Irish people don't actually smoke that much its just that you are not allowed to smoke indoors in public buildings so people smoke outside.Ireland was the first country in europe to introduce those laws but i think nearly every country in europe has the same law.Irish coffeee waws not invented by the americans but it was invented for americans in an irish airport in the 30s ,its traditional now but it wasn't then

anhaaaan 💡, i see, thank you so much for this great info! I don't smoke myself so I always feel overwhelmed with secondhand smoke also i'm pretty judgmental 😬 😆 sorry about that! as for the coffee, I felt like the food in Dublin is usually great ingredients, healthy, with less sugar or fat that in the States, so I thought that most likely sweet Irish coffee with whipped cream - no waaaaay it was invented there 😅 anyways thank you so much for this comment!

Where was Irish coffee invented iin Limerick or something? I know it was down in the southwest.
