He probably is selling it, because his wife found out how much he spent to put this together. And now he has a less-expensive computer.
That's why he had it display a picture of him and his wife on the cpu cooler - thought it would help him win her over!
To quote Jurassic Park: The owner was so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should
*insert "spared no expense"*
Well... ... ... ... there it is.
Every time an ad says "My loss your gain", walk away.
Not so, I have sold computers and computer parts below their cost to me just to clear some space out at home.
We have a saying in Romania:"Stupid is not the one who's asking, stupid is the one who's paying".
Be informed about the product you want and most of the times you'll be ok.
I think that saying is universal. :D
Philippines be so talkative online but ain't done shiet in recitations. Laughing at people asking and always waiting to pounce on others "errors".
the storage configuration is hilarious. feels like the seller compulsively tried to populate as much of the motherboard as possible
This is actually one of the reasonable offers among facebook marketplace, people there be selling gaming pcs that run every AAA game at high settings with the top of the line i5 2400 and 1050ti for a token price of 500 euro
It's notm paying 6k for a used rig? With the warranty pretty much expired? No thx. You can build the same one with less flashy shit and it would be around 4000$.
Have you noticed that all the 3000 series has drastically increased? For example 3600, 3700x and specially the 3900x are almost as expensive as their 5000 counterparts?
No
There's nothing better than all of those 'high-end' gaming pc's that use low to midrange parts from 5-10 years ago!
When your uncle discovers you can flip PCs and decides to leave the used car dealership he was top salesman at.
unemployed infomercial guy...it slices, it dices, it juliennes fries. but dont wait, if you order in the next 10 min receive 30% off!
@@saltee_crcker2363 lmao, fr fr. "but wait there's more! Order with in the next 30 minutes and get an additional gaming headset, mouse and keyboard combo!. A $365 value" haha
😂😂😂 🍻 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Please do more of these, I love watching you review these

I just checked Facebook marketplace in my country sorting by price (highest) and £4,750 ($6000) will buy a brand new "Custom Loop Gaming PC! i9 14900KF | RTX 4090 | 32GB DDR5 | 2TB M.2 | White" so my local PC builders will do a custom watercooling loop and a 14900KF for that price from a seller that's from an actual legit company with a brick and mortar store, a warranty and a returns policy (ProTech PCs) so way less sketchy to purchase from. Would I buy that? no! But at least I can see where they are justifying the price.
He could have bought every bit of it used already, built it, and then wrote all that you see and is making 2 grand on it.
I see this a lot in one of the local FB PC selling groups I'm in. People went all out on their personal gaming rig, and then get mad when nobody wants to pay them full retail for all of the fluff they're including with it. People love to pack them full of those expensive fans, and nobody really wants to pay for those when buying a used PC...not when it adds a few hundred dollars to the price and they're not giving you any extra performance.
the other night, i saw someone trying to sell their computer in a custom computer building group, and he had a 5600g + 3060 ti + 12gbs of ram and no watercooler lol,, and he was asking 3k USD for it, i tried to give him some advice on to sell the 5600g seperately to make more money but just so offended and blocked me lol
OooOOf
Damn even i know by build was about $3600 CAD but today wouldnt run more than $1700 on the current market but take my defense i had to build within availability in anticipation of our enslaved lockdown
Lmfaoo imagine getting offended bc of being stupid online
*12* GB? WTF? :D
@@samiraperi467 very odd indeed... either its 2x4G + 2x2G or 3x4G .. all combinations r a disaster .. wouldent surprice me if thay also had completely different timeings (sounds like an upgraded mismatch)
In the summer of 2023 I built this exact same spec rig for a friend. Same Mobo, Ram, Drive setup (I would have made different choices but this is what he wanted), and AIO cooler...Only things we did differently we used the I9 13900KS, a beefier EVGA 1000w platinum rated power supply for the GPU (again not what I would have done but not my build not my money). The build cost a whopping 5500 bucks total in retail. So if someone paid 10g's for this rig they got straight ripped OFF. After looking over the two builds the one I did and this one. I cant help but wonder is there a website out there that put this particular parts list together and labeled it as the ULTIMATE PC or something? Because the similarities are just too coincidental.
