The subtitles honestly helped a lot.
The scouse is like a language on its own😂
itst really not that hard
@@jorgeclarkson4639 For you I guest. But for me a mere mortal it really is!
@@jorgeclarkson4639for a non native English speaker, Scouse (as well as Mancunian & Geordie) are a bit tough to understand. I prefer RP, the BBC or what I call "Harry Potter" English.
It’s so hard for anyone not from liverpool, but as a scouser myself I absolutely love it ❤️
@@boobacly9103for us mere mortals
What a player and he's definitely improving!!!
Well for me personally he has much more to do,he needs to be more creative or be more defensive he needs to choose one,he was great with the u23,u21 he was scoring goals for fun,in the 1st team last season during the last 10 games he started scoring many goals for a midfielder, and the start of this season he was playing well but no goals and assists for him and he was playing in a position where he should, same for elliot he needs to score goals and provide assists, they have the ability but they cant do it.
@@nxzcxcx5293 he’s hardly played this season. We’ve been changing up the midfield a lot. I do t think there’s anything wrong with his trajectory or position at all tbh.
@@nxzcxcx5293 I actually agree with u but I feel like Jones this season has been do good at keeping the ball for us but I also agree that he needs to get more goals and assists but at the rate he's improving at that'll come soon
@@fun-footballz yeah, he's improving but not at Liverpool standard yet. He need to be more creative and brave enough to make a forward passes. Not just sidepasses and backpasses. It's seem like he's becoming a young version of Hendo. He train and played with the likes of Thiago, Szoboszlai, Macca and he should learn from those.
@@headhunter7342 yh completely agree and eventually in maybe 2 or 3 years he could become world class
I'm convinced that Scouse is a dialect of English + Arabic 😂
Haha, scouse is what happens when you mix Irish, Welsh & Scandinavian accents all together. I can see what you're saying though.
@@3rodox haha. Yes I know the history. And how Skaus is a stew dish that the Scandinavians brought to Liverpool
That's why Stevie moved to Saudi Arabia
Haha yeah with how they pronounce the R
As someone who can speak a decent amount of Arabic (I'm not Arab so not a lot, just learned on the side), I sort of see it lol
Curtis has a very mature game for his age. You can say that he’s very talented but he’s adapted to the way he played in the youth set up. Very good at keeping the ball and always grafts. Nothing more you could ask for a Liverpool midfielder.
For his age? Szobozlai says HI.
@@adeniranmercy9296szoboslai should have scored more goals,he hasnt been profilic in front of goals to be honest, and same for the assists 🙄 he is doing it properly with hungary...elliot and curtis can score goals too but they aint doing it 😑
@@adeniranmercy9296scobozlai hasn't done much to prove himself..yes he has the energy and the skill but he should be creating and scoring more because he's an attacking midfielder..he is not even in the top five assists midlefielders in the league..and he is supposed to be our best assisting midfielder he should do a lot more..
@@malvinmwangi1850give him a chance tho he will ball out it’s clear 2 see you can’t expect him to score and assist 10 like haaland when he joins prem for the first time
@@malvinmwangi1850he’s not a striker, & haaland is a one off and an alien, Sboz will ball out and I’m not even a Liverpool fan
Curtis's tactical awareness is something most fans don't recognise. Two seasons ago 3-3 Brentford away Liverpool were winning 1-3 and he was filling all the defensive spaces. As soon as he was taken off Brentford came back. He even scored that day. That's when I knew he was on another level but injuries just keep derailing his progress. Last season's 10 game span just made me angry that fans had just clicked on.
The guy doesn’t often lose the ball: which means that he doesn’t allow counter attacks to happen. Bc he’s usually keeping the flow of the game going. And he also covers ground and tracks runners. It’s not the prettiest on the eye but he does a very very stellar job in the Liverpool midfield.
I think he starts in Liverpool’s current best 11 over Gravenberch.
Weird how it was 2-2 before Jones scored in the 67th(was immediately taken off for Bobby) and Brentford equalized again in the 82nd. So, not sure how Brentford came back as soon as Jones went off. Either way, he's an underrated workhorse in our midfield with tactical awareness as you rightly said.
Seriously. Jones can be a special special player. Even last week against Arsenal, his movement was out of this world. He was the only one who was moving well and keeping the flow. I don't think he misplaced a single pass in the sixty minutes that he played in that game. It was a performance where you stand up and take notice. People who only see the highlights or goalmouth action will never understand the value of players like Jones, but he's an absolute monster.
@@guywhocantgrowabeard he plays the role like Wijnaldum.
I hate when people think dribbling from midfield is a good thing. In a Klopp Liverpool midfield, you need to play simple passes, work hard, press and track your runners. That’s it. We have creativity in our front line and our full backs. That’s why Elliott and Gravenberch look out of place when they start. Because they always try to force chances rather than play the simple pass.
The simple pass gets overlooked by the younger generation. When you try to play the final ball every time, the opposition can see it coming from a mile away. Whereas the easy pass is a disguise for dragging the opposition out of position and getting closer to goal.
If things aren’t going well. I don’t mind bringing on a Elliott or Gravenberch to switch up the tempo or try something out. But when you need to keep a rhythm and you need to keep the ball moving then a Curtis is perfect to start, in this Klopp midfield.
Kind of, though he dribbles the most out of our midfield, more so than Gini, less than Nabi. Very good balance for a midfielder to have.
There is no reason why we shouldn't look to improve to be the best and win more trophies.
If you don't have dribbling ability or creativity in the midfield then you risk being one dimensional also. Klopp has recognised this and bought attack minded midfielders and is choosing to use Alexis's high risk passing in the holding role ahead of defensive assurance provided by Endo.
We struggle to break down teams that sit back. Even where opposition teams are more open, there is as much emphasis on making correct passes which is the one area where Jones imo hasn't proven himself yet. Macallister is the one here.
If you keep leaving the most consistently creative midfielder in Elliott on the bench, eventually he's not going to be able to get that winner from coming off the bench.
It's all about balance, and that's what all players have to learn. Till then, Klopp just has to manage the balance in the team and try and get the team to tick.
It's going to be really interesting to see how we do over the next few games without Salah, Endo and Tsobozlai. We know Jones will be play and be key. But will our team get the required goals without Salah!
it's the accent for me.😭😭💀
Accent? What accent? 😅
That's scouse mate
When u support liverpool since 2018 you'll understand it

