I liked the Legends Z trailer. All that we’re missing now is the new mythical Pokemon which was a pretty disappointing outcome, because many (including myself) were expecting it to be revealed in this Pokemon presents
so much negativity already with the whole only one city thing. people are not thinking hard enough. they aren't just gonna make a boring game with a small city. there obviously has to be alot more to it. assuming its bad cuz of that is weird

Some of you children really need to use your head. Hell, look at legends arceus which was developed in less time than this seems to be having put into it.
What of what the trailer says is aiming for a coexisting with Pokémon in the city.
What if our "Lumious Dex" is discovering what type of Pokémon have made the city their home.
They could also potentially give us access to Underground sections under the city.
Honestly these thoughts give me a Pokémon Reborn feeling!
It would actually be justified if they gave us a huge underground area, seeing as the Paris Catacombs is a thing.

The scrapped AZ Floette event Pokemon might finally be used! And maybe Ash-Greninja! AZ’s Floette has been fully functional in the game files for year and was even fully functional in Pokémon Home since launch!
Also, I think that neon stuff was supposed to represent blueprints.

I hope Legends ZA keeps PLA catching/interaction with Pokemon but has mainline battling.
I'm honestly guessing this is pretty much YEARS after the events of Legends Arceus since in that game, human and pokemon weren't fully used to each other at the time until we came along and brought peace, but this is I'm guessing still in the past but perhaps during that War during 3000 years ago mentioned in X and Y at the end of the game with that giant device, so maybe we'll have to fight Zygarde at the end of this game, and possibly encounter Xerneas and Yveltal as well? That's my guess but I'm honestly excited for it! Wooooo

If you look at the people you will notice they look more like the more modern day designs for people and not something like what X/Y suggests the Kalos people dressed like during the war. In fact my idea is that it will be set years after X/Y and it would be more post-modern instead of futuristic.

People are getting stunlocked, thinking it's cyberpunk. It's not. What is Lumiose city also called : The City of Light. That's what this is : a Light infused 3D representation of the plans drawn on that paper. The layout is exactly the same as X and Y Lumiose, there's nothing futuristic added. It being a Legends game and that the plans represent current day Lumiose means only one thing, it's set in the past.

Legends Z-A seems to have been 3 years in development. At least after Legends Arceus.
And using the scraped 2015 Kalos 2 ideas they already had the plans for a while...

I wasn't expecting this at all! But I love the unpredictability of Game Freak.

My interpretation of the trailer is the whole future sequence we see is what somebody reading those blueprints would imagine the city being like, we're literally looking into someone imagination. I imagine this game takes place in an industrial revolution-like era of Kalos, and a even earlier Lumiose City was destoryed or lost in some way. Now it's up to us and whoever to rebuild what was lost and make Lumiose the beacon of Kalos. That's my Game Theory from just a minute teaser.
I actually want to play this one. I didn't play Legends Arceus because of my disability and very poor hand-eye coordination, but I am excited for this one.

If its only Lumiose City, they just revealed the map which shows TONS of nooks and crannies, roads, alleyways, city waterways, without even counting the indoors… and something tells me that with the urban development plans comes something in the lines of the gen 9 dlc terrarium

The "redevelopment" plans make me think of the Haussmanian renovations of Paris during the 19th century, adding the big boulevards; iconic looking buildings ; cleaning the city ; adding a sewer system and growing the city in size. Before that, it was smaller and looked much more medieval. So what I would expect is that : A smaller medieval and labyrinthian looking city center and some wild outskirts of what would be the outer districts in current-day Lumiose. I'd expect a mechanic to send the player into the "future", or rather during the events of X and Y to finish telling the story.
So true I can’t wait to my hacked new Nintendo 2DS XL with X and Y preloaded. Sweet I think next year we get legends then the new Nintendo Switch with it and in November we get gen 2 or 5 and 2026 we get gen 5 or 2 and then gen 10 . Hype is real. Can’t wait

Hexagon was code name for Zygarde!

I love Kalos & Mega evolution mechanic which reignited my love for pokemon 10 years ago. Also, i LOVED legends play style.

I'm so glad we are getting a new Legends game. This was one of the two things that I wanted it was either this or Gen 5 remakes. I'm surprised that it's in Kalos but hyped because mega evolution is returning!

I think is unlikely that the game will be interely in Lumious City maybe in a main hub or something but at least we get to go to the Tower of Mastery, The Sundial or something to do with the ultimate weapon in Geosenge, or the Kalos league (which is one the best looking buildings in the whole franchise)
If we staying in the city it has to be online battles co-op and stuff is a MUST in my opinion fifteenth biomes something idk how they gonna do it lol
I didn’t expect kalos was going to be it for a legends game I used to play the original kalos region and how I missed this and now it’s going to be a legends game and I can’t wait to play this and use mega evolutions

Even though I don't mind if there isn't a bigger game from Pokemon coming out this year. I think we will still get something from them. I mean something like a Let's Go could still happen because that is small enough that it could be made alongside Pokemon Legends Z - A. Who knows maybe those rumored games are those smaller games I mentioned being mainly handled by other companies like how BDSP was done.