I love these. I hope you do more
hey Greg i miss your spin the wheel series hope you do more bro - great heads up on the robbery ads in this 1
We need more of these videos!
I love this series so glad it’s back
May you not get sued for this one *hahaha* - which was the reason I originally subscribed to your channel back in the day. Man, how you've grown your business with Flix or Flop too. Have a great weekend and Easter if you celebrate! P.S. - Would love a new home update video ;)
I appreciate that!
I love the precariously floating Lian Li fan at 2:44 that's only attached to the other fan.
Hey Greg great video! I always get a kick out of the PC ads we get near and around Orlando. What camera are you using to do these recordings with the green screen?? It really looks insane how clear and crisp the quality is.
4:50 "ESET " is very big antivirus company in europe
I hear them advertised on a tech radio program here in the states as well. Never used them, but they at least don't sound like a sketchy fly by night company.
Oh, and it's pronounced E-SET as a word, not E. S. E. T.
I must have stolen my components for my large custom loop build as it was no way near 10k 😂
I hear ya...
So you don't remember how stores didn't have the top cards for ages in the beginning and everything was thousands over what store price was? Memory holing is strong with you.
@@LabelsAreMeaningless I remember those days well, I also remember when the 4090, z790, and 13900k debuted in Q4 2022, well after the supply chain issues had been corrected and there was readily available over stock in all the major retailers. It seems to me that you are the one memory holing this little fact.
I feel most of these guys who sell their PC for an unfair price only do it so they can just pocket their money and wait for the next generation of parts for basically a free upgrade. Unethical flipping.
That green screen wall putting in work already! Love it!
Let’s gooo!! I miss this series so much! Love the stuff on Craigslist too haha
Love to utilization of the new green screen/wall too. It’s extremely clean around the edges with next to no bleeding of green color. Amazing!
Oh man i love these videos, they bring me back
Like the format Greg!
The New Green Screen Intergration looks awsome 👌
Love the new green screen, hope you're loving the new house! Looking forward to a house tour once its ready.
Truly bizzare, almost like I have been here before
I wondered how you'd use the green screen in your new studio and here's the answer. Loved the video and the presentation. Much love from the UK.
This video turned out real nice, and all the sound effects were the perfect volume.
you need to add a section showing what those parts go for used .
Great video Greg i always enjoy these! Just a suggestion for you, maybe at the end of the video you could build a pc with the exact same performance but smarter and more reasonable part choices as a cool comparison.
Yup. I was expecting to see exactly that by the end of the video, actually.
Where did he install 19 fans in 1 case?
Love this!!! I love that you used the green screen for this.
I always liked the NVME PCIE. Non Volatile Memory Express, Peripheral Component Interconnect Express. It's Express Express, so it must be fast!
Oh man, with the parts list whizzing by, I thought he had a 600 watt power supply in that thing. It was deeply confusing that you didn't even mention it, but when I scrolled back, I saw that it was just a power cable.
Gotta question why did they specifically went with a liquid cooled 4090, when there's much cheaper and equivalent performing air cooled models out there.
This is like the crazy shop PC I build in PC Building Simulator and just throw as much garbage as I can fit in it just because I can
This is a nice throwback to 2018 days good job Greg
Thanks for watching!
This was hard to watch but i finished it. I learned how to not sell my used pc parts. Thanks Greg.
Man the quality of your videos has always been good, but this is just supreme.
I wish I knew how you use a green screen and wear glasses at the same time. I always get weird reflections in my glasses that make my eyeballs look weird when I use a green screen. Of course, I suspect you have thousands of dollars in lighting and a much better studio than my home office w/ my elgato green screen. lol.
Nice to see you putting that green screen to good use. Great vid!
The Ten Year thing is not too far off. When the i5 2500k came out, I built a system for gaming around it. It was my main gaming system into 20 21. I was able to run the latest games through that time, which was mainly the Borderlands games and iRacing. It served me well until my upgrade to the Socket 1200.
That green screen improvement is rewlly nice hope u keep it going forward!!!
Got to love people who try to convince you that their rig's were touched by the hand of king Midas himself.