Credit to him, he's been an absolute monster over the last month, maybe since the last 10-12 games of last season. He's been an absolute beast, and I'm loving it.
I love this guy. Whether losing or winning he’s the perfect embodiment of the fighting spirit.
Stevie gave him the accent as well.
“I don’t want to say what he said” then proceeds to tell us what Gerrard said. 😂
Grass
told the clean version you mean
Erm it wasn't what he said at all.
I think he means he isn't going to directly quote Gerrard, he probably mentioned names and players and a few choice words.
Lad he's from lewerpewl and he's a scousa lad eh
He is the biggest surprise for me this season. I never expected him to do as well as he is doing now. I think klopp made a huge impact as well. Really hope he can continue like this for a very very long time.
Did u miss 10 games last season 😅
Same here fella, hes come a long way
He’s doing amazing 🙏 honestly so glad he plays for us
Curtis doesn't look like he sounds 😅
He sounds exactly like Jamie Carragher
i can understand robbo just find..but this is just...thanks for subtitle 😂
His Scouse is clear tbh. And his mindset too
Both Trent and Curtis are Scousers but why Curtis accent sounds harder to understand than Trent
Probably because Trent is friend with everyone especially with foreign players so he adjust his accent for the foreign players to understand him? 🤔😅
Every part of Liverpool sounds different.
curtis is from tocky and trent is from west derby
Scouse changes every couple of streets bro lol
Honestly you go like 10 minutes in one direction and the accent is different. If that.
I came across this video at the perfect time. I'm not a football player, but this is the situation I have found myself in my new job. My colleagues have exceptional talent and I need to step it up. Its very motivating.
Hes becoming a really really good player, hes really growing
last nights game (newcastle) shown that he levelled up Big time.
He's improving a lot, I've seen a lot of young players look like superstars burst into the scene but fall flat when they moved to the first team. Jones never struck me as world class from the jump, talented for sure but I never thought he would stick around in the first team but he's kept his head down and proved me wrong. Been one of our key players this season.
I recall Curtis, just a few years ago, talking about himself as ‘Curtis Jones’. Ie ‘People have yet to see what Curtis Jones can do’. Humility wasn’t on the table. It sounded a bit too egocentric. But he was still very young and hadn’t learned some good lessons. If Steven Gerrard got him to change for the better it would be on that side of things . . . on dropping the ‘attitude’. As a result, we now see the real team player emerging and it’s refreshing. The talent is in there, the work rate is in there, and now the camaraderie and ‘all for one’ ambition is in there. Well done Curtis! I really hope that you and Trent form a fantastic Scouse Liverpool FC midfield axis over the years 👍
I tought he speaks german 😂
He is definitely stepping up...with his versatile talents and newfound steady reliability it wouldn't surprise me to find him + Trent as midfield mainstays in the next decade... 2 local lads - not many other top English or European teams can make that claim 💪Walk on Curtis!👏🤟
Love your work 100 ❤Always strive for the next step in all u do ! Life , is based on integrity in all forms ❤
His attitude and play has improved massively. but one thing I'll say is that in this respect the true role model is Harvey Eliot. his passion, desire, will to learn is exceptional
I love Scouse, feels like a music to me❤
I love the scouse accent, I think it’s my fav English accent
Sounds like someone with a sinus problem whining.
He's shining atm, bravo lad