I got 2 theories in mind
1. The game is set in the past like legends acreus and trying to build lumios city into the big metroplis we know it as. (Because of the old style of music being played, and looking like classified documents, with the neon section just being a vision of the blueprints)
2. The game is set after the events of x & y and trying to turn lumios into a future metropolis
Either way zygard gets mad due to the disruption of nature in building the city

It's a Nintendo Switch title, and since there is no footage more than likely means they have nothing to show as of yet, similar thing when Scarlett and Violet was announced we'll probably get more details later this year.

Pokemon Legend Z-A are trying something really exciting here, i remembered that the original plan for Mother 3 (Mother64) was to develop a RPG game that only in one city and the protagonist will see the entire development process of that city. However, this concept was never been made, and after so many years, we don't really see any other RPG titiles tried this concept. So GF really challlenges themselves to make a game with an unique concept this time, so excited !!!!!
This was quite a surprise, and I can't wait to return to Kalos. While I know they like to release games in the fall around the holidays, I do think an almost two year gap between new content is unlikely. I would guess either early next year to coincide with Pokemon Day or late spring to capitalize on people having extra free time in the summer. I am hoping we still get something related to Johto or Unova in the future in addition to whatever the next new generation is.

It’s not really meant to look futuristic it’s the blueprints coming to life hence why the buildings are blue
I still think it'll be a more modern game instead of it being ancient Lumiose but guess we'll see
@@ActualAero yeah that be fine if true, but part of the appeal of the legends games to me was exploring the history of previous regions and giving them more depth, the kind of world building you just can’t do with the mainline games.
@@ActualAero I wouldn't exactly say that it specifically would be "ancient" per say.
From the earlier sketch that you saw before everything became a blueprint of the redevelopment plan, the very buildings has a more 1800s look to them. So the idea of this redevelopment plan likely has more to do of an older Lumiose City being modernized to the current Lumiose we know today. (Hell the project itself could be called Lumiose City to refer the very change the city is going through. As it could have been called something else)
Cause technically speaking if they were planning on doing something futuristic for the city, I doubt that the Prism Tower would look 1 to 1 as it is currently. And also when you look at the very meaning when it comes to urban redevelopment.
"Urban" just means "relating to a city or town." So realistically it wouldn't exactly pinpoint what the timeframe of when this redevelopment would actually be.

I hope there pvp in this one. Make it tradtional turn based like main gen games for battle with trainers. Make it kinda of a good sport thing. Cuz i really like the light and heavy attack version of attacks. Thats just not very balanced
That's why it's called Pokemon Legends Z-A because its usually takes place before the original game comes up. The holographic presentation is just a blueprint for redeveloping the urbanize Lumiose City. The key words here we know it's before XY is the "A Vision of beautiful coexistence between people and Pokemon..." means that there are still conflict with the relationship if pokemon and humans. Modern eras are now getting along with pokemon but here it's to coexist. Also not a coincidence that they choose Kalos after Paldea because Paldea is a representation of Spain so it's near France which Kalos is based on. Not gonna be surprised if they mentioned Paldea and Galar (representation of UK) because they were in war before.
actually Paris, France got a redevelopment plan in the 1850s like literally they demolished many buildings and ended the redevelopment plan by 1889 by finishing the Eiffel Tower last. It's possible for a future Kalos but it wouldn't feel like Legends if it's like that to be honest.
I hope eventually they take the legends arceus control scheme and mix it with main series battling and make that the standard for the main series games. I don't know about anyone else but the legends arceus (and hopefully legends z-a) control scheme felt the most natural and fluid.

I wouldn’t rule out Johto remakes.
I say this because I listened to the music during the majority of the presents which sounded like Johto music. And not to mention the Uknown appearing at the beginning showing a scrambled “Pokemon Presents” in Uknown then right before Legends ZA being presented the letters “SOEYUE”. So I believe we will see Johto by the end of the year. Just my guesstimate.

I hope gen 10 finally the pokemon world game we want. Pick a region to start in. Once you beat it move on to the next region. Get a new starter. Once you beat a leagun you can use different region mon there for there post game content. No need to worry about balancing if every region is normally balanced.
I wonder how long until people realise the game is just within Lumiose City. We won't explore anywhere else in Kalos.

