I've had some comments on this video raising concerns regarding this week's sponsor that I was unaware of prior to making this video public. Having been a customer of them previously, and experiencing no problems, had deemed them suitable for a sponsorship. So if you're considering purchasing from them please do research them and make an educated decision when purchasing. I will endeavour to do the same with future sponsorships.
G2a is totally fine. Used them for years, never had any issue. It's good you put those crybaby comments into perspective. This community becomes more and more ignorant when it comes to sponsorship of "their" channels. I bet they would even criticize sponsorships from Greenpeace; Bread for the World; Cancer Research UK; Red Cross and others due to nonsense reasons.
Can you kitbash Necron Pariahs?
I appreciate the transparency, and it's an understandable mistake to make.
For anyone intending to use the website, just know that g2a is an organization that devs are on record as saying that they would rather you pirate their games than buy them from G2A, since the keys on G2A are often obtained through illicit or immoral means, like using stolen credit cards or buying in bulk in regions with better pricing because the people there are on average much poorer. I recommend the Jimquisition video(s) on G2A from a few years back for a better picture.
@@williamwatson4795 yeah, this comment should be pinned. A sponsor is a sponsor, and theres some games that you might not care about the devs (especialy massive ones), but its worth putting out there regardless
Instant gaming has good reputation to my knowledge
Nooo...I was working on something like this 😅 The kid slowed me down and you beat me to it 😅 awesome version as always!
Great minds think alike afterall 🤣 I'd love to see your take on the Tallarn!
I know it's ultimately immaterial, but I love the diversity you can get with the Guard. The fact that they can encompass so many different cultural backgrounds and being able to represent that on the tabletop is just neat.
That and these different Guard regiments aren't all just copy-paste of Cadians. They're all different in origin, background, and character, which honestly adds so much to the mileage you can get out of them.
Thank you so much for the conversion guides, Pete. They truly do provide a great deal of inspiration.
I fell in love with the Tallarn after playing "Final Liberation" with the Tallarn tank commander offering a wonderful thick slice of ham with his acting in his cut-scene. Back then, I feel that the Tallarn were more based on the Afrika Korps. This is a great conversion. I find it impressive how much difference chancing the uniform colours achieves.
We have heard of this scene...you fought bravely...
thanks Pete for doing this my friend, the Tallarn Desert Raiders deserved more love. you could do an Updated Savlar Chem-Dog also if you wanted
The Guard conversions are the best hands down. I’d love to see some Vostroyans or Chem Dogs for sure!
I'd love to see your take on the Lucifer Blacks regiment, something that I don't think GW has ever made a proper kit for but that would be very cool
Seconding this, I don't think we've even got official art of them, just descriptions in the books
I simply cannot thank you enough for this tutorial. Whilst your third party tallarn conversion looked amazing, I do not have a 3d printer or the money to order the third party torsos used in it over and over. You've no idea the excitement I felt the moment I saw this in my recommended.
I'd love to see a kitbash of the Mordians, or the Generian 99th Infantry from the All Guardsmen Party. The Mordians would be interesting to see from the Cadian Boxset, while the Generian 99th would be cool to see since they'd be all unique. Either way, great video!
+1 for Mordians!!!
Mordians!!!!!!!
The new Guardsman armour is closer to what carapace armour was in the older pewter models. I compared one of my metal Cadians to the new ones and the new models are a lot bulkier in general.
All the Tallarn models you'll see are from the late 90s in metal and have no plates unless they're officers
i adore your guard conversions, they're some of my favorite videos on your channel. they truly never get old imo
Thank you for making the head wrap yourself. This kitbash is rather clever.
My absolute favorite videos of yours are your guard conversions, dont know how many times I watched those. Cant wait for more:D
Woo!!! More guard conversions!!! Honestly awesome. There are so many regiments to tackle, endless paths to take! Hope to see more of these quality videos from you ❤
Another conversion you could tackle is an Aztec-inspired regiment, I think you can pull it off
That would be quite doable actually with some lizardmen bits
I’ve been loving the guard conversions! The best stuff you’ve done! Keep it up mate!
