probably one of the scammier sponsors you've done - but i respect that you need to make money. (i feel its probably scammy cause general vibes but also these apps usually take all kinds of personal data, thats how they're able to give you money)
I've been a Mistplay fan for a while so I was like "... oh WAIT I DIDN'T THINK OF THAT" (the taking a bunch of personal data thing) so I checked and on my Android phone it asks for Camera and Location and apparently it's been working for me without me granting permission to those. That's on the app info screen, dunno if there's anything I'm missing...?
But yeah I think the games just pay them to be promoted. And so a lot of the games are ones that are full of ads but enough aren't that I've found plenty to play and I have gotten google play credit from them.

Let me explain: You know all those scams that get people to buy gift cards to pay for their computer "to be fixed" or whatever, well what actually happens is that those gift cards are then sold on at a fraction of the price of their face value. Now I'm not saying that mistplay buy their gift cards from the websites that sell gift cards like this, and buying these gift cards isn't illegal (I think...) but I always wondered why they payout gift cards and not just actual money. I mean it only makes sense if you get the gift cards for a reduced price right?
I dunno, I'd just never feel comfortable with it thinking that there's a chance that the gift card only exists because someone's granny was scammed

Wow, Karen. You always put out high quality videos. But this video feels extra special. The amount of work you put in the background, your outfits, the camera-angles (I can imagine that's its own thing with mirrored surfaces), the lighting, the editing, the music, the storytelling and the ending... is pure magic. Of course it's something to solve a puzzle like this itself. But you made the video as an piece of art even better.

Yes. I was around when the puzzle was released (age 20). That was also in the time period when Transcendental Meditation (introduced by the Indian spiritualist, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi) was hugely popular.
I forgot about TM. The 70s were an awesome time to grow up in
I suspect it also had to do quite a bit with what was going on world wide and the late 60s, from what I was told, had a decent amount of "reflection" with a bit of drug help.
OMG Karen, this may be my all-time favorite video from you! You've really outdone yourself. First of all, the videography was gorgeous. It was a beautiful puzzle and you filmed it beautifully. (My favorite part was actually the shots in the dark!) Second, I was really digging the music. It was actually kind of lulling me to sleep (in a good way 😆). And finally, that ending joke was just perfect. Well done!
To see you having so much fun solving a solid colored puzzle 😅...when I think about your video solving the Ravensburger Krypt puzzle the first time (your first solid coloured puzzle) and how much agony you felt, haha! I generally like your videos - the right amount of quirky geek humour, quality video-editing and love for the art of jigsaws. In this one you absolutily nailed it. It must have been quite the effort to set the stage (mirror surfaces all around and coloured lighting).
BTW: the description on the box definitely fits the time-period of late 60s, early 70s :p

Awesome video, Karen! I have to wonder which lighting (or darkness) was your favorite from a puzzling perspective. The purple Karen working on a greenish/blueish puzzle was especially pleasing to my eye (20-end of solve). The pickup section was also so pretty :)
