Thank You for covering this story. This is my opinion, I have lived here 5 decades and I can say murder is very rare in this area. The church was started as a write off and to have a pathway to be sovereign citizen. The suspects believed there was a SA case with the grandkids that had not been resolved to their liking. They had no respect for Veronica due to the SA. They were using the accusations against her brother to keep the kids from her. Saying that Veronica was putting the children in danger. They believe in justifiable homicide and SA is on that list. So, in their minds, they have done nothing wrong. They were protecting the children. I am not sure on the ownership of the school but it is very possible they had keys to the school. These are sick individuals and do not represent the communities of this area. We are very proud of our local LE, OSBI, KBI, and FBI. We are deeply saddened by these events. ❤❤✌️

I wonder how much of the SA allegations were fabricated by the grandmother. It seems her original disapproval was based on her son and Veronica being unwed and poor. Regardless, she didn’t care about those kids, she is just an overt narcissist

If there was an SA case investigated by the law, you can bank on states like OK and KS will take that very seriously. If it wasn't "resolved to their liking" it probably means they were merely accusations that the court ruled out.
No, they used that as an excuse to try & keep the kids away from mom! They think they are superior to others!

Granny and Tad have money and are a flight risk, let alone the risk of tampering with evidence and exerting influence on possible jurors.
For those reasons I hope this trial is moved to another county, so that no jurors can be influenced.
They’d better prove they have no money, as they (at least now the first 4 suspects) are claiming they can’t pay for a criminal defense attorney-most people couldn’t.

There is always extra security when a case has anything to do with sovereign citizens. I’m in Texas, and that situation is taken very seriously. And yes, there are many people with guns. That’s just a given here. The potential with that group is why they would add security.

Financial deal! Yep... there's a trust in the kids name and probably life insurance for mom. It makes zero sense why all these people would get involved unless money was involved. Disgusting!
The children would each get dependant survivor benefits...I'm almost certain that each child would get a minimum of $1400 a month, on top of whatever other benefits (aka life insurance) that they are entirled to. Whomever has custody of the children is the one who would have access to this money on behalf of the dependants.

Logically, it seems that if these people TRULY thought that the children were being SA, they would go after the alleged abuser. This causes me to strongly agree that this case was more about TA being scared to lose control...
However, the suspects and logic are very much strangers. Therefore, what makes sense to most of us, completely escapes these suspects. This horrific case is exactly what nightmares are made of. Sadly, in the world we are living in today, hardly anything surprises me or brings emotion out of me...I feel as if I've seen and heard it all. However, this case has rocked me to my core. When I think about the pain and fear these two women endured during their last minutes, I earnestly feel sick inside. I've prayed countles prayers and have cried evetyday since I learned of this tragedy. I often find myseld begging God to provide the two families with the kind of hope, peace, and comfort that can only come from Him and surpasses all of our understanding.

Actually, the closest airport (to Guymon, Hugoton, & where the murders occurred) is in Liberal KS. Liberal is about 40 miles from Guymon & a 30” flight to Denver International.

If you study the sovereign movement and many separatist groups, they are frequently financially stressed and the sovereign movement allows them to believe they are not bound by government rules. They eventually claim they can't pay debts with anything but gold or silver, and the government eliminated those from trade so IE they don't have to pay their debts anymore. A reason to stop paying taxes or vehicle registration etc...

If you're referring to Wrangler's grandmother, they didn't run her name through the mud. They simply repeated what she has allegedly said about her knowledge of the custody dispute and that Wrangler said it would no longer be a problem.
