I'm not gonna lie, I prefer this version of Peggy during interviews. He always has something interesting and worthwhile to talk about, but him being drunk sometimes takes away from the quality of the message.

Malibu. I'm too poor to actually do anything in that city but I take my girl out there pretty frequently. It's absolutely gorgeous. Even the little crappy apartment complexes have the most stunning ocean views because the city is really narrow so it's basically just one main street, a hillside and a long strip of beach.
Nardwuar getting excited like a kid to meet jpegmafia is so wholesome. I hope to have that level of enthusiasm for anything as I tack on more years.

This was one of the coolest interviews Nardwar's ever done with an artist. I mean, Peggy was definitely the nicest to nardwar and sheit. Such a mutual respect that the background fitted perfectly. Great interview, great human beings

he'll literally try as hard as he can, thats the kind of artist peggy is he takes it as a challenge i love that about him.
Its also got a lot to do with sample clearings. Sometimes it migjt not be worth it to them to try and clear with the estates. Maybe they send it to him personally instead of releasing it publicly

Went to an audio engineering school with Peggy in 2018 right before he really blew up. He came in one day like 2 weeks before the program was over and said he was going to LA for some shows. He never came back to school and the rest is history haha - love you Barry 💜

@@ericgcamargo it was a 6 month audio engineering program - we were basically learning how to record/mix full bands in a studio on an SSL console.

Peggy completely built himself from the ground up. When he was 25, he was still working multiple jobs and making no money from his music. Nardwuar also completely built this platform himself, so I think there’s the mutual respect that they each made it without needing others to lift them up.

I have a feeling it's because Nardwuar is one of the most respected interviewer in the industry. Half the comments on this video can keep saying "oh it's because he's sober", but a lot of interviews with artists can just be set up for press and revolve around the same questions every time, feeling pretty forced. Nardwuar takes the time to make sure the interview is in depth, which most artists can see it's a sign of respect that he would take the time to do this.
Watch his stream with Hasan he gets tired & probably high by the end but very fun energy for a while
Bruh Nardwuar is extremely underrated as a crate digger. I bet if you took him and like 9 of the top sampling producers and DJs like Premier, alchemist, shadow etc, and gave them a list of obscure records they have to go across the world to find, my money would be on nardwuar

Im so happy Peggy got to do this, I met him all the way back when Veteran dropped and he really is just a genuinely good dude who never expected to blow up the way he has, even though we all know his talent is on another planet. This new album with Danny Brown is just incredible. Both JPEG and Danny's production keeps getting better. Both have alway been amazing, but are getting better in all aspects

That Mort Garson record (Music from Patch Cord Productions) is so good! Solid gift, Nard. There's a sick tshirt out for it too. Same art as the album cover. Mort was a pioneer and an occultist, and that vibe really comes through in this album and in The Unexplained. What an amazing gift, I'm so glad jpeg enjoys it.
*I don't know what's more impressive. Nards continuous content, year by year..decade to decade....or his and his team's connections to get the gifts, that are often times, hard to get, but also sentimental and connected to those that are being interviewed. We love you, Nard.*

I wanted to give peggy some gifts (4 lps and a book) when he performed in Seattle this year, but sadly he looked pretty burned out and didn't stick around after the concert. I was able to indirectly give the gifts to the photographer on his team, but I don't know if peggy ever got them. Lowkey thought he might see them and think 'dawfuck is this trash?' and get rid of them. It's nice to see him visibly in better condition from when I saw him on tour, and I hope he takes care of his health. I'm crossing my fingers that he kept the stuff I wanted to give to him. Either way, he's my cornball of a hero
