  • Outside Rein! If you only had a nickel for every time you heard that in a lesson. Well here is a quick and easy lesson with Robert Dover on how to work through issues with a horse that tends to lean on the inside rein more than the outside rein. Rewarding your horse is the key to success in simplifying the process and getting your horse to want to be on the outside rein. Check out how Robert does it.
This video was filmed at the Robert Dover Horse mastership program in Wellington, Florida at the Global Dressage Festival.

Can someone explain to me how to collect the horse in details? What to do with the reins and the legs and how to understand if the horse is collected or avoiding the bit and stuff like that?

Hey Mary... I think this is an extremely complicated lesson to learn just from typing a paragraph about. I would highly suggest finding a good instructor to help you learn as its really about feeling more then anything else. You cannot properly collect a horse without years of doing all the small building blocks to working up to a true collection. Keep watching videos from these channels or Art2Ride they will help you understand these concepts too and review the German training scale as well this may help explain working to collection as well.
Hope that helps a little bit.
