Hi Mr Tatro, Can you please tell me one thing. Does every XLH/XLCH with kick only (like this one) have same problem with starting by kick? I mean, as I can see it takes time and many tries to start it. I asking, because I bought my 1963 XLH and it's really hard to start. I literally spend like 20-30 minutes to start it. I don't nave any noises in engine and checked already all what outside of engine that may cause this "hard start". Spark plugs, wires, coil, circuit breaker, adjusted timing and valves, have tryed 4 different carbs (super e shorty, super b, super e replika from china, cv keihen) and the problem still on. Maybe you can tell me any advice. The picture of my start is absolutely the same like on this video. Best regards, J
its all about the tuning of the motor and how you kick it. every motor wants different things. its up to you to give it what it wants. this bike was under water from a flood and had been sitting for years because the motor needs a rebuild. all of this made it very hard to start the bike. if the rings are not sealing there is no pull on the carb to suck the gas in. same deal on ait leaks. its all about the details on finding the tune your motor needs. when you get it right the bike will start right up with one to three kicks everytime. tatro
Great bike Tatro and is that your darling little girl?? She is a cutie and definitely lightened up the atmosphere in the testosterone infested garage. Lol
Great to watch a true mechanic at work, nothing beats knowledge & experience, lovely looking Sportster 👍👍😎
Can't say it generally for HD(R) motorcycles design, but this one has great proportions, slim and beautiful...
Clean original bike.
Still riding a 98 ultra flood bike and it was in ocean 3 days hurricane sandy here on east coast.... 3000 bikes were in copart flood.
Something special about a bike that hasn't been destroyed by asshole modifications.
Yup...all that is needed is to snip off the extra sheet metal someone stuck on the fenders
Scoobie gonna piss on it. Lol
One of my dogs pisses on my 'Dyna with the laced wheels all the time. Never on the other two with cast wheels. Weird.
Future biker
Scooby is smart enough not to pee on a bike at a motorcycle shop.
