- 3 day solo bushcraft trip in late autumn, enjoying the colours change. Wacky weather on the entire trip. one minute sunny, another cloudy and super windy. This is the last canoe trip for this year, but I am looking forward to some deep forest bushcraft and wild camping trips. on day two I wanted to go farther than my summer camp but the wind was not cooperating so I abandon my first plans and just made the best of it. love the little stove... handy and easier to "fuel" than the Coleman. Used to do a lot of this sorta thing in my younger years and loved every moment of it! Good stuff!!

The coat was a dead give a way and the double fires confirmed some warmth was needed. Of course cooking during these journeys is a no brainer, Chef Ric at his best. 18*F this morning here, and I live in the desert SW...was 90*F two days ago, crazy. A long time ago, our 3rd canoe was a Mad River Malecite, one of the very first in all Kevlar. It weighed 49 lbs vs my Grummans at 80! That Malecite took us / me many places in Ontario and the Adirondacks. Sadly, my lovely wife died, so I traded my tandems in on a customized Hemlock Eaglet Solo in Graphite, only 36 lbs! Click on the header for this message to see it in action. Nag, that fade from painting to real world was just AWESOME! I have seen you do this before, and they are always AWESOME! One day, even with my meager wood carving skills I will make a buck saw that will please my eyes as much as yours does. I will make it of Pennsylvania cherry and I will use it to a pleasant pantina and sure of its worthiness. Then we trade so I can see my beautiful saw on one of your videos 😀
