Great video! I loved it. I think this is the only video on CZcams that explains the Surround Speakers 700 so well and in great detail. I have a Bose Soundbar 500 and Bass Module 500 with which I hooked up the Surround Speakers 700 and I must say that they go very well with the setup. I was initially skeptical to splurge on Surround 700 but after listening to them, I think it was worth.

I Never Leave comments , but sitting here listening to my Bose 700 Soundbar with the Bose Surround Speakers 700 and Bose 700 Base Module I just have to post to say how fantastic this is, it’s not cheap, but trust me when I say you will not be disappointed, it is simply amazing! It brings a whole new dimension to movies as you are immersed in sound, the sound quality is simply awesome. Even listening to music through Tidal immerses you in a sound which I’ve yet to match. I have Klipsch, Naim Audio, Sonos and Apple speakers around the house but the Bose setup just blows my mind every time and brings a smile to my face every time and takes me to a very relaxing place when chilling with tunes.
Just buy this setup, you will never regret it!!

Well after watching your videos I'm definitely buying Bose instead of the Arc . I don't have the cash to buy everything right now but I will start with the 700 surround speakers I'll keep them in my room till I buy the sound bar 700 for the living room. Once again thank you for the info & your help

Finally got them! Just came to say thank you dude!!! They just make the setup brilliant. They don’t sound much, but they just add the last touch to the sound that make the setup amazing. When you reproduce Dolby it’s an other level. The experience now with my 700 setup it’s just brilliant. Definitely a great improvement. Thanks for the recommendation 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Bose was kind enough to include the floor stand with it for a better price in store. You can only get this offer in store I believe at that time. Anyways I cant thank enough for taken the time to make us make an informed purchase decision. Man, you are doing amazing job here and I commend you for your helping someone like me. My advise : if you have the old model, I would suggest still go for this speakers for the sound. Have you tried the invisible wireless 300 with bose 900 soundbar before you have purchased the the wireless 700? Just try to check before I do the upgrade

So after this review decided to splash out on the 700 rear speakers and the omnijewel stands for them to go with my 700 bar and 500 sub. 10min to setup stands and speakers, the sound is fantastic much better than I expected. Expensive setup but if you like me and rather buy a UHD Dvd than go to the pub they worth every euro. 👍

I recommend doing a complete master reset of you system and following my Setup video instructions. If the pro still occurs after that you will know its a hardware problem and not a software. Then In that case call Bose for a warranty repair.

I've the soundbar 700 with module bass 700 and a couple of days ago i've ordered the old rear speakers "invisible 300" since i didn't know of the new ones.
I'm still in time to change the order but i'm trying to realize if the gap in cost (€ 299 vs € 549) justify the new surround speakers 700 and I need an help to sort it out... from you of course :)
The rear speakers will be placed behind the sofa, attached to the wall (the cables will come out from it), at 1,3 mt. high.
Could this position be a limit to enhance the "360°" potential of the new surround speakers 700?

Thank you so much for watching and subscribing I'm thankful for your support 😇🙏 Great question first let me say they bolth add new level of enjoyment and will complete the system to a 5.1 Dolby Digital system now to be clear the new 700 speakers are definitely better it definitely make the overall system sound better but if they're going to be flat against the wall definitely get the virtually invisible speakers if you can add a little Shelf a gives at least a 6 to 12 inch gap between the speaker and the back wall then go for the 700 obviously the cost difference is really substantial if you think about it so that is kind of a decision I can't answer for you. I can say I feel for me personally it was worth the money based off of the performance if you do decide to use the virtually invisible speakers here is my setup video utilizing those czcams.com/video/ac-oLIWJjh8/video.html

You who have tested both, besides sound at 360 degrees and different aesthetics, did you hear a lot of difference as a purely sound quality and clarity? or on this aspect the two speakers are on the same line?

