My Mom grew up on the east coast and would talk about carnivals and fun houses. Glad to see that they are being preserved. So nice to see you and Taco take a day off to just have fun!
My cousin and I, she has Cerebral Palsy got on one of those slides. Her leg shot out, having no control, and stuck on the side of the slide. Thought I broke her leg. She was fine and loved it. She was not suppose to live past 12. She is over 40 now. Thanks for the memory.

Renee so many of your videos bring me back to my childhood but none more than this one. I was doing great until the end with the music and the picnic basket then it just got me. We had a place like this close by when I was very young and my mother would pack a lunch and take me and my sister for the day. On the way home we would stop for coney dogs and root beer. It made me realize I don't think about my mother as much as I should but I miss her and I miss times like that so much. Wouldn't it be great to just be a little kid forever?

It is a beloved place by many that grew up in this area. The park has gone through much over the years, but this re-opening of the Funhouse is a big win for them!

I couldn’t stop smiling through this entire video. This brought back so many memories. We had a similar funhouse in Ontario Canada we would go to. It was something every summer we looked forward to going too. Unfortunately, like many attractions they were deemed not safe by Canadian standards. We lost a lot of great wooden play attractions due to that law. It’s great to see you Renee and Taco stacks laugh and play!
Grew up going there too. The Funhouse being my all time fave ride. Skated there all the time too! My dad remembers swimming in the spring fed pool. So many memories there ❤️
My friends always had their birthday parties at the rink. My most vivid memory from skating was the ladies' bathroom floor that sloped down, awful for those of us bad at skating! But a fun memory looking back!

And yes, I totally remember the slant in the bathroom! I did get to go skating a couple years ago there when they had the grand re-opening. Was a blast!

The skating rink is open! I wish I was even an OK skater because I would love to spend a few hours each week skating, but my coordination (or fear of falling!) holds me back. I hope that the memories of your daughter bring some comfort to you, you are thought of!

OK, I really enjoyed that - and it's been a hectic day so perfect timing! The history at the end added another dimension - it had monkeys at one time? Too bad that rolling dog wasn't working. Watching you enjoying the walk up the rickety stairs into that big room made me wonder if your passion for house clean outs has something to do with that funhouse. And sliding down that huge slide into the "garbage bag" at the bottom. . . well, who can say?
My parents back in the 60s used to take us for kids to the fun House in Hayward California. It has a big slide except I think four people could go all at once and then they had a smaller slide. The mirrors were always fun and I remember having to walk through these bumper things twirled around and rickety steps but the one ride I was never allowed on was since the middle of this Big huge wheel platform and it would start spinning faster and faster to the point the people in the middle which may be fit for maybe five I don’t remember exactly would be thrown out against the wall. Now they somebody with Sue but it was lots of fun and of course it’s not there anymore but you can find it on CZcams.

This park had a few other rides that I loved, such as a "dark" haunted ride, basically you rode in a cart in a pitch-black building. Sadly, because of several floods and time, that ride no longer exists. Going back to the funhouse for just a few minutes was a great "adventure" back to my childhood!
