you gotta admit mojang did a great job, they made iron more common in mountains and at level 0 where most caves are, they took the most used ore and placed it where they wanted you to go to experience caves & cliffs update
I think totems should consume half a heart of your max life so you can continue living that way there's a genuine trade in being able to survive death on hardcore

Okay, the doors you heard being broken underground was a stronghold nearby! I had a survival world and I heard the same thing deep underground once, I dug towards it and sure enough there was stone bricks!
Also I feel like they should have an old village well-esc structure that generates on the surface that leads down to that strange and unused trial chambers entrance.

If you didn’t this time, next time you should turn on villager trade rebalancing. I have for mine. Got lucky and found a swamp not far from spawn. Already have a nether portal. Just need blaze rods. My favorite thing to do is trap villager zombies. Very excited to get that going and a mending villager.

It seems that toycat has become a therapist because I’ve seen people trying to talk to him about depression, breakups, and now suicide.
Not sure how to feel about this.
Ideally, everyone would have 2-3 safe people in our lives we could talk to about whatever was going on in our heads without being judged and rejected (this is the one life situation ACTUALLY well-correlated with happiness, BTW). In practice, MANY people, especially young people, have no IRL safe people. Toycat’s community is probably a better place for these people to turn than most other places on the internet. Toycat has at times been open about his own struggles, which likely has encouraged the development of a relatively supportive community. Sure would be nice if it weren’t so widely needed, though. 😕

I'm not very excited to play hardcore mode after dying twice to a random death glitch in less than 2 hours
They will fix those before the final release
I never got a death glitch, but i always make a copy of the world if that happens.
We need a day to check stats for each world now as well as days passed and everything

Really soon, probably. This is the first 1.21 beta, which means 1.20.80 is almost done. I expect it to be out in 2-3 weeks.

@@moltenfish0000not entirely true. There's a separate download on console called Minecraft Preview. You won't get achievements but you can try out hardcore

Without parity to saturation and combat, hardcore just seems pointless on bedrock
Combat’s easier but recovery is harder. Seems pretty balanced out.
@RePorpoised in my opinion spam click is the only advantage bedrock has. Java has sweeping edge, better saturation, can hold up shields without crouching, and can hold practically anything in their offhand and use them (whereas bedrock u only have shield, Arrows, totem, and rockets, you can't use rockets in the offhand (at least for me, I play on xbox)
Saturation makes Java way too easy imo. That's why hardcore worlds became a trend only after 1.9 in Java.
@@CeceliaMcCreary-vw8eu the shield crouching has no bearing on difficulty, just habit. Fundamentally it's the same, you slow down, but get protection, it's just mapped to a different button.
Spam click on bedrock is a very strong element in its favor. And its AI is often a lot dumber, so that's another point it has on lower difficulty on its side. How often do you get kamikaze creepers on bedrock?
Nowhere near as often as on java.
The offhand is maybe not the as strong of an argument for combat difficulty, as most of the essential items to combat can fit on the bedrock offhand so is it really? Blocks aren't on the offhand, and they provide an advantage so i guess so, but it's less of an argument than you'd think.
(and yes you can use the rockets in the offhand, it pretty much will only prioritize rockets if in the offhand.)
So, overall, still pretty even, i'd say.