Fantastic conversion, really enjoying this series of conversions for guard regiments. Would love to see some Vostroyan Firstborns!
Love seeing these different regiments come to life. Almost makes me want tot start a guard army haha. Looking forward to all of your guard conversions
love these videos, its great to see you bringing the different themes into these models, im not very good with the converting side of things but i defiantly want to give it more of a go now. thanks mate
Great video, and myst say the tips and tricks here will definitely come in handy when doing my WW2 figures, thanks heaps.
I'd been waiting for this! Thanks again for another great vid pete I love your content
Great Tallarn Raider. I wonder how you would see fit to make a penal legionnaire, something like the last chancers maybe.
Chem-dogs were suggested above, the last chancers are dated models, but sinilarly dated concepts.
Granted, if anyone could update the models, it'd be Pete.
I remember kitbashing some old Khemri stuff in my Tallarn version of IG a looong time ago. It was cool. You single handedly are going to make me go back to the hobby man
Yes yes yes yes my favorite regiment is back!
Should have made that chin strap into beard, though
This will be awesome for me when I eventually get around to making a Tallarn army. Thanks for uploading bruv. 👍
Genuinely one of the coolest kitbash/conversions I have seen in a while. Mainly because it's so straight forward with such good results. This looks like what a Tallarn should look like if they got a new model kit and feels like something you could make a full army of without a huge effort (and enough money of course).
I second the desire to see a Mordian kitbash of the new kits. The chest feels like it would be the hardest to easily replicate across a whole army but, otherwise, the kit feels like it easily work with some 4rd party heads and shoulder tassels.
I'd also like to see Chem Dogs. Feels like the Death Korps models are built for it.
Love this conversion, so simple yet so effective. My one nit pick with this is your use of colour, specifically such a light white for all the highlights. I appreciate that it helps tie the model together a little but it really desaturated the green trousers, maybe a bone colour or something closer to yellow would have helped with that.
Seeing a guide for the Necromundan 44th, the Spirehawks, would be awesome.
Is it a Coincidence that I was thinking about Imperial Guard Conversions, and this came out? Regardless.... YAY! MORE GUARD CONVERSION, AND IT'S THE TALLARN DESERT RAIDERS! With the amount of Guard Conversions you Keep Pumping out, I Can't wait for you to get your hands on a Rogal Dorn Tank!
Keep up the Damn Fine Work, Pete the Wargamer!
I Request a Tanith First and Only Conversion, be it a Kill Team, or just the Legend Himself Gaunt, it's your Call!
Great work as always, Pete! Would love to see your take on some updated Brood Brothers with the new Cadian models!
Can we get some Tanith first and only conversions. Unsure what all you’d do, but a nice cloak tutorial would be lovely from you
I wish I had the money, time, and artistic talent to do this hobby.
I like your take on Tallarn kitbash and color scheme.
Lovely paint job & work overall as usual 👏🏼
This and your Valhallen are awesome.
I would love to see your take on the challenge of Mordian Iron Guard :D
Couldn't agree more, going back to mid 90s codex mordian were showcased in reds, blues, whites... would love to see a take on the US Marine dress.
+1 for Mordians! I'd love to see some tips on them so I can look to expand my Mordians without sourcing more of the old metals.
Mordians!!!!!
Great video. Best Dengar mini I've ever seen.
I love your Imp guard conversions and can’t wait how you’ll tackle updating the steel legion and Kriegers
Love this. Loved your past conversations and already plan on doing some Valhallas. Now I have a way to do tallarn. Would love to see your take on mordians
Let's see you do some Athonian Tunnel Rats, so I can feel inadequate while watching my own army getting made better than I ever could.
I don't even play 40k, but I love these kitbashes!
Thank you, I wish we had official upgrade kits. Will look for Steel Legion parts, maybe for the Kriegers.
