Rob. This video took me back to my first time on a plane, and my first time out of the country. My parents took a 13yo me to the Bahamas. And we stayed in a family village where they rented on small 2 bedroom house to tourists. But wow we’re they AWESOME hosts. They made us conch salad and it was AMAZING. We didn’t use the queens though, as the family used them to sell at the market for jewelry. We at the kings only. As you can quickly get the meat out without hanging the shell. It was amazing! Great vid and what a blast from the past. SAME ingredients! For context. I’m 37yo now. So 14 years ago, same salad. If it works it works!

Thanks, you must have seen my comment about catching and cooking conch. In Belize we do conch fritters or conch soup which is like a gumbo with green plantains, coco (root vegetable) & okra served over rice. Its delicious!! I love conch! FYI, (IMO) I believe Habanero may be the hottest pepper I have ever eaten! Birds eye is rather tame. We grew those on vines in Belize.

The Birds eye chili is far from the hottest pepper as it typically only averages 100,000 - 225,000 Scoville Heat Units. The Carolina Reaper is the world's hottest pepper, with an average of 1,600,000 - 2,200,000 SHU!
