      I served in the Navy and Army, as a leader in the Navy I saw myself as an ENTJ as I had more guts than the other aircraft mechanics although they were pretty gutsy for technicians. In the Army I was Infantry, I know the Infantry has a poor intelligence stereotype, but I believe there is a correlation between intelligence and a sense of adventure. In this group of people I presented myself as an INTJ, although I was aggressive I didn't have to be the loud one to get things done.

    I am an ENTJ, and my spouse is an INTJ. We've been the best of friends for over twenty years of marriage. We often share our new findings and learnings from various sources and never tire of it. Honesty is ingrained in both of us, and our approach to planning for the future is also the same. The major difference between us is that I enjoy spending time with people outside, while it quickly drains my spouse's energy. He feels best when he can stay home whenever he has the chance.

      It’s the desire to lead. INTJs cannot comprehend why you would want to lead, ENTJs can’t understand why you would want anything less. The INTJ doesn’t want to lead because they fear they would mess it up. ENTJs fear somebody will mess it up so they “have” to lead.

    I've always had great interactions with both types, depending on how I needed to act in certain situations. I have been lucky enough to have developed in such a way that I can sit right in the middle of both types, though also possessing high level deductive thinking as well, a quality typically reserved for Ti users. While I lean towards cognitive introversion (INTJ), I'm also well suited to social extraversion that allows me to act closer to ENTJ. This is also due to a relatively evenly developed Te with Ni, which may sometimes usurp my Ni, making me closer to ENTJ.
    Here's a pretty decent summary of how these two interact in my experience with reference to theory:
    The main thing I think INTJ lacks is impetus, the force to start on something. When things aren't perfect, INTJ will often get hung up on small details that, although they will actually have little effect, they believe can lead to failure. This is due to their repressed Si that likes to bring up their previous failures and is one of the biggest reasons for INXJ types' perfectionism. Better developed INTJs will often use Si to better improve their plans, eventually leading to better impetus and confidence down the line (inferior Se development). While INTJs can be reserved in many cases, when Ni has given a clear vision they often are more confident and outgoing since the path is relatively clear. Main problem with INTJ is they posses an Fe blindspot, often seeming cold, blunt, rude, and braizen. This is something that the outgoing ones attempt to work on, however, it is difficult for them do build this due to their own integrity. They have great penitence for being insincere.
    ENTJs are great at starting things. That's a massive difference between the two. Te dominants like to keep people moving to minimise wasted time. They tend to be much more proactive and able to start before a complete plan is made. They aren't perfectionists but due to an Si blindspot they may miss details that can make or break plans and cause them more work than was needed. They do, however, make up for this with their people skills, being able to intelligently manage and empathise with others for the sake of improving productivity. The further use of these skills will also help develop their inferior Fi. ENTJs being mostly outgoing allows them to be much better leaders more naturally, though the more reserved ENTJs tend to spend more time on contemplation and making sure that everything runs smoothly and without conflicts by leaning on Ni to determine the result of information that is unknown.

    I'm an INTJ with un-diagnosed adult ADHD, which through conditioning gives me ENTJ like tendencies. I hoard information and can go into a multi day/ week rabbit hole, then simply move on to the next subject. I've always excelled in sales/ marketing so people think I'm a people person, but in reality, my I prefer to be secluded within my own thoughts and ponder. I do not seek to become the direct leader within a power structure, I would be more comfortable as a consultant vs. a direct leader. I understand that 'Leaders' always have a target on their back, and I cannot stand the social politics that comes with that. Nor do I have the emotional/ mental capacity to keep up with an image. I'm more Tom Hagen than Michael Corleone. I would rather mastermind and see 4 steps ahead, then to be the face of something powerful.

    Your analysis is pretty accurate I think.
    Speaking for myself. I was born an entj. Then through childhood became an intj. And after that a went back and forth between E and I. I am late middle age and I find that I can apply the E and the I at will. My greatest challenge? Accepting that I am the odd one out, but now I know that I am the one who gets things done, who always (!) achieves her goals. I seem to be at my best when the rest of the world is in crisis and panicking. And yes, most of the time (my life) I have been single or ‘alone in a marriage’. My girlfriends find that that should not be, but I honestly don’t mind. It is either all or nothing, when it is about romantic relationships. For me, 100% honesty and (oke a bit less) 90% commitment, or it is a no go.