Great work, as usual! Can you try Harakoni Warhawks next time? You can use new Kasrkin models for carapace armour, Astra militarum vehicle accesories for las-carabine and some Space marine stuff for making gravishute.
Been doing a warhawks army for a while (Was aiming to match a picutre by GreySkull on Diviant Art so went Anvil Industires Armoured parts route as they matched best, have the whole range of equipment for an army and not horrendous costwise) the new Kasrkin have made the process a lot simpler the real challenge now is the heads and grav chutes, Anvil Regiments jump packs will probably be best with Kasrkin as they are the chunkiest and match the bulkier models best, head wise, you can get good matches on Shapeways and Madrobot mini's, but Liber Demonicas heads will probably match the Kasrkin models best
@@maddlarkin Nice, man! Can you drop a link to some of your pictures? Really`d like to see your take on Warhawks, they do not get that much attention. IMHO, Mad robot has the best depiction of Harakon regimets, although their proportions do not match curret GW models.
@@maddlarkin I would also love to see them, youtube tends to filter links as spam so splitting an imgur or reddit link up would wwork well
@@AshleyBlackwater okay tried twice that would explain why the posts disappeared, I've got pictures of them up on instagram, I thought it might help me keep motivated with painting (results have been mixed 🙂) under 'larkinsguard' if you wanna look em up
@@maddlarkin Can't seem to get insta working on my end unfortunately ;-;
I'm sure they look great tho :D
I'm making a necromundan guard 8th spiders kill team. Using the new cadian's and the helmet's from the palanite enforcer's from necromunda. These sculpts just look right. 💯🕷️
This is one of the Best! ideas I've heard for Imperial Guard.
I have to admit, I have always liked the idea of the Tallarns wearing desert camouflage. Mainly the American DCU for more sandy environments and the American Chocolate Chip for more rocky environments
Awesome kitbash as always. I'm working on Vostoyans kitbash so I would love to see you make some.
This is fantastic. Hope to see your take on semtexian bombardier or maccabian jannisaries.
Great job on the green stuff.
Nice video as usual Pete, would love to see a new take on the Chem Doggos and Mordian Iron Guard (if they interested you).
Amazing work as always! Elysian drop troops next!
Cool to see you combine two recent kits like that. I'd love to see you return to the Savlar Chem Dogs or do some Diggaz.
Good to see you moving on from the GW range of paints. As far as regiments go, I'd love to see you tackle a rank-and-file Tanith First and Only. Their home world, may it rest in peace, always sparks my imagination and it would be stellar to have a vision of what the regiment looked like pre-Gaunt. That said, I should really read that series.
I'd love to see you make Black Dragon space marines, they featured in the first 40k book I read and would love to make a kill team of them
Love it! If you got time do more obscure Astra Militarum units!
Loved the video! It would be awesome to see a Mordant Acid-Dog conversion.
Your making a lot of imperial guard fans really happy!
Very cool, a simple but effective modification. It would be nice to see what a Steel Legion footman would look like with this new Cadian kit.
Really awesome! I'm so demotivated since i saw that the new guard are cadia ist. But now....😍
I Love your Channel
Your greenstuff sculpting is absolutely top tier
Making tallerans out of the new kit was my plan. Definitely gonna use this video as inspiration and I also want to get the reptilian overlords turban heads too
Ohhh now I'm even more torn up about whether I'm doing an armoured company of Valhallans or Tallarn, though the Tallarn seem to be a load of emperor botherers this is such a fun conversion!
Was that a Ciaphas Cain reference?
@@SoraKirin it was!
Pete, since your chaos kit bash videos are so popular, I'd love to see a series where you make Traitor successors of loyal legions. Maybe a biker gang for the White Scars. Blood Angels that worship Khorne. I don't know, I thought it would be a cool project and right up your alley.
Would love to see vostroyan firstborn next
I'd love to see your take on the Tannith First and only. I recently bought Gaunts ghosts, and would love to see how you would go about making regular troopers
Let's see some new Mordians! But their whole thing is line battle, how do you make a full squad easily?
