I met Bivol once, at the Legends gym in Norwalk. He was there training along with Andy Ruiz’s team. Maybe Andy Ruiz gave Canelo some info on Bivol’s flaws.
Why because he’s Mexican American and Canelo is a Mexican so they must be best friends for life? Lmao you sound like a conspiracy theorist dude. Ruiz is the last to talk on flaws anyways considering that he got caught and dropped against Joshua, and then pummeled in the rematch.

He would hire up and coming boxing prospect's, as sparring partner's, so he could learn their fighting styles and flaws. That way, if in the future, he would have to face them, he would already be familiar with their fighting styles and their weaknesses.

Bivol will have some success for sure against Canelo in the early rounds. But the body shots Canelo will land are going to take effect by round 8-12 and that’s when it’ll get interesting. Bivol should make it to the end, but I think he loses a split decision and gets rocked at some point. Good match up either way.

Also lets not forget the fact that he had already been stopped by Andre Ward and Eleider Alvarez. He was already on the decline when Canelo fought him. Why else do you think they chose him out of all the other 175 champs at that time, 2 of which are still champs in Bivol and Arthur Beterviev. This is going to be Canelos 1st true test at 175.

I'll be honest, I slept on Bivol. Not on top of him literally but you know what I mean. I didn't do any research about him and quite honestly before the Canelo fight I have never heard of him like most people. Well you got a new fan big time. This guy is legit 100%.
