I just rode my new Z500 home from the dealer. It has 38 miles on it right now. It is a lot more powerful than I expected. I moved down from a V Strom 650. I expected it to be slower. It feels faster. The only thing I dont like so far is that the mirrors vibrate too much. They see around my arm ok, but they vibrate quite a bit more than I am used to.

Man for Dallas and Houston, this is a really good street bike. I ended up going with a 2023 Husqvarna Vitpilen because it just looks so cool. I wanted a small bike again and I am glad we have so many options now.

Our emissions are less strict. Also no power to weight ratio restrictions like the uk. Unfortunately the EU overall seems to be a bigger market for certain bikes and because of that you guys get more color and fairing options
Great video, I own a z125 and I’m getting tired of the slow speed. This seems like a great upgrade. I’m sure you’ve ridden the little 125 how much more smooth would you say this is compared to that?
Manufacturers love parallel twins now. Nothing wrong with them but when everyone is doing it, it gets boring. Bring back the racy vtwins from the 90s-2000s.

I got my Z500 se 5 days ago, and just hit 500 miles. The seat hurt my but, when riding for a few hours. I'm in great shade for 60 years old, so it could be I'm not a fat ass....lol
Hate to say it but…maybe get an old 250 to ride for a summer in your neighborhood streets. Then next year you can get the Z500. That is not a beginner bike. That’s the only thing I will disagree with about this video.

Ray, I've been trying to get a hold of the information for the Suzuki Boulevard C50 motorcycle. It's a little daunting, but, I did get the information on it. I like the "touring" 😢package on the bike. 🏍️ There are both Honda & Kawasaki bikes I think will get heavy consideration though. If I can be in Plano Texas when I can make the purchase, I will be looking for you to be my sales guy. Doug🏍️🐻

Ray I just watched your review, I’m looking the Kawasaki Z500 for my 1st bike. Watching your review I’m concerned how many times you mentioned the front wheel wanting to come off the ground. Should I try to find a Z400 instead?
If the SE was green highlights… I’d roll it out of the stealership. Oh well, I can just mod up a base model easier and cheaper than repainting the SE and removing a couple things on it I wouldn’t use.

But I dunno seems harder to get the led lights, the usb c, the frame sliders and ofc the TFT instrumentation panel, than leaving the paint as it is and "liking" a red kawazaki, or painting it and getting a passenger sit man. The worst part is that in europe they had both colors, red and green. In fact, Im thinking I should go for the zx4rr but I like naked better, and I think is too much of a motor for a first bike.
