Nice - Really like this grill. Would be great if you have any shots or idea of how much coal you used and how much was left. Lot of folks interested in how fuel efficient it is.

It’s literally the perfect grill for me. It’s everything I want, but the only thing I don’t like is the top of the smoke stack maybe they could did something like the top of the Kamado joe companies sell that part separate so thinking if I get one, do the measurements and see if it fits then it will truly be perfect

Thanks for Watching! I did check the outside of the grill, especially on the side that the charcoal was on and all the paint was intact. The inside comes double seasoned from the factory and supposedly they will be including a seasoning kit with the grill. I believe what you saw was from the high heat cook 2 days prior to this that burned off the seasoning in that spot. It’s a good question, I plan another follow up video on questions that I haven’t answered yet and mod I did. Appreciate you pointing that out Raymond, Thanks
My only criticism about the smoker is the placement of the smoke stack. I would have loved to see it dead center of the lid, and to come with a diffuser so you can use the whole grate when smoking.

I enjoy the placement as its already in a familiar configuration to weber. Especially if the grill is designed for kettle enthusiast and those looking to upgrade from traditional kettle. The design is more familiar. Anyways with the deflector plates i dont think it will matter much. Lastly, maybe im wrong, but i think the vent being offset is the right choice, because the forced air from the venom speeds up air flow and a central vent would not necessarily mean that the good clean smoke we covet would come into contact with the food. I imagine it woukd flow similarly to water and follow the path of least resistance. I think having the vent offset slows down exit of smoke and how the smoke would move around in the entire chamber. If we put wood chunks on the right it would move across the chamber and over the food from right to left, just like traditional offsets. I could be wrond im not a scientist.
@@Maelo_R I see all your points. Possibly valid. The website is marketing this smoker as a kettle kamado. Every kamado I’ve seen has the intake/exhaust in the center. That is designed that way for even draw or airflow up and out the chamber. Even the Weber Kettle One Touch Platinum (the version with the two side tables) has the vent located dead center. Tom has a couple in his garage as do I. Just the placement of the vent being top dead center has produce some of the most amazing brisket I’ve ever made while utilizing a diffuser. For the record I do believe that the Huntsman will be an amazing smoker as is.