But again they all sound great if you watch the video with headphones on i do a soundtest one versus the other you can actually hear the difference. But i just think for a on wall Setup your current speakers are the best for you but again this is my opinion. I appreciate your support And glad I could at least attempt to help you out 🙏😇
JB, another awesome video bro. I bought my Bose 700 system about 3 months ago and your previous setup video was the only reason I was able to get it sounding to its max potential at that time. The new recent software updates have made the system even more amazing. I had the same issue with changing my Samsung 4tv to Dolby Digital and at the first I had to switch all my external media streaming devices, including the DIRECTV box, to Dolby audio. Then it still wouldn’t give me the option on the tv and I couldn’t understand why. Finally the way I was able get it to work, was to use bitstream as the HDMI input format, instead of PCM and then bingo, it let me switch to Dolby Digital. That’s the only way it’ll work and using PCM for some reason doesn’t allow it on my setup, weird but true. Those new 700 speakers sound amazing and now I’m seriously considering getting them and taking the sound to the next level. Thanks again!

Whats funny is I had issues with bitstream cutting out. I get Dolby Digital to pop up without any issues. I was trying to put a finger on the exact cause. But everyone has a little different issue. One thing that did pop out to me everyone that replace their HDMI cable with a different one than the one that came with the system it fix the problem instantly I've always been big into upgrading all my HDMI cables right away but I would assume that probably 99% of the people just use what's in the box even with the soundtouch 300 it was the same thing they would get a new cable boom problem fixed very interesting and it usually starts to give people problem right after a software update I'm happy to say though now with the new software and everything I've troubleshooted a lot less problems and a lot more happy people😊 I truly appreciate you let me know if you ever get the 700 rears what you think of them🤔😉

Hi again JB. Great review of the 700 speakers. Even watching this video through youtube and using fairly decent desktop speakers with a sub, the difference between the old and new speakers was evident, crisp sounding with more space in the surround on the 700 speakers. I have to say I was quite surprised that tall, thin speakers could offer that quality in sound, but then again, it is Bose, so what did I expect lol. Thanks for uploading, very enjoyable. Okay. Thanks for your replies. I observed that it's not working via wireless or Bluetooth, can you explain to me how it's work with the two sub or how it's hooked up?
All you have to do is follow my setup video and set up your system. Then set up an additional sub the same way you set up the first one using the Bose music app. go to settings accessories speakers press add accessory follow the prompts. You also can use the Bose remote hold the Bluetooth play and pause buttons for 5 seconds until the bar starts to Blink. also to use two subs they must be done wirelessly only. you have to run the adapt IQ process once connected. The subs must be new and have not been connected to any other bar. Your 700 Soundbar will not connect to them as it will think they're for a different product. So you must do a manufacturer reset on both of the subs to start fresh. I already have the Bose 300 Soundbar and Acoustimass 300 subwoofer. The only thing holding me back from getting the Surround Speakers 700 is that I'm not sure how to place them in my living room. A stand of some sort on each side of my sofa would be excellent.

Don't worry completely understand my wife is exactly the same lol. Remember the speaker wireless are long and pretty small and can blend with baseboards then you can hide the boxes under the sitting area because you have so much length in the speaker cables. But min dis I would say 7 to 10 ft apart

Great job! You have the absolutely best videos on CZcams with regards to the Bose 700 surround sound system. I exchanged the virtually invisible Bose speakers for the Bose OmniJewel 700 rear surround speakers and now my system sound fantastic as compared to the Samsung Q950A system that I promptly returned. The one question that I have is after I have everything connected do the rear surround power modules need a line of sight with the soundbar or can I hide them out of the way?

I love my SoundLink Mini and SoundSport Free ear buds, and have been wanting a Bose soundbar ever since I first heard the SoundTouch 300. I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the 700 soundbar and sub this week. Since then, I have been trying to decide between the Surround Speakers or the 700 Surround Speakers. Much of what I have read is that the 700 Surround Speakers are not worth the extra $200. However, after hearing the difference between the two in your video, and your decisive endorsement of the 700 Surround Speakers, I am definitely going to spend the extra $200 and go with them. Thank you again for helping make the decision between the surround speakers a no-brainer! Like the Surround Speakers, I'm assuming the volume can be adjusted on the 700 Surround Speakers when listening to music; is that correct? Like others, it was nice to hear your closing comments in the video. As Morrie Schwartz famously said, "Love each other or die." Peace!

