For instance, a new statement from the president of Square Enix strongly suggests that Xbox players will no longer be left behind on future Final Fantasy game releases - or any other game Square Enix makes. 19:57 Bayonetta 2 is a completely different case than your other examples. The Bayonetta franchise would've been dead after the first game without Nintendo. Sega owns the IP but wasn't interested in financing a new game. Platinum went to Sony and Xbox, among other publishers, and none of them were interested in picking up the mantle. Only Nintendo did, and they've been the only bankroller for the IP since then.
Yeah that was a weird thing because it was the same for Street fighter 5. That game might not exist without PlayStations help.
There wouldn't be Bayonetta 2, 3 and Origins if it wasn't for Nintendo, so that comparison is kinda dumb

10:00 one thing to consider is that they bundled part 1 of FF7 with Rebirth during the pre-order window. Wishful thinking they would do something similar on Xbox, but maybe pricing like Kingdom Hearts bundles they've released in two parts?
Once the trilogy is done, yes, after whatever 3-12 month window Sony has on the last installment.

Square should’ve released console exclusives on PC at launch, it would’ve helped them significantly. That goes for the insane amount of exclusives on Nintendo that Square releases every year…

Capcom dont care at all. They release their games everywhere. Go look at their networth compare to enix.
Capcom has stronger franchises than Square Enix. Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Devil May Cry are all super popular. Final Fantasy is popular but it’s still niche in a way, and that’s really all Square Enix has.

Regarding the question in the title, it is more important to the smallest group of gamers within' the smallest group of console owners than it is to Xbox than it is to Microsoft.
TL;DR: If you thought the sales of Final Fantasy 13 and 15 were bad on Xbox, expect even worse in the future if it were to happen. I'm not saying there is a chance, don't get your hope up.

To me this is the biggest reason exclusives are struggling as well as new games getting canceled or two weeks after they come out interest drops dramatically. So much of gamer's time is being taken up by a handful of games

There would be zero distinction between the consoles. If anything All games should be on PC, but let the consoles still have their exclusives to console.

What would be the purpose of owning all systems if all the games are released on all systems wouldn't you just purchase one system.
If there were no consoles, then the price of entry for gaming would go up. The reason consoles are much cheaper than gaming PCs is because the console maker sells the hardware at a loss and makes up that loss through first-party software sales, third party license fees for the right to make games for the closed-platform hardware, and subscription services. Without all that extra revenue coming in, a game console would cost as much as a PC. That's why console exclusives are important, because without them, your PS5 or Xbox Series X wouldn't cost $400-500; they'd be much higher in price.

if Exclusives arent working doesn't that mean EVENTUALLY all console games as a whole will all go to PC and making consoles as a business is pointless
Notice how anyone who says that exclusives don't work completely ignores the fact that Nintendo's Switch won this gen, beating both the PS5 (now projected to sell fewer units than the PS4) and Xbox Series X/S (which has been tanking for the past few months). Can you play Nintendo's games on any other platform? No. And that's why Nintendo is winning.
But yeah, if Sony starts releasing their first-party games day one on PC, then eventually the market will be PC vs a Nintendo console.
