Best list of problems I've ever heard. Basically nothing really wrong with this bike :)
Nothing 🤣
There are rear baggage racks available for these that are very practical and don't lookout of place. The horn button is an issue on many bikes, I have a Suzuki Gladius with the same problem but you soon get used to it.
Thank you ☺️
Bits where the engine sticks out, the ignition and the steering lock are all the same as the Rebel which shares the same engine and main body.
That cover for the clutch is always getting in the way but at least I'm not burning my feet
Cheers for watching. I should try the rebel, would be interesting to compare the riding positions with the CL.
I agree in regards with the clutch guards I especially love them when it’s something I don’t have to source, pay for and fit myself.
What about the throttling problem RevZilla are talking in their scl500 review (at 12th minute mark)?
I didn’t notice a single problem with the throttle
I own a CL500, I use a waterproof roll bag that straps directly to the saddle itself. You don't need a luggage rack. Works great as a back rest for long rides as well 😂😂
Nice one makes sense
I love the side luggage! I did myself with a Blauer waterproof bag and I find it very cool and suitable😎
Excellent! That must looks great 😊 nice work
I put a 30 litre bag on the seat and strap it. No worries whatsoever. Could be an issue with a very large overhanging bag I guess, but in what situation would you need say 60+ l with that bike. There are also good after market rear racks if you really need it.
Thank you, all helpful. Funny Honda put that sticker on the back… they’re probably just covering themselves. You can do what you like in reality and seems to work fine 👍
Spoked wheels are available, from Kspeed Thailand, they are tubeless too
Didn’t know that. Thank you
One of the most annoying things I’ve noticed is the exhaust pipe keeps switching sides! 0:27
lol does happen with these bikes
In sunny weather the display is utterly useless. Fine when the sun is behind you but otherwise invisible. Fine at night. Would love to have an analogue display on this bike - love it otherwise. Might just mention the small tank (12Litres) but phenomenal mileage (85mpg UK) so range not bad. Would have liked a centre stand but paddock stand makes maintainance much easier
Thank you. I didn’t think about the small tank
Is it hard to reverse the image when using the front camera?
Definitely need to look into it
Turns out not difficult at all. Just a symptom of having a brand new phone. I appreciate you bringing this simple issue to my attention. Should have thought of it myself 😂
Nice! Its annoying seeing your exhaust move from the right to the left side.
To be honest, it coloured my whole view of your video. Probably says more about me than you!
@steveslater2260 definitely a silly error on my part. Onwards and upwards! 😊
what about display? Is it readable in bright weater?
Yes I had no problems
No Its not . The display is useless and needs addressing.
yes you can read it but definitely not easy to read
Get a good backpack guys. The saddle bag has been sold out forever here in the states. Get a good backpack and then it's fine.
I drive an nc750x and the layout of the indicators and the horn are worse. The horn is just where your thumb naturally goes. I think they have solved it better now on the cl.
I guess it could be said the the horn placement on the CL is actually a feature not a bug. And its more accessible, making the bike safer on busy roads
@@FabMotorbikes I think they could have placed the horn below the blinkers.
If anyone has modded this with a lower exhaust so it could have twin panniers I'd be interested. It has same switchgear as CB500F, and I've hit the horn a few times unintentionally
I wonder what is the experience of passenger riding with you with that big exhaust right there
Great point. Right next to their hand
Cut that horn button down a bit with a dremel but the keying arrangement is really dumb. Both locks are exposed to mud and grit splashes while main one could even get knocked. The wheels are great, leave them alone.
Cheers . All good points 👍
The steeting lock being on the other side is just weird and would likely annoy me
It is odd
Your camera's wrong when front facing. Never had any of the problems you mention.
Yep camera problem was a silly mistake by me
I have this bike never hit the horn when using my indicators myself😊
Thank you ☺️ help file to hear from some one who owns it longer term. 👍
Luggage = It's not the only option if you simply add a rack .
True. Rack and top box works. Just odd I guess they “recommend” not putting a bag over the seat. Not a massive deal though
In my opinion, this video is total nonsense. I have now ridden almost 5000 km with my CL-500, and not one point you have listed is significant or annoying. 👎
As I mention after every point …
What about the display? Is it readable in bright weater?
@captionit8736 worked fine for me in the conditions I had when testing
K-speed offer spoked tubeless rims for this bike
Nice one 👍