I considered the 900, and I'm sure many people will be happy about the addition of Dolby Atmos, but I like the sleekness of the glass top on the 700 without the up-firing speakers. In addition, I remember Bose reduced the price of the SoundTouch 300 to $400 after the release of the 700, so since Bose offers a 90-day trial period, I'm hoping to save some money if Bose reduces the price of the 700 within the next 90 days.

But to answer your question at first it sounded exactly the same. But now simply due to software updates the 700 def sounds better having said that they are each great systems and if you can get the 300 on sale Its 👍

Great video JB. Thanks for the in depth review. I cant believe how much better the Bose Surround 700s sound (even through CZcams). Before pull the trigger im wondering if I can ask for your opinion on my setup. I have an open concept room and therefore the kitchen is behind my livingroom couch. I plan on placing them behind my couch on stands. You (and others) recommend having the surround 700s 1 foot away from the wall behind you. In my case there aren't any walls behind me due to the open concept. In your experience, is there anything I need to consider with such a setup? I'm sure I'm not the only one with an open concept room. I realize I might be over thinking this.

Great video. I'm considering purchasing the full package for my basement. my issue is i'd have to point the rear speakers to the ceiling. You said in the video its best to be 1 foot in front of a wall on a table or couch. Is the ceiling still ok? Should i be 1 foot away from the wall/bulkhead still? I still follow my same Theory the difference with these speakers is they fire out all four sides the beauty is you can still Point them up however you're still going to get up and back and side firing sound it completely changes the sound of your system it's amazing I love it! I personally now cant really hear any difference when i use my atmos system.

Do you think this Bose system will handle the best audio quality produced by the Panasonic? I was apprehensive about purchasing this Bose system without Dolby Atmos, but this video has me second guessing this decision. awesome video! I'm a happy owner of the ST300 and the acoustimass subwoofer. I used them mainly for streaming music and podcasts. Would you recommend buying the surround speakers fot this purpose? I'm confused since I have read reviews saying that if the source audio is not 5.1 surround speakers won't sound at all. since music and podcasts are not 5.1 encoded would that be the case? what's your opinion?

You can follow the same method for placement in this video. The sub in the corner back of the room off to the right side. Line of sight is not important unless you have dropping issues.
Recently the Soundtouch 300 went on sale for $499.99 so I purchased it along with the Bose Surround Speakers $399.99 and Base Module 700 for $774.99

Needless to say this combination was a lot less than purchasing the 700 series across the board. The bose community confirmed that the hardware within the Soundtouch 300 is the same as the Soundbar 700 (less the assistant).
I believe you have used both systems, can you validate that I am not missing out on anything? Should the Soundtouch 300 and Soundbar 700 sound the same?

Also you are correct I own several of each systems and have tested them thoroughly. Remember the Bose 300 has something the 700 does not and that is an extra HDMI pass-through. As far as the extra Hardware goes you are correct they are relatively the same 700 having built in Google and Alexa the 300 having the extra HDMI. Also as you probably heard from the video you just watched the new 700 rear speakers that truly take each of these systems to the next level are compatible with both systems. If you want to run multi-room audio and build onto the systems you have the 300 which uses the soundtouch products and the 700 which uses the 300 500 speakers Etc here is my Bose folder with all of these videos on how to expand your system

all right so to sum this up today the 300 versus the 700 theoretically they should sound identical if you are using the same rear speakers and sub. Each of these systems are amazing and sound amazing but do to the 700 being the latest generation Bose now has been putting all efforts into the 700 and through software updates the 700 does now in fact sound better than the 300. So what does that mean for you honestly nothing you just saved yourself a ton of money and for the price you paid I would take the 300 system over the 700 system any day but if we were talking same price the same price of course you would want to go with a 700 because it's the latest addition and will continue to get more support and add-ons through the years. Either way my friend you are in the winning situation you have an amazing system at an amazing price I would definitely look into the new 700 rear speakers they truthfully take these systems to a whole new level with the 4-way firing rear speakers😊😉 I hope the information I provided helps you a little happy holidays

Its all a matter of preference hdmi Earc is good enough for now and future technology. unless you need another port for more outsourcing . The bose 700 runs the latest technology available in every aspect except some other sound formats like atmos. But that can even be added in a update. If I had to pick one I would pick the 700 i just prefer the sound.