LMAO I DIED AND CAME BACK AND DIED AGAIN at the hand cherry picked it
I like the green screen! Really great choice for the new office.
As for the ad, this individual is clearly out of his mind 😂
These videos are fun. I miss me some PCDC (I found a lot of great music from them, and enjoy watching the process) but I get there are only so many dirty systems in or around your area.
Dont see the lian -li cable extension in the pictures..but it is in the video though
oh hey ive actually seen this one on marketplace
i did a pc part picker build with more reasonable parts and a slightly better cpu and still ended up half of the price he was asking 3000$ and thats with the 10 tb of storage
my similar rig only cost around 4k, didn't go insane on all the m2, but only have a 4tb and 2 2 tbs along with an air powered 4090. if it was a custom case, id see 6k being reasonable, but i wouldn't pay more than 5k and would prob be pushing for 3.5-4k on offers (id personally prob take 4250 at a minimum for the same rig if i built it). as usual though, seems like they'd be better selling the parts if they want to get anything close to what they paid sadly enough, that's if everything works too
That needs to be 5K at max. I've seen some people selling GPUs at or less than 5% near the new price. I wanna comment them, then I just give up. In US this is even harder to sell because often hardware only got 1 year of warranty.
If he still has all the boxes, he'd be better off parting it out and selling separately.
5:20 I feel personally attacked. Btw, 1046 mods is kind of miniscule in 2024. A lot of lists use 2000+ mods, and 32GB is usually more than enough for those.
Well a system like that could be built that meets the title but I think you'd need more like $20,000 and a custom case that would allow for dual motherboards, of course at which time you'd have to consider whether it were one computer or two based on the case configuration.
This is just hilarious cause I was on fb marketplace today and some dude posted an ad (not selling anything) just telling people to stop trying to sell their used old pcs for 2500 bucks… he was having a meltdown 😂😂😂 but I totally see where he’s coming from
Maybe I am missing something, but other than just filling slots, is there really any purpose of using the Samsung 990 PRO 1TB instead of the 2TB model? Same could be asked of the two 870 EVO 1TB especially when above a 2TB drive was used.
Whoa!! Stop the Presses right there! Only a 600 Watt PSU, to Power that Unit?? I don't think so! The 4090 GPU alone, probably requires a Minimum of 750 Watts.
He has a 1500 watt psu, the 600 watt that you saw was the 12vhpwr cable adapter.
i have seen that pc in Blairsville ad several times. i get a cringe chuckle every time i see it lol
I checked the market today and all the old "gaming" pc system are ridiculously priced that building the 5000 and even 7000 series is only $50-100 difference. Like the part where these sellers are still marking/charging their products as new just without the tax. A guy was asking $595-667 for a ryzen 5 2600x with an msi b450i mobo, 16 gb ram, 1080 ti, corsair sf 750 plat and nr200p. For that price or less, I was able to build a 7500F, asus proart b650, 3060 ti, 32 gb ddr5 6000 mhz cl30, 600w psu and a cooler masterbox 500L.
Ok, I a number of years ago bought a used HP Z420 server system (64 gb ram) for a good price, I use it for my basic computer (and gaming) and it works just fine, however, I am tech savvy enough to know how/what to change at times (Although this system did initially confuse me with the motherboard diagram about how the Hard Drives linked in, I just spent more time reading to figure out what I had done wrong), the only things I honestly need now, is maybe more ram (the server system does a REALLY nice job of handling the memory allocation per CPU chipset and thread and processes) a video card, and the back USB bus ports are rather flaky (I would have to signal trace and probably resolder a few resistors or transistors to get them stable again), the other thing I would one day like to get is a proper SSD drive (I am using a 200gb SSD as my boot drive and everything else is run off older hard drives).
