dont underestimate trinidad. yes it is a small island but isnt that small that you can go around it in a day. i lived in trinidad for nine years and in all that time i never ever went to that beach which is all the way on the south coast and i lived in barataria which is in the north of the island. the drive is very long i can assure you of that. to be honest it is not really a very nice beach. the only beach to the south that is worth going to in my opinion is cedros, spent two easter weekends down there and it took us all day to drive there. cedros is the only decent beach down south. best beaches to the north facing caribbean sea. maracas bay, tyrico bay and las cuevas bay i call them the holy trinity of beaches.

partner lets be honest its not really a nice beach. the only decent beach down south is cedros and cedros in my opinion is just ok nothing great. all the best beaches up north coast facing the caribbean sea. the reason also why its so rough down there is not because of high tide but because of THE ORINOCO RIVER in venezuela. when that river have plenty rainfall and it come down to the sea opposite trinidad it does cause rip tides and dangerous currents to trinidad.that river is no caroni river it is so wide you cannot see the opposite side of the river from one side.