Thank you so much for watching And subscribe me I'm thankful for your support😇🙏 yes I have heard them I own each first let me start by saying that they are both amazing systems I really don't think that you will be disappointed with either however the 650 will always be Bose top of the line surround sound basically to put it into simple terms I think for music the 700 sounds better and for surround sound the 650 sounds better as the 650 has true sound separation and Bass frequency giving you a little bit better surround sound now this is to a very trained ear some people might not hear any difference it really depends on the kind of content the size of your room and the Acoustics of your room. Having said that obviously these can't be apple-to-apple because there is quite a bit price difference between the two systems based off dollar-for-dollar I feel the 700 is a better buy but blanketed out what's the better system the 650 I highly recommend going to a bow Center if you have one where you live to see if you can hear them obviously we all hear differently and we all like different things you might like the 700 better or you might like the 650 better but to be clear either one you choose you will have a wonderful experience and I believe you will be very happy😉

Plus is not supported with this combination Leave it on Dolby. Even when it is on its not supported its breaking up your file and you lose quality

Very well explained - I have just bought the Samsung 65inch OLED C9PLA and the Bose 700 soundbar, 700 Sub and the surround 700 rear speakers - have yet to fine tune the sound.. early comments are the 700 sounder does not sound to defined and the bass is distorted on some TV shows (now have the soundbar bass set at 10 and the Sub at 0) . My current main issue is as per mentioned in your presentation I can get Alexa to turn the TV off but cannot turn the TV on. Also will not turn on via Samsung remote... I have to unplug the TV wait 30sec and plug back in... Something after spending that amount of money is rather annoying... and advice greatly received. I'm in the UK.

Make sure hdmi cec is turned on in the tv and sound bar
Also make sure to turn on match tv power state when on and off in bose app lastly remember the 700 sends the sinal out when you use the bose remote so make sure its not blocking the ir sensor on the bottom of the TV this will take care of any issues the video i linked above will also help😊😉

To answer your question is it future proof yes. Bose can add to it at anytime through software updates and product updates. The 700 is still in the first year of its cycle. Bose usual 4 to 5 years before releasing a replacement model. As far as Dolby Atmos goes I have tested just about all the top Soundbars out as well as I own some top-of-the-line surround systems. I can tell you this.. there is products that sound amazing and there is products that just put a bunch of specs on the package and sound awful. believe me when I tell you Dolby Atmos only sounds like Dolby Atmos in very high end systems typically that are $5,000 and more or the movie theater. Soundbars that put it on the label truthfully are a joke in comparison. Not saying they all sound bad just Atmos is nothing close to true Atmos in a theater ect. As a consumer we are easily sold by what is put on the box vs actual sound quality. I mean this honestly when I say this... I would put Bose against any product on the market in this price category and it sounds a million times better. Stadium sound has been around forever it's used in the NFL arenas and that's what Bose has been doing and doing right for many many years. Through the past till now. to be honest with you sound doesn't change much. they don't release new formats very often they just released new products so we buy new products. just think how long Dolby digital has been around and how still everybody uses it. the only reason why Dolby Atmos is so popular is because the theater systems. which the average home consumer can't compete with in a good price range. I'm a huge Samsung smartphone fan and my S10 + has Dolby Atmos on it lol. think about that that's about the biggest scam I've ever heard in my life lol. like a cell phone can really put out Dolby Atmos through its tiny little speakers. but this just reaffirms what I'm talking about. they're just putting this on products to make us think we're getting something special and we're not. My firm belief is the consumer is all that matters whatever system you buy no matter if it cost you $5 or thousands of dollars. if you're happy I'm happy for you. because at the end of the day you're the one listening to it and Enjoying Everyday not me. Would you recommend the shown equalizer settings for Center, Bass, Treble if you only have the soundbar? Sometimes i think the dialoges are a bit to quiet (i ran adaptiq).

