- This week, Ralph discusses the trend of "accentuating the positive" when preaching the Gospel, something which often ends up distorting the Gospel. The Gospel is immensely positive - it offers us salvation! - but it also inspires awe when we contemplate the consequences for those who reject it. As St. Paul says in the Epistle to the Romans: we must "consider both the kindness and the severity of God" if we wish to preach the "full Gospel".

Thank you, Ralph. I thank you for going back to the basics of our faith. We are so driven out of the vinyard by the world of the evil one. Confession is difficult because we don't know where to start. I think of paradise and how far we are straying. We kill Jesus every day with our sins. Peace to you my brother.

We are stewards of His Word
The Gospel message is a joyful one but also a very serious one. Life is serious business and if we choose not to repent and let God free us from the slavery of sin, we will not be with God in the next life. Too many people are living as if this is the only life we'll ever live. Christians don't believe in YOLO because Christ Himself didn't.
