Picking Up our Roof Top Tinny for the Y62 Patrol - Lap of Australia Preparation!

In this episode we finally locked eyes with our Roof Top Tinny for our y62 nissan patrol.
Some of you may not know but the Nissan Patrols have a roof weight limit of 100kgs, so finding a roof rack system and also a boat was a mission. Although after a lot of research and a lot of help from Brisbane Yamaha we found our dream Tinny Boat to experience all our travels with.
This was such a crucial part of our travels, we wanted to be able to experience not only the land but the river and ocean systems around the land.
I can’t wait to see this tinny experience all of australia with us.

Yes BLUE loctite. You can use Red but be a bugger getting them off if you ever need to remove or upgrade your racks.
I am going to take the racks off and locktie them again
Loctite everything mate. You’ll come across corrugations and without loctite every bolt will loosen. GOD BLESS 🙏

It's a ventilated system in the toilet, it's easily set up. It stops smells. Just google it

Hey Bro that Garmin you have on your boat has SideVu/SideScan on it. That feature is of the best and easiest ways to scan for barramundi watch some videos on how to use it and you’ll be getting a big barra in no time 🎣🎣

When you hit the corrugations bolts rattle loose. Some LOCTITE 243 medium strength blue ide be using

Curious when Alex dumped the cassete at dump point, did you press the small button on your cassette which also air to go into cassette and the liquid to flow out quicker and safer?

The water gauge are not accurate install torpagee water gauge it gives you an accurate water usage in litres that way you know how much exactly is left in the tank

Yeah i wouldnt be comfortable using straps only to hold the boat to the racks.

There are different types of loctite, blue can be undone, Red isn't coming undone ever. Silicone spray is evil, bit of soapy water for lube but spray the metal not the plastic 👍

As far as I'm aware, the V8 in your Patrol was used by Nissan in their touring cars. It's a tough engine.
As if use set off around Oz with out wiki camps 😂 try hipcamp too. And get towing mirrors u need them and legally need them. Qld is hot try not to leave the dog in the car too long hey... poor pup. I hope the boat holds to capacity, clearly trailer and motor will be elsewhere yer? Use will learn alot on the road. Other then that enjoy it 🎉
