Rinnai wall heaters are incredibly good. Venting is extremely well designed. Great heat output.
Hard to compare as they require 120v and damn they are $$$.
Oz: I just got one for free. I was told that it would not power on. Took it home , pluged it in, power. Now I have to order the vent kit.
Have 4 between 2 houses and 2 garages yes they are pricy and doubled in costs the last 5 years but can't be beat not all that difficult to install either.
Your #2 claim isn't supported by actual customer reviews. This Martin only gets a 50/50 customer satisfaction rating from people who actually have one and you put it right at the top of your list!! What gives?
We had a vented Mid-sized Martin propane heater installed in the bedroom of our cabin recently...
It works great, but is it safe to use when sleeping.? Or do we need a carbon monoxide detector.?
Why is the rv 450 listed?
Is it a water heater?
Or a water heater for heating rooms?

Finally vented propane heaters. I am currently a van dweller who has been using unvented propane heaters. Yeah these are not ideal. I have been using a tank mounted radiant heater for mild weather (into and out of bed only) and a thermostat controlled portable radiant heater hosed to a 20# tank for around 0⁰F and below nights. Both of these are not ideal since my windows get steamed and iced up when I use these heaters. Money is an issue and have been frustrated that all the small vented propane heaters are extraordinarily expensive. Haven't the Chinese done some knockoffs? Also how does one search for such units. I use terms such as vented and directed vented and all I get is listing for unvented or vent free units. Doesn't Google have any idea what I am looking for. What ever you do don't talk to me about those stinky noisy diesel units. Those things are crap and need electrical power.

Google told him so, and he can't tell a water heater from an actual heater.
The Rinnai unit smells like gas, constantly. for over 2 yrs now. Can't possibly be sealed combustion.
Any that take power SUCK!!!!
