- Riding is fun. Racing should be fun. But it’s hard to remember that when focusing on wins and watts, podiums and purses. It becomes exhausting. So there’s a new breed of professional athletes choosing to transition away from the status quo. And though they possess the racing pedigree of their peers, they want to experience the joy of racing again. They’re forging a new Frontier in professional sport. With fresh legs, they’ll define success differently and apply a savvy entrepreneurial spirit to build a career on their terms. One based on performance, and most importantly, fun.
In this episode, we connect with Pete Stetina about transitioning into gravel racing from the World Tour Road Racing scene. Pete won Belgian Waffle Ride last year and it was a sort of switch for him that this could be a real possibility for him. One that brought him back to his roots of why he rides his bike and what motivates him to get out every day.
Subscribe the Wahoo channel for the next episodes with new gravel converts Ian Boswell and Heather Jackson.

"I want to win all the races, I want to ruin all the gravel." I reads one way and the video shows Petes real attitude towards his words. It's great. Go forth and set the bar high. We will all be chasing in our own gravel way. Just don't drink all the finish-line IPA before we get there.
He'd seen the World Tour carousel for years and realised that there had to something more to his passion for bike riding. Gravel was coming up in the hearts and minds of the cycling world (as well as commercialism and those big brands) and he made a clever switch at a good time. Wish him well.
Gravel is the new trail running!
Another pro edit from Ansel Dickey. Keep them coming, man!
Much better episode than the first one of the series. I actually loved this one.

Great vid but what is with the camo clothing? How hard do we want to make it for undercarbed prozac fueled drivers to see us?
Anyone knows if they use spike tires om the snow?
A
what kind and size of tires are you using?
The real question is whether he descended Flagstaff after all that.
What's the point of the Stetina double handlebar?

I like pete’s mustache and beard.. like KFC
Not all mustaches are created equal.
What tyres is he running in the snow and ice???
Those are normal gravel IRC gravel tires without studs. The snow was pretty grippy this day.
What's that thing on his head?
A clif bar.
3:36 No gloves!!!!
Tried watching couldn’t do it after seeing his facial hair sorry.
And those handlebars are an abomination.