I have mixed feelings about the game only being set in one city because one of my favorite things about Pokémon is exploring new areas and being set in a single city limits that exploration
Pokémon’s 30th anniversary is two years away. It’s a bit too early to say if gen 10 is 2025 or 2026 since we don’t even have a date for Pokémon legends Z-A as of right now. They are already moving on from scarlet and violet. I don’t know why some people seem to think they would make a third dlc or go back to scarlet and violet. Then there is pokemon horizons, it’s bit too early to say if gen 9 and horizons will been three years long. Given how Pokémon horizons is the gen 9 anime for gen 9. We don’t know yet if legends Z-A is in early or late 2025 right now. As for gen 5 remake, I think it could be in gen 10 as gen 1 remake was in gen 3, gen 2 remake was gen 4, gen 3 remake was in gen 6, and gen 4 remake was in gen 8. Then there is also Let’s go which was a remake of yellow in gen 7. A remake right now of gen 5 would be a bit too soon. I’m hoping gen 10 is in 2026 since that would mean pokemon horizon and gen 9 is 4 years long if it isn’t in 2025. I didn’t expect a legends game in kalos. If there was a legends game, I thought it would be in johto or unova. I also thought we would get a game in johto or unova. All we have now is pokemon horizons to watch and any spin off game that either comes out from now until pokemon legends Z-A comes out in 2025 whenever that is. As well as any pokemon spin off anime that comes out from now until the release of legends Z-A in 2025. 2015 was somewhat of a boring and dry year for pokemon. Since there was much going on in that year other than the anime and some pokemon spin offs that came out in 2015. I need more information about legends Z-A.

Pokémon Black White 3 is Referring to the 3rd Legendary Pokémon Zygarde which technically Zygarde is Black and White because it's original form is Black/Green and Shiny Form is White/Green! 😲👍
Black City can reflect light just like the Hexagons on Zygarde body that do reflect light!

I want to know more about Zygarde’s final form and the story around the legendary Pokémon. Also, hopefully they create an event for Old Man AZ’s Floette. I didn’t know they’d incorporate zygarde into this game but then I remembered how they did it in the anime it could work
For all we know, the others you mentioned (Let's Go Johto or Black & White remakes) may be in development. Japan has a lot of workaholics. Legends Arceus was really good, satisfying on a lore level etc but lacked in some places but its not minus points as Hisui was in the past and things like making curry with your Pokémon or making Poffins with them wasn't a thing yet. Still definitely missed that and other elements though, just shows how much Game Freak has been spoiling me since X & Y finally brought in petting and proper Pokémon interactions through Amie. The reason why it feels that way for Kalos is because Pokémon Z was shelved for the 20th Anniversary titles. Its a fact that Game Freak keeps things around to revisit when it fits so they may have taken what they had of Pokémon Z for this project. And Mega Evolution + Zygarde were forced into Alola because of what happened which wasn't the best but they did their best to make it work. Competitive definitely became bloated though as gen 7 continued. Battle mechanic, gimmicks are more small things in Pokémon but hey. Mega Evolution is my least favorite battle mechanic overall, it doesn't have enough diversity and some of the designs are just no, no thanks. Hopefully a fix is coming. Don't speak too soon, Scarlet & Violet aren't quite done yet, events will be there but some insist on there being an unrevealed Mythical still. Not gonna say its true but we still got plenty of content coming this year regardless :) To me every Pokémon Presents is hype btw. I feel like i'm the only one who doesn't have graphics on the wish list. To me Pokémon looks way better on the Switch than it did on the 3DS atm
im super excited for the game and to me i think that the game is gonna be a re imagining of the original XY plot but all taking place in the city and with all new characters and redesigns of the, original XY character kind of like how ORAS did it, the trainers they show in the trailer look too modern to take place in the past i think they just wanted to show us that we are going to be going to a new re imagined version of lumiose city, there is so much plot potential only in the city with all the secrets and lysandre labs and the power plant and if the map is gigantic that can give so many new possibilities, i think since they called it legends Z they want to use ideas from the scrapped Z version game and in the third version games they change the plot from the originals to add in relevance of the third legendary from the main trio which in this case is zygarde and the pokemon logo being pink in the title they could also involve diancie 👀

I really like legends arceus but the only thing I dislike is the Pokédex since that was rough to get to unlock arceus I did get it but Ik that it probably will be the main focus along with the story but that the only thing that I don’t like about legends arceus but I am excited for legends Z-A since I know people who play X and Y never got the the attention that they deserve for Pokémon Z but now years later they got what they want

Wouldn’t a futuristic setting contradict the title? I mean it’s called “Pokemon Legends.” A legend is usually set in the past. So if it’s set post the events of X/Y it wouldn’t be a legend. My money’s on that it’s set after the Great War and the player will be helping rebuild Lumiose City into what is shown in X/Y.

Game freak, knew exactly what they were doing when they made this it was a complete curveball.

I predicted -hoped for- Legends Kalos. It's the only generation that has all the last few unavailable post-Gen 8 Pokemon (thanks. DEXIT) natively in a region (minus Alolan Raticate ☹️ ).