10mm on a single base lol
Hi, awesome video! I would Love to see Tanith I regiment 😊
Literally followed you a month ago in the hopes you’d cover these sandy lads 😍
I'd love to see some Gue'vesa converted from the new guard models!
Excellent!
I'd like to see your interpretation of the Brontian Longknives, and how many blades you could fit onto one model. One thing of note is that they explicitly use a variation of Kantrael lasgun with a permanent bayonet and wooden stock as their main weapon. It could also double as guide to painting scars, as they have plenty of them.
My dream video from you would be if you made mancrusher gargants themed after each of the three different Orruks warclans
Love your videos and they inspire me to test my own conversion skills ❤️
I love your content! Though I'd still love to see if you'll make the other various God-Marked Chaos Chosen. I really want to see how you do Nurgle Chosen.
Thank you , Pete .
🐺
would love a Cadian to Steel Legion conversion!
First read the title and thought I saw "converting tallarn desert raiders I to cadian shock troops" and was very concerned
I eagerly await the Steel Legion conversion!
I would love to see the Tanith, I feel like shaving down the DKOK arms to remove the sleeves or transferring the las carbine to some bare arms, green stuff hood and cloak, and a good stiletto-style-knife holding hand would be a decently simple conversion, and freehanding some Tanith blue tattoos and some cloak camo would be very interesting to watch :)
Necromunda Brat gang would be a good theme for a video
I was invited to an Algerian wedding last summer and was super inspired by their traditionnal headwrap and ''cloaks'', I think they call it a ''burnous''. Since then I've been toying with the idea of kitbashing some guards or even skitariis to reach that aesthetic. My sculpting skills are very poor though and I don't want to ruin a bunch of perfectly good models.
Looking forward to some Vostroyan Firstborn, but please make it as over the top as You can. Those guys just deserve some love, and some bling.
another nice conversion, but i wonder... can you handle the Elysian drop troopers? ;)
I have always said GW could easily make multiple Guard regiments from the Cadian sprue. Just have several separate upgrade sprues, one with greatcoats, one with exposed arms and one with some over the top clothing.
Would love to see you tackle some vostroyan conversions.
Would love to see if you could do some Tanith out of the Cadians as well!
I'd love to see you try and do Catachan Jungle Fighters.
Thank you for including the painting of a late.
I’d love to see you do some Praetorians to use alongside Tallarn auxiliaries
I love your conversions! do you have any ideas on how to kitbash a feudal/medieval guardsmen?
wonderful!
Did you know, that there is a jetpack regiment for cadia? Can you next time please make a conversion video about them?
It would be cool to make an updated video on the Vostroyans, I know there was already a video made but with the new Astra set there are more possibilities.
I'd love to see a Roane Deepers build, from the Guant's Ghost series. They're my favorite obscure guardsman regiment, and I think they're a reasonably achievable conversion to do across an entire army. There's only 1 official piece of artwork for them, though.
When the command squad box comes out, you should recreate Al'Rahaim, the named character of the Talleran!
I know you did a Steel Legion 3rd party model conversion a few years back (which was great), but doing one for these new Astra Militarum minis would be most welcome! Especially considering it’s looking like we won’t get new Steel Legion minis for GW for a very long time, if ever.
LOOOOOOVE the Astra Militarum stuff coming out lately. Can't imagine doing a whole army of these dudes. My lazy butt will have to wait until Anvil or Victoria make a head swap compatible with the new models
Wonderful. Please do Praetorians next . :)
Would love to see some Mordian Iron Guard!
I feel like these new cadians could be converted to steel legion pretty well. Would love to see your take on that.
I’m planning on a desert guard and kinda went ahead with steel legion drab as the armour colour from gw then maybe this dragon fang /ushabiti bone
I would love to see some khorne converted astra militarum
I'd like to see a conversion guide for the old FW traitor guard
You should do a Finreht Highlander! I've been trying for years to convert a Krieg KT into them to minimal success 😭. But they look super cool and greenstuffing Kilts is no joke!
