summer nights in Southern Ontario! Kim Mitchell IS Canadian music at it's zenith, with a big nod to the Tragically Hip, Rush, Triumph, and The Guess Who! Memories that will never fade away! The music of my youth and a pretty nice place to lose yourself when the shit of the world gets a bit heavy to take. Like a warm hug.
@@FMHammyJ I agree, every bit as good.. He was pushing a lot of air to hit his parts. His pitch is dead-on, as usual. FOH left his mic too hot going into second chorus, because Peter was doing softer "Oooo's" just before then.. Just my observation.
Sammy Hagar has nothing on Pete. Pete still does everything in the same key they did 30 years ago. Not many his age don't tune down a half or even whole step. Pete's a legend
They nailed it! They nailed yesterday with today and their music, this song, this feeling, transcends through time as easy as light passes through space. We live in amazing times.
Peter Fredette can still belt out those high notes.
So impressive!
Peter F is a rock treasure that didn't rise to where he should have. Amazing vocalist.

These guys are very talented!
Outstading.....
Wow, Peter still belting it out like 34 years later. Good on ya man.
This is one of a few songs that can make me cry.....Kim and Peter Fredette still have it.....
By far IMO his best song by a mile! edit: Peter killed it here. wow
ALWAYS said this is his STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN! This song is MONSTROUSLY INCREDIBLE!
It makes love to your ears!!!
Fredette is astonishing. Talented, good looking, humble. THIS is why you go to a Kim Mitchell concert.
Kim is a Canadian icon one of the best guitar players
Legendary! Ever hear his interview with Paul Gilbert on Q, incredible mutual respect.
Now, that folks is a tremendous guitar solo.
This will always be my favourite rock ballad...Peter Fredette's vocals are so AWESOME!!

Whew! That was a blow-me-away moment! Well done lads!
Love Peter Fredette. He's always made this song what it is. And here, he strains a bit, but he's channelling Sammy Hagar, so it's all good.
Hell I thought his vocals were every bit as good as every other live performance Ive seen....May every rock musicians voice hold up so well.......
@@FMHammyJ the mic sounds a bit hot ,that's what i think it is. he needs to move back more.

For emotion and talent, this is at Floyd level.

Old Farts! (like me) I saw you guys when you were young. LOL Keep shining.
He is a guitar god...
I don't know which is better, Peter's chorus or Kim's solo.
Kim is left handed but plays right :)
Come on, seriously. It sounds nothing like it did when they first sang it !!!! Old age fucking sucks!!!!!!!