    The salient distinguishable difference between the two have to do with psychodynamic temperaments in social engagements aka extroversion. In personality theory, extroversion is the interest and drive to partake with the “group” due to innate desires and shared interests with the whole. ENTJs exhibit high extroverted tendencies where in which their desire to partake in social settings and activities is natural and relatable to them, giving them the overall ability to socialize however detached they may be. An INTJ does not share such psychopyramidal traits of extraversion and does not desire to be part of the group. In fact the INTJ has an inability to be part of the group and finds social contexts innately undesirable. While both types are great problem solvers and intelligent, they function very differently. An INTJ has to fake it when in social situations and an ENTJ feels lost without people and social activities.
    E.g. An ENTJs experience and understanding about cultural trends and issue is vastly superior to that of the INTJs. While the INTJs existential/metaphysical and overall individualistic/ introverted ability to engage successfully with their environment is vastly superior to the ENTJs .

      @noodlesthedragonite7512 Před rokem +11

      @@andrebruce2371 Rogue Alchemist is acting somewhat childish I agree, but I do understand why he is angry. Sparks comprehension of what an INTJ truly is is abysmal to say the least. Labeling us as "lazier versions of ENTJs" implying we are not as good. I can tell you right now that us INTJs may well be lesser or greater than you in certain circumstances, but you will never know, especially not acting like you have been here @Sparks, INTJs keep everything hidden from the outside world and others. There is so much in our minds that we keep hidden from those we deem unworthy (which is most people). In our heads is a rich inner world consisting of much more than you give us credit for. Additionally, I'd like to refute your point about social skill. It is true that we struggle in social situations, however, this weakness is typically only among younger, immature INTJs. The older, more mature, and hopefully wiser INTJs adapt quite well around their flaws and environment. I myself am an INTJ with remarkable social skills, I gurantee you the people I interact with on a day to day basis woud have no clue I am an INTJ. Many INTJs adapt in this way creating an exaggerated socialable personality that they can manifest on queue when necessary, although it is admittedly draining. Also I might add that what you see as procrastination and laziness from your perspective, we see as valuable planning time to actualize the best possible outcome. We see your methods as rash and lacking thorough forethought. Which one of us is correct depends on the situation. The fact that you insist that your type is superior to ours saddens me because I believe that we can learn something valuable from one and other. If the relationship is apporached correctly I believe we can even be great partners in crime.

    • @anonimowelwiatko9811
      @anonimowelwiatko9811 Před rokem +6

      ASS KISSERS? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Dude, I will literally never, ever say anything I don't think. One of our main traits I believe is painful honesty. This is also why we are not good with people. We can't lie. We can act and hide our intents with sarcasm, showing how we feel or what we think about you using face expression or keep fake poker face. Our eyes are usually reflection of our soul so the most observant with good instincts will be able to understand what we really think or how we feel.
      Other than honesty, we tend to go against the rules and social authority/norms, treating superiors just the same as anyone else. Sometimes even below us if we don't see their competence or know that their values stand against what we believe in. We follow rules we believe that are natural for everyone to follow, as we think that this is how it should be. Our instincts are telling us when some order is natural and when something is wrong. If we won't commit to follow rules we find reasonable, we will feel guilty.
      We have extremally high expectations of ourselves and ambitions. We literally know what we want our future to look like. We want efficiency so we are looking for the best way to achieve what we want. We also are perfectionists so we might struggle with accepting something we know that is not the best way to achieve our goals and we might spend a lot of time looking for better answer, trying it out, comparing, thinking about improvements. Endless repetition and adjustments till we tick getting brilliant "Eureka!" moment and then we always do this thing certain way. We usually are looking in many different directions to check what is the most natural/intuitive with us so we are internally true with ourselves.
      As for people, we also tend see the best in people or their potential. At least when we get to know them better which we rarely do because we are not interested. It's hard to meet us because outside, we are overstimulated by noise and unfamiliar places. We need to get in tune with place, add it to our routine to accept it's novelty and then we can be part of this new environment. Well, it won't work with crowds though. Like, never. So concerts, nightclubs are usually off limits. Maybe once in a while. If our more extravert friend will somehow manage to sell us this idea or kidnaps us. Then we will need to not go out of our room for about a week to recharge from this overstimulating, loud, suffocating place.