Hilarious video. Hopefully you don’t get sued again 🙏
"stupid is as stupid does"
ddr5 sticks of ram 128gb will it run stable? i bought 2 set of ddr5 for my build 64gb each set just end up use 1 set worry about unstable, atm run 64gb of ram at 6600 mhz
vengeance ddr5 6600 mhz
i9 14900k
rog maximus z790 hero bio ver.1801
so much of that you could save money on like the watercooled gpu
This would've been a good value if it had come with a sticker which said "e-Machines - Never Obsolete" 🤣
While the 13900k is technically not the fastest is just a unnoticeable couple of porcentual points behind the fastest to be honest. The real problem to me it's that you can have something that can do exactly the same for much less money. I personally don't like overbuilt PCs but just trying to be objective.
He didn't even install the maximum ram, it's like, bro, does he even max?
ESET is a Micro Center security program that they offer.
Eser smart security is fireeee been using it for years
you forgot to blurr them here 7:11 hahaha XD im dying.
Pinned comment...
Love the new look with the green screen.👍
I counted 16 fans. He probably did spend over 10k, no expense spared, in the way that he definitely didn't shop around or buy things that make sense or he needed.
The green wall being put to good use
Why is all that powered by 600w ? what the actual hell
I notice a lot of gaming pc for sale in my area and they want hundreds over than what they paid for 😂
I love the green screen video, gives a very cool and fun vibe to the content
Let's be fair here, the i9 and 4090 for graphic design is significant overkill lol, but also a Ryzen CPU would be better hands down for the work described.
I live about an hour from this listing (can't find it anymore btw) and i'm gonna tell ya, things havent been getting better in the south and i can't name a single person i know that would or could by this thing.
Greg, maybe it would be useful to mention your personal opinion about a possible fair price range on the used rigs that you review? It might be useful information for some people :)
You forgot to mention that putting that many NVMe SSDs on a motherboard will likely strangle them and/or the graphics card due to the limited PCI-Ex lanes on consumer CPUs ...
That's no ad. It's a flex. 😂
I mean... if it was a home server with a 32c TR the price would be actually pretty ok. You could pretty much run at least 10 game servers in it and make fairly good money.
this sounds exactly like Tech notice posted it...... it's always "The Best and most expensive"
love the green screen man love the new setup ❤
His "aesthetic/customization" fee cost him up. I've seen workstations cheaper than that because of need to upgrade office equipments.
This was fun to watch :D and holy crap basket of excessive fans and ssd's xD
They only make Claims of nothing is better because they know someone isnt PC Savy and go and Buy it for the lack of not knowing and they can just build another one at somepoint and sell it with a overly overexcited Price aswell
When I was building a pc 10 years ago the big card was still the 780TI. The 980 hadn't even released yet. I built it in May of 2014 and the 980 came out in September. I spent way too much to build it in 2014. By 2019 my 5 year old system was starting to feel slow and giving me problems. Forcing me to upgrade. So, anyone trying to plan for 10 years is dumb.
this man never understood that duel channel is by far the superior choice for ddr5
Down right a damn bargain bois!
Best of the best, no T30 fans, screamer high pitch Corsair AIO… can’t stop laughing.
19 FANS!? I actually had to re-watch the video from 2:44 just to count the case fans & yep, it was 19 of them. It's good that it is a big & heavy glass case, otherwise it would risk to get airborne.
The FB Marketplace ad is STILL up too! I'm surprised he hasn't updated his listing to say that his computer was "featured" on the absolute most popular tech CZcamsr's channel! ;-)
Nice video. My Ssystem as it is now would give this pc a run for it's money. Mine being an all AMD build on the AM5 platform would alow for " future " upgrades without the need to switch to a totaly new platform.
With a few changes in cooler, drives and fans, it is $6000 in Canada... with taxes.
And, just an fyi, the phrase is "BALD faced lie". It's a reference to a bird I think but I said bold for decades. HA!
Was getting a borg vibe from that case lighting
2:18 Greg doesn't mention that he has a 600w PSU just for the 4090, the 1500w Platinum wasn't enough or was the adapter ugly? Where is the secondary PSU anyway, external?
I'm actually impressed how many people noticed the "600W PSU" but failed to notice that it's not a PSU, it's the power cable... This dude literally just wrote an entire bonus "spec" to say his PSU has a power cable that supports the RTX 4090. Go back to 2:18 and re-read it. He does specify he has a 1500W PSU and the cable is just a cable that can handle 600W