He has beeen a different type of player the last month.... Idk what clicked but he is at his best right now
Got the whole team in 🎵🎶 on like one to one i remember when I came in music 🎵🎶
I went to 6th form with Curtis and back then it was clear he had so much talent but he did have an arrogance to him, so great to see him mature as a lad and as a player to reach the heights he’s at now and even then he’s still got so much potential to grow into
Nah the scousing was killing me😂
I love this guy
Had a shocker last night
It’s this kind of mentality that will see a player improve
"he was leich, looch" gotta love Scouse, man!
The amount of stick Jones gets is crazy. He is a fantastic squad player who has shown he can cut it with the best on many occasions plus he is still a young lad!
I remember when he was about 18 and there was a lot of hype around him and Harry Wilson. Wilson used to score goals for fun in the youth team and continued scoring for fun on loan at Hull and Derby and I remember my friend saying that he's better than Curtis. What does Curtis do? For me it was obvious that Curtis was going to be the one because he was so comfortable on the ball which is an absolute must these days. It doesn't matter where you play in midfield if you cant keep hold of the ball and distribute it quickly under pressure then you cant play for one of the top clubs. So I always knew he was going to be fine. He always had that in him even when he made his debut about five years ago.
He got good game today, almost scored twice👏
My favorite player.
Curtis jones has become a brilliant player Steven Gerard doesn’t know a thing Curtis is brilliant
Stevie definitely taught Curt to always be a better version of himself every time he walks on and off the pitch. Had Curt not had that conversation with Stevie, I’d hate to think where he would be now.
The king of ball retention
He was talking like Stevan Gerrard
If u a true liverpool fan you understand him
Him and Harvey showing their worth this year for sure
I highly recommend putting the video to 2x speed when pick is sniping Malen, funny asf
I did Uni in Lpool, and when I first got there, I swore it was a different language.
But it definitely grew on me, and my friends and I often spoke in a scouse accent when we were in other towns.
"Was well sound mate!".
Insert Stone Cold Steve Austin "WHAT", I didn't understand 50% 🤣
I wasn't very wrong about him. I said "this guy hasn't evolved since he was 17 years old, he's now 21, he won't turn into anything". but then around 11 months ago, it just clicked for him, he was suddenly so good and he is a proper player now, someone I am proud to call a red.
it must be the air the breath in Liverpool but they don't sound like English lol a language of its own. I can hear the Irish in very deep in the voices when they speak. its lovely
It's like listening to someone scratching a chalkboard.
What a mindset , guy has it
He’s got the carragher screech 😂
I know this might not sound serious but I think Curtis needs to do something to "flashy" on his appearance wise, like slight hairstyle change or something, because god knows he is a hard worker and deserves credit but he simply does not get it because the media does not give him enough credit. May sound stupid but branding is important imo
Yeah your right you do sound stupid.. Its his legs that are important not what he looks like hes fine....
Love ya brother. Scouser 🫶🏻🫶🏻 YNWA
This guy embarrassed himself infront of the world when he said arsenal copied his celebration 😂😂😂
Him and Harvey have improved alot
the amount he’s improved over the past year has been huge, he adds so much control to games and his pressing game is fantastic

Curtis is a baller. I hate Liverpool. But he’s a baller 🤣
This is the first time I'm hearing Curtis speak and I'm shocked 😂

Shocked at what.?
I defo think Jones is overrated by Reds fans, but you can definitely tell there is alot more he has about him if he has abit more confidence and tries to own a first team spot for a whole season
Ballon D'or !, eh lad one day 😊
The most underrated young player in england.
You mean operated, his an average player at best, the only reason most fans like is because his a scouser
"Look i Gave you the number 10 shirt because i wanted ya to be The Main 1 ina da Team" 😂👌
I'm not gona say what Steven said to me, then proceeds to say what he told him.
Difference between an amateur who thinks he's the ishhhh and a professional who knows this is a job and if you are not working hard all the time then someone else will be there to take your spot without a second thought
Needs to be able to put togethor more 7 or 8/10 performances in consecutive weeks, seems to be excellent one week and then be invisible the next. But at his best, he is excellent....
Omg I wasn’t expecting Him to sound like that
What was you expecting him to sound like

His fringe is drawn in with sharpie , can anyone else see that!!?
Very talented player who I believe needs more starting time before Ryan came Curtis was on the left of midfield then got injured
I think he’s arguably our most important midfielder.

Liverpool fans. Do you think there is a chance he will be sold to Arsenal? Apparently, Arteta loves him but I think they love him in Liverpool (sometimes at least lol) and won't let him go.

I thought he was speaking some weird breed of french english arabic and german until I read and heard more clearly
Not at his best vs City. Young players are inconsistent. He's still developing. Give him time. He's one of our most press resistant footballers.
