I had a friend who moved to Chicago in 2001. Long story short I ended up subleasing his original place and he moved a few blocks away. I had never even been to Chicago. This place was on Greenview. I would walk from there to my friends new apartment in wriglyvile passing the music box and then passing the metro etc…. I was a huge SP fan but at the time had no idea I was literally walking and living right where they were a short 7 years earlier. Billy had this house just blocks away from the stadium really and then moved into apartment above the music box or right beside it. Insane.
This came out the yr I was born. And my dad played the pumpkins throughout my childhood. Only for me to appreciate it and show his grandkids. Met Billy in 2017 at a train station on NM. Wish my dad was still here🥲 commenting because I was missing him and wanted to listen to feel closer to him.❤️ RIP dad.

Um...agreed. I'm amazed that this video exists....and there's two camera men recording this song. These guys were nobodies in 1990....so that surprises me.
Naively, I kept imagining all of them doing something like this, back last year or so when they started to connect again. Just hanging out and playing.
He def did but it's a lot easier to sing without a mic imo. And there playing pretty quiet. But yes he sounds amazing definitely understood how to project
This is NOT 1990... this is more like 1993. Billy had long hair in 1990 as did James. Billy cut his hair and James bleached his sometime in 1993. The Clip that pops up briefly before Crush is probably what is 1990.
Billy always likes to rip on the other members of the band and downplay their contributiions but you can really see in this clip that they were all collaborating on this track.
This is 1993 at Billy's house. This clip was included as a bonus on the DVD of the Gish deluxe edition.

Me and a childhood friend of mine are huge SP fans. He actually lived in whatever building is next to Music Box probably around 2016 or so.
This a true gem from the past, amazing. I speculate this is Billy's purple house in Wrigleyville, where he wrote Siamese Dream.