I have the bose soundtouch 300, and don't have a ton more money to throw at this system, but if you had to pick between adding the sound module 700 subwoofer or the Omnijewel 700 surrounds speakers, which would you pick? And what about if you had to pick between the subwoofer and the older virtually invisible surround speakers? Thanks!

If you want to expand using muti room audio through wifi pairs or bose 500 speakers can be added. Great video, Curious. I have a bose soundbar 700 and base sub.The sound bar supports eARK .Just shopping for a new tv right now and curious if it will be much more of an improvement if I cant try and find a newer tv that supports eARC keeping in mind that my bose does not support DTS hd and DTS X. Dolby atmos dolby true hdWondering if I will be wasting my money trying to find a tv with this option. Thoughts|

If you want to have the latest technology at all times and that's really important than yeah I would want eArc. The nice thing is more and more tvs are going to have them. But I don't think that it is extremely important as you can always buy a reciever eArc compatible. The 700 itself could easily at any time add a atmos software update and sell a add in upfiring speakers. But it will not change your immediate situation in anyway due to the simple fact that you listed. Format that the bose support as of now😇

The 4 500s will run off wifi direct not bluetooth so the router will determine the quality experience. However, home audio can be done through wifi. Hi just seen your video. I currently have a Bose 300 soundbar along with the 300 bass unit and the original surround speakers. I'm looking to upgrade the soundbar to the new 900. Bose tell me I can still use the 300 bass unit and the original surround speakers. Is that correct? Also I'd like to upgrade the surround speakers to the 700 ones? Or what other options would you consider?

So im having a few issues with my soundtouch 300. On the samsung its not showing Hdmi output. Only digital output and its only giving pcm as the option. I have the bass module 500 too. Is that supposed to show up on the app, its not. Should start the process all over and do u have a video for that. Also does the white light to the right need to stay on for the bass to be connected
The tv is not recognizing the arc for some reason. Try unplugging the arc while everything is on and replug see if it recognized it. Also change hdmi cables and see. Right now it seems to only recognize the optical cable. Here is my problem solved video

I own a Soundbar 300 and Acoustimass 300. Now I want to upgrade the virtual speakers but in white, so I have to take the 700 ones.
Are they compatible or do only the black 300 ones work?

I have a ST300 and Acoustimass 300. If I get the Surround 700 Speakers and connect them to the 300 package, do I need to use to the Bose Music app for the Surround Speakers or will they show up in the Soundtouch app?
Thank you so much for watching and subscribing I'm honored for your support🙏😇 great question this is something I forgot to cover the answer is no you have to use the app you use for the soundtouch 300 and remember if you accidentally or purposely connected to one or the other you must completely remove them from the account in order for them to connect to the other system so if you have them connected to your soundtouch 300 and one day you upgrade to the 700 you will have to make sure to deactivate them from the 300. However you do connect them for your soundtouch 300 using the soundtouch app😇🙏
Well done for this. You do an absolute great job on your reviews. I was wondering whether to get samsung HW-Q90R (because of dolby atmos) or Bose 700 complete soundbar/sub/rears. To go along with panasoniz GZ950 oled tv. Any idea whether samsung is the better deal since it has atmos? Would appreciate some insight here and your opinion which one you would choose to go with. But if it were me and the cost was equal and of course I'm talking complete systems on the Bose side with sub and the rear 700 speakers I would pick the Bose. the Y it's because to me it just sounds better and there's just not enough content out there to really make use no stop use of Atmos. And even then it still sounds better on the Bose side to me. again this is my opinion and you might think completely differently and either system would be a wonderful addition to your home😉

I agree with you on the bose I had the opportunity to hear the 700 soundbar with sub and they sound incredible in the showroom. So I can only imagine what they will sound like at home AND with the addition of the rear 700 speakers. Where I live the complete bose cost €500 more but I think I would rather save up and get BOSE.
