    Dear Aden! In my company, we are making very simple glue, made of potato starch and hot water. By using a brush, we cover styrofoam with that glue and stick normal aluminium foil (its cheaper than self-adhesive foil) After that, when you want take styrofoam out, you don't have to dig it with tools :) it goes out by itself but aluminium foil will stay on laminate and it is easy to remove by air gun. Best regards, Lukasz.

    As a long-time subscriber, I've seen you chaps fabricate some huge items; but this one definitely dwarfs your workshop..!
    As someone that produces bespoke and costly items for clients, I know only too well how much work and love goes into every project. Nice work again peeps!!
    I should have some spare time in the coming months - might just have to PM you guys to arrange a visit..!?

      I mean, it's been over 10 years now. So you let me know when you think an explosion is coming 😂 it's been a steady, steady slow climb over the course of a decade so far lol. I don't know what needs to happen to make that happen. But thank you

    Another great project, simple but massive in size. Deadlines - interesting they plan the events months and years ahead but never allow enough time to create the Artwork.

      And sometimes customers make a quotation and ask for realisation time. You say: 4 months, gives the price and quiet. After 3 months they coming back and want to start making project and finish in 1 month 🙈

    Maybe you answered this question a gazillion times, but I haven't seen a reply if so. Where do you buy your styrofoam? Or, maybe a better question is, what do I type into a search engine? Awesome work! Thank you.

    Another most triumphant project my friends. You know I always try to ask a question or two on your vids. 1st is when you guys choose to apply a cement mortar over some of your tree projects to tool in the bark texture do you apply that right over the gelcoat or glass fiber or do you apply some kind of adhesive layer first. 2nd question has to do with mold making, what do you do to prevent the 1st gelcoat layer from running down into the cut lines your dividers are in that separate the mold parts. I used a razor blade and inserted the plastic dividers but I noticed the gelcoat got in there and melted and changed the shape a little. do you paint or something any suggestions? Thanks again

    Hey. How efficient is the foam compared to let's say paper mache?

    • @AdenHynesSculptureStudios
      @AdenHynesSculptureStudios  Před rokem

      What would you put the paper mache on?..

    • @maodo-ma-Ngai

      @@AdenHynesSculptureStudios a wire mesh wrapped in something that would allow the mache to stick on.

    • @maodo-ma-Ngai
      @maodo-ma-Ngai Před rokem

      For portability I really think the foam is ideal but the mache has this almost natural feel, manipulatig it seems to produce a more natural looking tree compared to foam.

    • @AdenHynesSculptureStudios
      @AdenHynesSculptureStudios  Před rokem +1

      @@maodo-ma-Ngai I'm just checking that you watched the entire project? The final sculpture doesn't include any foam, but is made solely of glass fibre and resin. The polystyrene foam carving is just to get the overall shape.
      The sculpture is designed to break down into multiple sections, and so is made from glass fibre that can bolt together. I'm not sure where a paper mache would come into play in terms of the creation of this, as, not only would paper mache be particularly weak, but there needs to be a smooth finish on the tree for cleaning, and for health and safety.

      Thank you for being patient with me. No I hadn't watched the entire video I got roughly the 18th minute and skipped till the ends. Thought it was foam all the way. Makes sense now that I've watched it.
      I bet you must be busy but if you find some time I'd love to send you a direct message. I'm building a tree but much smaller and really weighing my options for whats best overall.

    I love your videos so much. They spark imagination and creativity. Now the one question I have is, how do you clean up the styrofoam shavings? I’ve done little projects and oh my goodness, it’s the worst it sticks to everything! So I guess this is a drawn out way of saying, I respect the cleanup and know it is no small task!🧹😅

    It is a really good work, it is creativity without limits, I need to know the materials, for example, the type of foam and thickness and what is the material to be placed immediately after sculpting and what is the material for stitching places and the type of sanding, paint and fiberglass in protest to know all materials and proportions Is it possible and do you have a WhatsApp number to contact
