    Beautiful custom build. It must have cost quite a lot, but you have a toy vehicle of which you can be proud. It would be good to know where you bought the kit of pressings for the truck, and any other parts you did not get from Gasoline Alley.
    Thanks and best wishes.

    Great job. I would strongly suggest NOT using rubber gloves and use tweezers holding the backing paper while pulling away the decal. Decals are precision work. No gloves brother. Just a suggestion. You still get a high score for not using pop rivets. 👍🏼

    • @joe_diy
      @joe_diy  Před 2 lety

      I hate wearing gloves, lose all sense of touch but I wanted to keep the whole thing finger print free for the clear coat.

    • @georgegoff2550
      @georgegoff2550 Před 2 lety

      @@joe_diy my method has always worked for me without the oils off the fingers. Gloves are a pain in the ass with gloves. But I saw your decal turned on itself a little. I got tired of that. But every restorer has his method. I’m just telling what works for me. So you don’t clear coat the cab top? Didn’t see the gloves used on that? Just sayin.

    • @georgegoff2550
      @georgegoff2550 Před 2 lety

      Hay joe also might be easier putting the hubcaps in the whitewalls first then inserting the whitewalls into the tire. I’ve found that works better. 👍🏼I really like trading secrets of the trade. I’ve picked up a few better ideas as well. And I’ve found that toy collectors take no offense to other ideas. You do good work I just was sharing. And is desalle still put out kits? I did not know they ever did. 👍🏼G
