Based on the frame from our old Cybertruck replica, but the entire rest of the structure and the body panels are made of a hard sort of wood.

The G54 team could even make a sauna inside the wooden Mercedes wagon so the woodworkers can stay warm in the winter, as saunas are made of wood. Top Gear made a sauna inside a car in one episode from the 2000s that I watched in 2013 or so.

@@7he4040 Last Tesla I seen I was able to stick the entirety of my index finger between the front fender panels. It was brand new, with less then 20 miles on it.

Personally, I think it looks better than the original. The original is just a big black characterless menacing shadow. The wooden one is more visible and has a definite character to it!

This is a very cool idea because you could find a totaled out G-Wagon would just the engine computer in frame still intact remove the body and build a wooden replica over it and you could have a G-Wagon for a pretty fair price but then you could make the interior however you wanted it and you could build one very nice overlanding vehicle that you would be able to cut and add on to at any point just like a house!

you can use boat paint and it would actually last decades
busses were built this way in my country decades ago, the coachbuilders were the same person making yachts and boats so the construction was pretty much the same. a lot of cars were built from pickup trucks with the rear end made from wood because the import tax of commercial vehicles was cheaper.
nowadays steel is cheaper because it can be stamped and mass produced, but decades ago when it was all handmade, wood was a lot cheaper.

You should make a video putting a really good top quality paint job on this if that is something you guys can do to see how much you could really fool people and I think you guys should also do some more wooden replicas that would be very cool content to see what vehicles you guys can copy
